My Dex is at 55 without the Great Rune buff, and its still showing an increase with every Soul Level, so definitely no diminishing returns yet.

You should never carry that much around.

My fashion garments (not even armour) need to go out the window. My Sword Dance no longer breaks through the attacks of the beefy armoured foes because their poise is clearly greater than mine.

It wasn't a problem early game but these fuckers hit hard. 

Just dropped 36K Runes in a level (too big to be called a dungeon) thats so convoluted i have no idea if i can re-trace my steps. 

Scared to death. Shields up. Peeking around every corner. Proper Souls.

Found some fashion. Fuck all defence, but thats not the point is it. 

If anyone needs help, be sure to shout out. I'm tooled up enough to know i can coop drunk. 

You’ll find there's a delay on a lot of summon signs - as in they’ve already gone to someone else’s world by the time you see it glow on your floor.

Just keep spamming them, it’ll work eventually.

 I also jolly coop'd with some randoms last night (as a phantom) and i saw some outlandish shit being thrown out there. Made me jealous at the spectacle of it all. 

I am so happy!! The universal emote in Souls games is press block in quick succession and wiggle your shield/weapon about, so you know you're cooperating with veterans.

Now, the new success emote is just press jump repeatedly. At least that's the trend I'm helping build. 

I have found the perfect jolly coop spot for my level, and I'm racking up Rune Arcs for solo buffs later.

Once you have it powered from the tower, you can just enable it in the menu whilst resting at a Grace. The first one seems to give a boost to your stats. The old woman at Roundtable will trade the bosses soul in for 1 of 2 weapons

You don't have to hold down it on your horse. Just press once to gallop.

Playing this game for 14 hours straight clearly takes it out of ya. Thats the best sleep I've had in ages!

I did dream about my build though, and what direction i want to take. So today we realise that dream...after coffee.

I found him, but this early in the game he's only got the Mage starting spells plus one extra. I assume he's there (like other NPC vendors) for players who want to dabble, not those dedicated to one specific trait.

I know because my second build is a pure Caster. I was hoping my discoveries on my main might propel my second, but it seems not.

I finally discovered a decent set of armour where my female Vagabond actually looks like a woman. Its not the prettiest set in the world, but i managed to grind all the pieces, and the colour scheme matches her hair perfectly.

Now the real Elden Ring begins...

I've been doing nothing but exploring all day (maybe 8 hours on my main build) and i've uncovered (but only seen a tiny fraction of) the entire map. To say its massive is an understatement! The amount of crazy looking monstrosities i've bumped into, then hastily galloped away from is almost comical. There's soooooo much content here its hard to comprehend! Only now, as i'm resting and thinking about it, its dawning on me how immense this game actually is.

Not gonna say anymore for now. Hope you lot are enjoying yourself.

💪 I never stay up for midnight launches, but the next 3 hours i spend in the character customisation and stat deliberation (before i pass out) will save me valuable time tomorrow.
