  1. The Catalyst booster in the season pass - is that just to unlock the catalyst or to activate it? I've got the Grand Overture's catalyst but no idea if I should do all the kills now with a benefit or not.
  2. 163! im 122 in the mountaintop and no idea what to level. At 80 int so anything else is feeling like incremental padding.
  3. I'd imagine it's the "causes bleed build up" in bottom right of new one. So you do less damage but build up a status effect that causes damage when triggered

Just seen my first blood stain with a group circle round - near a beast in the Capital The capital is lovely - so many routes/dead ends, I expect the "main path" is actually quite short, but you can get lost for ages exploring. It absolutely rains Rune items on you though - I assume this is because you could be a variety of levels by time you get here and there's an absolute beast of a boss coming up. Eeek.

  15. In terms of basic main game route yes - but you can go anywhere. As far as I know where you're talking about is an optional area - but also an important one
  16. There's a few of them throughout the game - nearly always in tiny tiny rooms where it's huge (often clipping into walls) and a) hard to see it's tells and b) nearly impossible to move out of range. you need to block/use iframes.
  17. The scale factor might increase. You can see if it will before you commit, but only for next level up. So if you've got a +0 hammer there's no way (in game) that I know of seeing when/if it's scaling will change (you can look on a website) other than if you're going to turn it into a +1 hammer. It's a pretty good guess it will do though. I don't think there's any "trash" weapons in the game,. A scale factor of D might turn your 20 str in 20 bonus damage. A scale factor of B might turn your 20 str in 40 bonus damage. If you find a weapon/playstyle you like you should normally put you stats into what it scales with - and what it scales best with. Eg all the scaling might not change/reach cap. .e.g you might have Str C, Dex E, Faith E weapon. Something holy related but still based on your muscle power for damage (e.g. a holy mace?). That might increase but it's unlikely all of those will reach Str probably will, but Dex/Faith will probably not reach S rank It's almost certain to scale. And Smithing Stones are very abundent later. It's only when you're getting to max weapon levels they become super rare I suspect. I haven't got there yet but in Dark Souls for instance you could only get one or two weapons to max level per playthough, although you could get most to close.

If you look at a weapon it'll say something like "Physical 109 + 20" There's a range of stats but I'm focusing on this one Then below they'll be scaling For instance Str D, Dex D, Int - That weapon does 109 points of Physical damage on it's own. You Str/Dex are adding "20" damage based on a "D" rate. So in total you do 129 points of Physical damage. If you level up the weapon it's base stats should increase. e.g. +0 "Physical 109 + 20" +1 "Physical 114 + 20" +2 "Physical 119 + 20" So you are doing more damage total based purely on the weapon without leveling your character. Likewise if you put points in Str or Dex the bonus damage will increase. You'd get nothing It's only D rank so probably not by very much. E.g. 1 point in Str might only increase it to 21. But as you level up the weapon it's scaling might increase (D to C to B to A to S). The better the rank the more the bonus damage increases. e.g. A D rank might be 20 bonus, but a S rank might be 60. What a weapon scales with depends on weapons. Heavy slow weapons tend to be Str, Agile quick weapons Dex. Magic weapons Int etc
