  1. I certainly won't be buying one straight away like I did with the ps2. I was completely suckered in with all this talk of a huge revolution in games, and *had* to have one on launch week. The most impressive thing I saw was the draw distance on smugglers run (which incidentally I'm still impressed with) I'd somehow imagined virtually infinite polygons, razor sharp detail and an end to fogging. All the little niggly problems with games would be gone, but all we ended up was a souped-up dreamcast I'm going to leave it a while before I buy a ps3.

    Predator Online

I love playing as the alien, there's nothing more satisfying than dropping from the ceiling onto somebody and biting their head off I love leaping about and sticking to the walls then dropping onto somebody. It's the most fun I've had in years, there's so much freedom as the alien

Could I just point out that 'Orbit' the band on stage one are the worst thing I've ever heard in my life. With people like them getting a record deal I sometimes hope for a nuclear holocaust
  4. I'd love to try it out U2031 at U2031.com
  5. Dammit! I'm going to have to go and play it now, curse you all, another night down the drain

    GBA programming

Thanks for all the replies, I think I've bitten off more than I can chew here. I'm going to have a look at the HAM stuff and I might have a play with dragon basic as well. If I ever get anywhere, it'll be a long slow process
  7. It's not a very powerful piece of kit, and it only has 2 megs of memory, so I would hazard a wild guess at no I have seen a palm version of rogue though, that would work really well on palm, and it's the first thing I'll install when I get one

    GBA programming

After playing Wario ware I'd love to have a tinker at making games in a similar vein, just something quick. I've never done any programming before, apart form the usual basic stuff back in the day Where would I start? I was thinking of working on the games in my pc, then testing them in an emulator. Obviously you could only play the games with a flash linker or in an emulator but that would suit me fine. Do you compile programs like you would with C? What's the programming language closest to? Is it like C or basic or whatever? How do you make sound? Am I biting off more than I can chew here, for a first time programmer?
