I could have put any number of songs but it always comes back to this. Hauntingly beautiful but on the caveat it has to be the full version and none of the 3 min nonsense that puts the crescendo in far too early.
This was one of the first songs i thought of too - amazing live - the bass is so intense i can still remember the way i felt the song as much as heard it. Good old summer sundae @ DeMontford hall.
Others that spring instantly to mind.... But there's so many.

In the end it's got to be... if only for the experience of a nice load of mushrooms, some Don Darias, and watching the sun come up at Beeston castle at some point in the mid-90s with this on in the background.

The Magicians, The Magicians Wotsit, The Magician's Land - Lev Grossman
First book is Hogwarts for depressed, insanely bright outcasts; crossed with a bit of Narnia. Works well.
Second book is what happens if you're not able to get into Narnia, and starts to get much more into myth rather than just Narnia.
Third book commits to the premise, discarding CS Lewis entirely and trampling on the corpse.
Quite enjoyed them (I can usually tell, because I'll blow through a trilogy in a weekend rather than over the course of a few months).
First couple of episodes of the TV series (which I started watching in parallel with starting the second book) didn't grab me though.
Same - i liked the books a lot. They're a lot less full of hipster bullshit than the TV series and develop the characters massively.

Just been reading comments on F1Fanatic and theres a number of people saying that blue flags (and indeed blue lights) were being shown in error, one person claims a lone Mercedes was shown blue flags as was Alonso when Rosberg was behind him, this was all at the last corner apparently.
No idea how true any of that is but if so then something was clearly going wrong with the running of the race this weekend.
Aye - i saw a couple of Blue situations
that weren't flagged. Wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot the other way round.

Aye - i agree really, but it's pretty cut and dry from the rule book. I reckon if it is a commercially advantageous then there could be an appeal, but it'd be a judgement call from the top and lots of digging into telemetry to see if people stopped pushing after they saw the 'first' chequered flag potentially enabling a pass, even then it'd still be a bit hit and miss.
If it's lawyers and engineers then any data could almost be shown to mean anything.
Poor "Dave" will probably be cleaning Uranium from worked boots next week.

Art 43.2Should for any reason the end-of-race signal be given before the leading car completes the scheduled number of laps, or the prescribed time has been completed, the race will be deemed to have finished when the leading car last crossed the Line before the signal was given.Should the end-of- race signal be delayed for any reason, the race will be deemed to have finished when it should have finished.Daft mistake, but the result should stand. Everyone went the full distance to cover their arse just in case the powers that be made in unheard of insane decision.Does make Lewis' comment make sense now - i for one had no idea what he was talking about.0
