Yeah my first reaction was Masterworks are now worthless. Why make it take up a mod slot?

The element affinity pisses me off no end so I just run the same armour for everything. I can't be fucked with 4 armour sets or switching shit around or uuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh.

Ironically the only catalyst I wanted was Le Monarque and now it's got it it doesn't seem worth grinding out. Not sure what it does yet though.

Unrelenting should make it really good for survivability given how potent the poison burst is, although It would have been nice if that had got a little size buff too.

How come we were pretty solid for the three months our best CB was out, and as soon as he’s come back we’ve looked a shambles again ?!?

Losing Dier from the back has thrown the balance off, which really shows how much better he's been since Conte arrived.

That midfield was odd though, can only imagine that Hojbjerg was also nursing a knock as throwing Winks in there with a still adjusting Bentancur was always going to be a problem.

  3. I wouldn't be so quick to replace him, especially short-term. He may not be the absolute best but he offers a degree of leadership there that nobody else really does, and that's an important element. It is unfortunate for Skipp as he's done nothing really wrong, though.

Hasn't Willis just settled for a flat fee for X minutes in a film?

Not a bad way to make money if you can't be bothered acting anymore.

A few people in the comments suggesting that him dropping down to this kind of film & needing an earpiece for lines is due to progressing dementia, which would be pretty damn sad if accurate.

Obviously we know nothing about the dressing room dynamics, but getting rid of Dele, LC, Ndom will surely only bring a better mood to the camp.

I would imagine people will miss Dele as he's been there for so long and was good mates with a number of players, I saw somewhere Lo Celso was pretty unpopular though.

Ndombele and Dele going. Just need Lo Celso out and it's the perfect hat trick.

As long as Villareal can clear a squad spot it looks like he's also off.

  7. Seems both Kulusevski and Betancur are now close, that'd be 2/3 of the supposed targeted positions filled for the window. Of Paratici can pull a RWB out of somewhere too then the results of the window suddenly look quite good.

  8. It looks to me like a mixture of Luma & Chroma keying on the shots. For example the shot at 3.03 has some green fringing around the space in the top layer of footage, I expect that was masked out on the shoot with some green material filling the space, and then they've used a Chroma key to remove it and create the transparent area. Then at 3.13 where the hair is transparent they've inverted the colour to make it a negative and used a Luma key to remove the lightest area.

Edit: If it were me I'd be making that kind of stuff in After Effects rather than relying in those effects within standard editing software, mind.

Who are the two players loaned?

I would imagine he's referring to Maitland-Niles and Mari, neither of which appear to have obligations to buy attached?

I was one of those who hoped that with a bit of time Ndombele would come good, but I just don’t think he gives a shit.

It's funny that Nuno seemed to get the most out of him whilst getting the least out of everyone else. It's too bad he just doesn't seem interested now, seeing how much Winks has come on in a short space of time and wondering where Ndombele could be with the same level of buy-in is depressing.

He might be under even more pressure when we field a 9 man team tomorrow. I hope we forfeit and just leave that stupid competition.

    Game has been postponed now.

The destruction of Alli's career has been weird to watch from the outside. He was at one point one of the most exciting attack-minded midfielders around, but he also had a physicality that allowed him to really tough it out in the middle of the pitch too. Then his form started to drop, pundits started getting on his back about his attitude and it's just spiralled from there. Where did it all go wrong? I recall the criticism from the outside was that he looked like he thought he'd made it and started getting too big for his boots, but is there any truth to that? Did he suffer as part of the team's general woes? Has he fallen out of love with the game?

There's some mentality issues there but I also think his development as a player hasn't been quite right for the skills he does have. His passing and pace really aren't good enough for someone who's supposed to be a midfielder, and without the likes of Eriksen and Poch-era Dembele around him that gets exposed much more often. I think he probably should have been moved into being a forward as his technique and goal instincts have always been good, but with Kane at the club I doubt that was ever seen as an option.

  13. Your contenders:

Edit: FIFA have blocked embedding it seems, but the link should go to the playlist.

Absolutely love Weir's lob and of course Lamela's cheeky rabona, but I think I'd have to give it to Pavlidis' mazy run. Who would your pick be, and what goal do you think the folks at FIFA have missed out?

    Possible lineups

Lo Celso & Ndombele would both need to improve a lot for those to work, I expect it to remain either/or with those two with Ndombele being first pick. The midfield does need to be more creative but I think that will come from tactical improvement rather than a change in personnel.

It was an impossible task as it looks like there's a few rotten apples in the barrel to me. As a fan I can understand the problem when you get tactically out thought, as either the instructions were bad or the players didn't understand them and you get done. At that point you have to say the manager is lacking in ideas or communication skills I guess, but Spurs against Man Utd were playing in slow motion. I'd be so pissed off the players thought that was acceptable, just downing tools until the manager gets the bullet. Some of them that's what, three coaches they've done that to? Someone like Dele Alli appears emblematic of the problems. Underperformed for years and his squad role seems to be to hang around waiting to be made an example of to the rest of the team.

The squad has needed a big refresh since Pochettino said exactly that, and it essentially got him sacked. If Levy had listened to him then the rebuild would probably be done by now, instead it's about 1/3 of the way through and there's a bunch of stale players still hanging around.

Not a single shot in the second half.

I watched it, and to be fair I thought we were alright, could have scored 2-3 in first half.

West Ham fairly solid, and once again they score from a set piece.

What is really worrying is that once WH scored, we had absolutely nothing to come back with. Lack of tactical options from the manager, lack of intensity/drive from the players.

I missed the first half annoyingly. Didn't think the performance in the second was bad in the first 2/3 of the pitch, but as soon as it came to turning the possession into a chance it fell apart. The team was seemingly determined to play through the middle of a very solid defence and it was never going to work. Nuno did try to change it up I think when he brought on Gil & Bergwijn but it didn't work at all, and West Ham really exploited Gil not being comfortable as a WB to end the game on the front foot.

To be honest I do still think there were the same green shoots visible that were present against Villa. There was definitely a clear intent to retain possession, control the game and build patiently, but it didn't pay off and it looks like there's an element missing currently. That might be helped by players coming back from injury, but it's probably a gap that needs to be filled with an incoming player, along with a number of outgoings.

I'd maybe be on board with him being a background leader/mentor, but even then it does feel a bit forced. There's nothing in those films that I can recall that suggests that Bruce would be the man to lead a group of superheroes.

It's better left as it's own thing I think. Have it as a gimmick for the Flash movie, and leave it be.

This could be a spoiler for the Flash movie if you're unfamiliar with Flashpoint:

    Spoiler

Isn't he going to be Thomas Wayne, rather than Bruce? That would open up the possibility of having two Batmen (Batmans? Bats Men? I dunno it's a weird thing to pluralise).
