  1. Can anyone recommend a good video converter for the psp? Have a long drive ahead of us on holiday. Loaded a 64gb card with films converted with a freebie I found online....picture is fine but sound quality terrible. Sounds like you're listening under water!
  2. Ah, of course. Have just checked ours and the socket doesn't exist! Will have to brave the loft in that case and hunt for the 2000 that's up there somewhere. Thanks both
  3. Hi Nick, They make both...but like you suggest, I can only see it advertised for the 2000 and 3000.
  4. Can anyone confirm if the rca composite cable works with the psp 1000 (just for watching mp4 films)? Just posted in the wanted forum but not 100% it's compatible.
  5. Well....I tried one of the unbranded/cheap ones out today, and it doesn't appear to be very compatible with my tv. N64 doesn't look great, and changing the screen ratio makes no difference. Dreamcast obviously looks better, but the worst thing is the amount of static snow I'm seeing....do you get that Riven?
  6. Thanks for posting those Riven. I think it could look a lot worse so going to give one a try. I think you're right about the type of tv. Bought my son a cheap Techwood 49" smart tv and connectivity is much better than ours as has HMDI, component, scart, and vga. Plugged the snes straight in via a RGB cable and it looked great. Looks dire in comparison via composite on our Samsung. Out of interest, do you know if the scalers can be powered via a tv's usb socket?
  7. F**k, is it really that bad? Scart to HDMI would be ideal, as only have a couple of HDMI and component sockets on the tele. All the later gen are up and running - just the N64 and SNES outstanding. Is there anything out there for under £50 that will be 'good enough'?
  8. lol, yes please Reviews on amazon look pretty good to be fair, but have more faith in you guys.
  9. Looking for a cheaper option at this stage, and just required for SNES and N64 really. Can anyone confirm if these are as good as the one demoed by Adam?
  10. No VGA unfortunately. Have seen these VGA to HDMI converters though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VGA-to-HDMI-HD-1080P-HDTV-Video-Converter-Box-Adapter-for-PC-Laptop-DVD-TV-NEW/272227416530?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150313114020%26meid%3Df9d174c92c6e413fad4f7aba714d0c02%26pid%3D100338%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D281861233227 Anyone tried one? Don't know....reviews are a little sketchy though. Anyone tried one of these?
  11. That's very kind of you Nick, Long as hell is exactly what I'm after, as next job is to try and tidy up the dangling mess of cable underneath the tv! I'll pm you.
  12. Of course....that's saved me a few quid thanks. Looks like a great piece of kit, but way over budget for me at the moment!
  13. Is it just me or are component to component cables really hard to find? One here that ships from the states, but quality doesn't look great?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3ft-to50ft-COMPONENT-VIDEO-CABLE-WITH-AUDIO-5-RCA-For-VIDEO-CAMERAS-HDTV-DVD-VCR-/121351941369?var=&hash=item1c4123acf9:m:mSvjKYKXVkB0qhFGjnLO8nA
  14. Excellent, thanks for that. Will need to get a component cable for the PS2 as well. That's 2 down and 3 to go!
  15. No, have both. Obviously just one input though,....I guess you can buy component splitter boxes?
  16. I'm sure this information will be somewhere else, so apologies for asking again.....but happy to be signposted to another thread. Our old CRT finally packed up, and it's been replaced with a Samsung UE48JU6000 (low end 4k ultra HD). No scart connection....just usb, composite/component, and HD. Hooked up the snes, dreamcast, N64, PS2 and wii, and they all look.....naff :-( I knew it wasn't going to be a CRT image, but didn't think it would this bad. Any advice appreciated. Thanks,
  17. yep, definitely a lot cheaper via Us sellers: Sentinel are charging £96 per 100 $65 here: http://www.retroprotection.com/product.sc?productId=20&categoryId=34 Will have to investigate shipping costs. Of course if you wanted to by 3000.... http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/clear-plastic-case-protectors-for-NES_60074476530.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.VvJtbn
  18. Just realised how much some of these games are selling for now Have just about every PAL and NTSC-U game released, including a minty boxed copy of stunt racer. Just stacked up on top of each other in a cupboard at the moment, so should probably be taking better care of them. Can anyone recommend anywhere to buy Nintendo 64 box protectors in bulk, that won't break the bank? Thanks
  19. Love these guys, and will miss their annual shows dearly :-( Anyone who is a fan, or has seen them live before will know what I'm talking about. http://youtu.be/NSmcOtNM2qY
  20. Snap...with the exception of stunt racer You'll need a passport plus 3 to play the latter on your PAL though.
