  1. Added Pang to the list. Also added Qix because there needs to be something beginning with Q, plus it's an all time classic. This is a great idea by the way...
  2. Tokyo Highway Challenge Sega Rally 2 was massively disappointing, but this little gem was one of the Dreamcast's best racers. Pure old-school arcade racing fun.
  3. Try the v56 version and see if that makes a difference. If not, then go for the latest Mame 32 release. http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/down.htm You may have to update your existing roms, as Synchronated Undertaker mentioned, but it will certainly be worth it.
  4. Some older builds of Mame definitely had a gear shift problem in Outrun, but this has been fixed for the newer versions. What version are you running, qazimod? With a new version (0.81 was released yesterday, folks) the problem should go away.
  5. http://www.microsoft.com/xna/multimedia.aspx Is this a glimpse into the future? Or just some pre-rendered guff? You decide...
  6. Judging from the demo, Carve seems to be unspeakably bland and dull. I was expecting much better, especially after Edge gave it a 7.
  7. Meet me at main and unexpected? "Software for the next generation of gaming"? Oooof! *Cue Delorean picture*
  8. Desert Strike Herzog Zwei Ranger X Snow Brothers Alien Soldier Good conversions of Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder and Speedball 2 are worth a look, too.
  9. + = Gah, by far the most obscure and darn right irritating anti-piracy device the world has ever seen. Even when used properly I still couldn't decipher the bloody code...
  10. http://www.xgaming.co.uk/info.htm I really, really want one, but at £99.99 it's a little out of my range at the moment. Plus, I don't think I could find the space for it...
  11. "Amiga/Atari ST screens shown" Usually on the back of a CPC/C64/Spectrum game from US Gold. Bastards.
  12. PC with a USB pad... A bit like a bloated Dual Shock with the same shoddy analogue sticks. Surprisingly good button layout, though. And it's about a million times better than those horrid Microsoft Sidewinder pads. To be honest, I really should invest in an X-Arcade stick to play Mame games.
  13. The Mini Dance Finger Pad gets my vote for being the most bizarre controller I've ever seen. "Use your fingers rather than your feet".... indeed.
  14. Excellent work, gentlemen. Kudos all round.

    Rogue Leader

Tesco are doing Rogue Leader for £9.49... Plus postage, natch. http://www.tesco.com/entertainment/Browse.asp?Item=464531
  16. Hold the black button and press up or down on the D pad to select which custom soundtrack you want. Left and right cycles through the songs of the selected soundtrack.
  17. http://www.gamespot.com/all/news/screenindex_6086244.html Nice to see they put the USB ports at the back of the unit. Real user-friendly... Also, you may or may not have heard of DISCover/ApeXtreme... http://www.discoverconsole.com/
  18. I Ran by Flock of Seagulls
  19. Has anyone tried Viva Nonno, the Ridge/Rave Racer emulator?
  20. Google>....*cough*......emu.......*cough*....russia....*cough*. I MUST see a doctor...
  21. You've answered your own question there - it is an arcade football game. If you want a tactical and realistic passing game then obviously PES 3 is perfect. However, if you want end to end action and a plethora of spectacular goals, ISS 98 is where it's at.
