  1. It's called a stencil. GAWWDDD!! It's like a child's toy...that has endured the abuse of a child with a bottle of tippex and a black spray can. WOWZERS!!
  2. I'd probably say a tied between Midway and Acclaim. Atari have done well lately, having many successful releases, and I hardly see Sega closing, with the imminent release of Sonic Heroes (which I almost guarentee will be a big success). Ubi Soft are doing well for themselves, and have had some stunning releases (PoP, oh yes!).
  3. What, did a big Cake come round to your house, and speak in his cream voice saying "THIS CUBE iS TEH ACE! IT BE REAL!!!!!11", or something? Perhaps.
  4. Haha, even better! I think I'll make one, then put it on eBay. ULTRA RARARAEEE!!!111 And Pritt Stick on Margaret Thatcher's face over the disc plate on the top.
  5. Just because the username has the word Cake in it, doesn't mean anything.
  6. LOL. Look at the right hand side of the grey plastic part where the controllers go in. The spray paint that the guy used as run onto it. BAD paint job. And the colours hardly go well either. I think he tipexed on the ships.
  7. It's exactly the same for me. I enjoy spending money on games, consoles and the like, and due to where I work (Gamestation), I get to spend more money on it all! I'd rather not spend money on a motorbike, or a car, as I don't need either - and yes, before you say it, I NEED my games. And it probably costs me less than a car does too. If anyone frowns on my hobby, they can pish awf, it's got nothing to do with them, and it's not my fault they can't accept that someone likes something other than getting hammered down the local recamatorium every night drinking their cider.
  8. Just like you can't imagine Nintendo giving demo discs away with the magazine. Which the official Xbox and PS2 mags do every issue. Granted, the music CD is pretty cool, and I wish more mags would do stuff like that, it's just annoying when NGC keeps giving away shit, which entices no one. Anyone else have trouble with the bullet, and pushing the stopper in it's ass? Just me? Oh.

    Smash Bros Melee music.
  10. It's less than a tenner secondhand in Gamestation (IIRC), so why rent it, when you can buy it for twice that price? Pretty decent and quirky game.
  11. Did you even read this thread? GAH! to you.
  12. What does it matter how many other accessories the Minidisc has sold aside from blank discs? What was the original intention then? I'd seriously like to know. And yes, you can pick up albums, I remember seeing some in Dixons a while back... But the Minidisc (that's a c) supplies me with recordable music on the go (e.g. find a headphone socket, plug it in and record), and all the many downloads I've acquired. The PSP wouldn't be a failure if it sold bugger all games, not if the console itself sold many units. As there would still be a profit, as highlighted in the news article. So you are seriously suggesting that it would be fine if the PSP was the pirates dream? No offical software/movies/sounds at all? You are on another planet. The Minidisc was supposed to be the next CD, but with all the benefits of tape. You can get Minidisk albums pretty much no-where. On that front, its been a huge flop. In terms of a viable alternative to a tapor CD compilation - its been great. Though Sony will not want the PSP to go the same way. This is a bid to make huge great big piles of cash. The Minidisc is just for pirating methods now? A lot of people copy from CD to Minidisc for a portable means to listen to their music (with being able to fit on around 10 albums in some cases). The Minidisc, as explained above, was meant to be the next step up from tape, but with the recording facility. For example now, you can't get tapes anywhere. So I don't think you've really got the idea of it yet.

  14. I'd hardly call Minidisc a failure in this country. As for the other two, they were never really pushed over here. The Minidisc has been popular in the UK, I've got one, many of my friends do, even ones without PCs. The GBA does have an MP3 player add-on, but the quality is quite bad, so you may as well go for one of the small keyring type ones, for £50. I can't see the PSP selling very well, even among the casuals. Even for £199.99, it'll be overpriced. £149.99, and I'd probably get one - but that's assuming that all this video play will actually work at all. And if they have any half decent games.
  15. Me too. This issue's was brilliant. I just found it really entertaining. Redeye's column was brilliant too, found myself laughing a fair bit. Which is good, probably.
