That certainly got my juices flowing. Cannot wait.

This latest patch and the fact you can search the summoning pool 'near & far' is an absolute godsend. I've been getting summoned non-stop and the search time is maybe 30 seconds at most. Its the same for invasions if you're that way inclined.
Its given the game a whole new lease of life.

RRR
I loved it. The direction and action choreography were so good, and really inventive in places. To my surprise i even enjoyed all the singing and dancing.
It kinda felt like a live action adaptation of a 90's era Disney animation. So jolly!

Just as a word of caution I really liked the Vita version of MGS2 but the screen was a little too small for 3. There's a lot of picking slightly different types of green out to shoot them over the game and I'm not sure that tiny screen is the best way to experience it. Hell of a game though, you're lucky to get to experience it for the first time!
Damn! Thanks for the warning. I only went that direction because i remember buying it years ago but never actually playing it.
Guess i'l wait for the PC re-release.

I think i've only ever played the first hour of Snake Eater. I should remedy that! This thread has inspired me to do so.
Downloading the HD Collection on Vita.
Seems like the perfect fit.

Season 3 just hit Hulu and the high seas.

Well chuffed about this! Like everyone, i bought the original then Dark Arisen on basically every platform ever.
Might re-visit my Max Level character on Switch, despite owning the PC version with all the funky mods.

Alien Resurrection (1997)
Remains the most batshit Alien film to date, and probably the worst, although it has Ron Perlman and Michael Wincot. It's more of a JeanPierre Jeanut film than an Alien, and I just saw was written by Joss Whedon, and suddenly a lot of things make more sense. Still, I enjoyed it.
3 hybrid xenomorphs out fo 5
I've always thought this would be far more revered if the Alien name and franchise weren't attached - basically Jeunet does sci-fi.
Yeah, its still bonkers, but i love it regardless.

Despite my 4 different builds on the go, i fancy something with a little more spice/quirkiness.
SL1 seems really easy given there's already a '1-shot all bosses at SL1' run out there. So following the build guide is dull after you have everything on the shopping list. Plus STR weapons are so boring.
I was considering a no mount build, but my LH analogue stick and LH thumb would die waaayy before my character. 😂
I want to recreate 'Rhoy The Explorers' adventures from DS2. But unless you know of a fan-made patch for the PC version that adds Durability to this game, its not gonna be the same.
Can you can beat the game without lighting any Grace points? Has that been done yet? Just bee-lining the main story bosses. I could do that i think. If you die...back to the tutorial.
Answer below with exciting suggestions.
*Edit* A Consumable Only run seems like a no-brainer. Its been done already, so its proven. But it'd give me a chance to delve into the Crafting aspects of this game, which we'll all admit we barely touched on our first run.

I haven't laughed, cried, been flabbergasted by a movie that much since...i don't know when.
Truly remarkable!

OMG you got it bad.
Well i'm here for 8 weeks, and there are certain parts of the day where its too hot outside. So Air-Con and Elden Ring are a perfect combo!

Really enjoying my Spellsword build.
Level 50. Slowly building INT, so i can use the beefy spells later on.
Dual-rocking Moonveil+6 in RH, and Meteoric Blade+6 in LH for powerstance business. Can't level them any higher yet because of 1.4.02 nerfs to shortcut abusing scenery. I'm also background levelling a regular Uchi (+15 at the moment) in preparation for anything that has damage negation against my magic attacks.
Gotta say, Swift/Great Glintstone Shard spells have made mincemeat out of what i considered troublesome enemies and bosses first time aroud (specifically the rock hard Miners in the various Tunnels, and even moreso those Cuntish Cat Twins that're constantly in mid-air). Very happy to vapourise them with zero effort!
Loving this game all over again! And i'm surprised how many locations i have completely forgotten about. I suppose thats bound to happen when you play Souls drunk. 🍻
Oh shit! I nearly forgot to shoutout my Skeletal Bandit Spirit. That motherfucker does not die! I swear i heard the sound effect that you normally get when you kill a reviving skelly, but he still got up! Amazing summon early game. Highly recommended. 👍

Okay, i can see why Moonveil is the go-to weapon for Magic builds - Transient Moonlight is just too good!

I've restarted this on my laptop while i'm on holiday abroad. Runs really well, although the fan noise and laptop temperature are worrysome after a few hours play.
I have 4 builds on the go because i like the early preparation hours the best.
Also means if i get bored i can switch at anytime. My main on PS5 was pure DEX, so i've been making builds of various other playstyles.
I really like the Meteoric Ore Blade on my Mage. I know Moonveil is the go-to-blah-blah, which is why i purposely avoided bee-lining for it (i don't play meta). The MeteorBlade's standard moves are different from a regular Katana, which is probably why i like it so much. Plus the Weapon Art is really good now it has some hyper-armour on startup - great for AOE blasting of trash mobs. I am still early-ish so none of the spells i have are doing anything spectacular, but the ranged spamming is a reminder of what easy-mode actually looks like.
Glad you lot are all still stuck in! Mainly because there isn't anything else to play that comes close to the quality of this game.
Anyway, back to it!

Where's the cheapest place to get a copy of the PC version? I'm off on holiday next week and i'm gonna want to play it on my laptop. 😊

Convenient bump! I restarted this today on PS5. I played the PC version on release but not to completion.
I semi-remembered the early, intro bits as they played out, which are fine, but once you get free roam to do whatever you want, i was stunned (again) by how glorious Night City is!
I got nothing done of course, just wandered on foot (as suggested in this here thread) and took in the sights, soaked up the atmosphere, shot some goons.
Once i did call my car to travel a decent distance, it felt oddly satisfying to be behind the wheel after so much open world horseback. 😆
I'm definitely gonna crack on tomorrow.

Every level is stunningly recreated!
And the character models are bee-you-tee-full!

Is the consensus that anything above level 150 means you'll be locked out of most jolly cooperation?
You can password jolly coop with any level (I'm 150), hint hint.

The end game areas in this piss all over the end game areas of DkS, 2 and Bloodborne imo. Especially over the first which is laughably, laughably bad by that point.
We weren’t discussing the areas, which are spectacular, more the enemy ATK numbers. 😚

Maybe I should extrapolate; I would’ve like a remixed, bad boy version of known enemies in the later levels, so when they fuck you up, you understand this is the 2.0 version.