  16. Do you get that cool chinese-looking guy as your Ubi-Soft rep? He's cool. If that's the guy I think it is, he always comes round with a laptop and acts really suave. Etc etc. That the guy? If so, then yeah. Where do you work, out of interest?
  17. Same here, I can't play Halo or PGR2 with the S, it's too small and PlayStation-like (I hate the PSX/2's pad). The "big" controller is just fine thankyouverymuch!
  18. Because this is a first time buyer, he probably won't have a clue. The PS2 doesn't have far more better games, GTA Double Pack, on Xbox, PoP, coming to Xbox, Halo, only on Xbox, all the rest of the games, mostly on Xbox. The only half decent game of late that's PS2 only is PES3, and even so, that's one game. Uhh, what? No. Range of titles doesn't equal better. The Xbox I feel is a great starter console - the PS2 requires memory cards, multitaps and all this bollocks just to get the console fully equipped for gaming. Xbox has it all there from the off. Sports, that's a plural. The Xbox has Tiger Woods, Links, Top Spin (second only to PES3), FIFA, NFL, NHL, four of those are on LIVE. Can't think of any others, but there are loads. FIFA is a competant player nowadays, and not as shit as some may say. Again, the Xbox actually does have dance mats, all in a nice big warehouse somewhere in the UK, just no games as of yet (Dance Dance is coming sometime this year). But I'll let you off. But the Xbox does have the Music Mixer, which is a party game, and great fun for when drinking. How are they cheaper? In my experience, they're exactly the same price, and there's a wealth of Xbox titles (PGR, Max Payne, Munch etc) that can be had for less than a tenner. So there's no advantage or disadvantage between them. Vice City isn't a damn sight cheaper, it's still a full priced game (no cut as of yet), and the Double Pack is on both Xbox (improved a lot too) and PS2.
  19. From the charts, dated 27/12/03: 01 [02] Need For Speed: Underground 02 [01] Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun 03 [04] FIFA 2004 04 [03] The Simpsons: Hit & Run 05 [05] Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King 06 [08] The Sims: Bustin' Out 07 [06] True Crime: Streets Of LA 08 [07] Tony Hawk's Underground 09 [13] Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time 10 [14] Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne 11 [19] XIII 12 [11] Crash Nitro Kart 13 [09] Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup 14 [27] Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 15 [12] EyeToy: Play 16 [17] Total Club Manager 2004 17 [21] Project Gotham Racing 2 18 [ - ] Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack 19 [25] WWE Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain 20 [18] Championship Manager: Season 03/04 How is 9th not extremely good for such a title, that hasn't had a follow-up in what, 10 years? That's not including the PoP packs, and considering it's just behind Tony Hawk's and the EA crew, and ahead of Max Payne 2 which has had a massive ad boost, I'd say that's damn good.
  20. Ahh, it's hard, the wobbly bits get me (second level), how many levels are there? But it's good all the same.
  21. PoP has been selling extremely well in the UK (we sold out in GS, at £29.99), and the PoP PS2 packs have been going extremely well too. So I don't know what's going on here. And trusting a fansite like that? Yes, you deserve to be shot. Regardless whether it's cancelled or not. I'll get the Xbox version of PoP, and may pop (get it? ) for the PS2 BG&E for £19.99. Mmm.
  22. We are discussing a NEW emulator Einstein. I would never have guessed... But what is the point in testing the games I mentioned, if they already work perfectly on emulators passed? I think the one I use is UltraXLE, and works just fine. Yet it doesn't work now, or people are touting this new thing to be great because it just about runs Mario Kart, when it's be working fine for at least 6 months.
  23. What? Are most/all of you stupid? (And so I run for the popularity vote...) The emulator on my Xbox runs Goldeneye perfectly in single-player, Mario Kart 64 perfect in single and multi-player, Mario 64 perfectly, and Diddy Kong Racing perfectly in single and multiplayer too. Been doing this for many months (since I've had it chipped by Yod@). Duuhh.
