  1. Sadly opened it a few weeks ago to clean the fans as it was ticking a bit. It breaks the seal and would be rejected.
  2. Has anyone ever replaced the internal hard drive on an xbox one s with an SSD? And is there any point? My 2nd kid has one connected to my work monitor and its used primarily for fortnite, roblox & minecraft with an occasional dip into Forza 4 or the latest gamepass kids. The Forza 5 trailer has got the kids excited. Fine for the older one who plays on my X but I can see the pains of the younger come November. So I was thinking I could chuck a £50 SSD in there to at least help. But then again, just save the cash and put it towards a series S which might hit the £150 mark 2nd hand later in the year? or maybe even an Xmas pressie..
  3. MIKE! i dont want any more projects!
  4. As its only for occasional use I'm going for a PDP Face Off Deluxe Wireless controller with headphone jack. Realistically the kids only want me to play until one of their mates come online and then I get benched.
  5. No, only have my xbox headset which is bluetooth and dont want to faff with that / let the kids near it. I just want a wireless pad with headphone jack, i guess that's not available? Have to go wired i think?
  6. Thanks All, ive just realised there is no headphone jack in the pro - seconds before pulling the trigger! As in this setup, it'll be connected to a monitor to play so need audio out. So I can either buy a 3rd party one wired one that has a headphone Jack or just plug headphones into the console when docked as that works - just tested it I'll be sitting close to it but still a bit of a pain in the arse if i move about and end up pulling the console across the room
  7. Is the Switch Pro controller any use? Starting to play some Trios with the kids and I get landed with the Switch while they play on xbox. Its a bit shit using the normal switch joycons - or its simply shit - feels like it runs about 10FPS. was thinking of trying a controller. Should I buy a cheap compatible or the official?
  8. I really enjoyed the show. No nonsense talking, focused on games for this year and next. Plenty of Multiplayer games for me and my mates to try out and a few good looking indie and single player games lined up.
  9. Working now (wasn’t for me and the kids earlier)
  10. I didn’t! Was dying to use my slot for RE so went nuclear!
  11. I wish I hadn’t played it on casual. It’s too easy. I haven’t played one since RE1/2 in the PlayStation days and figured it would be a pain in the hole. It’s not, I’m loving it.
  12. Annoying bug last night on my Series X that it wouldn’t load any bloody games! As soon as the HDR logo popped up, it would quit to dash. Tried 4 games (didn’t try a non HDR game) and quit all QR games. Tried a reboot and a hold power 10 secs. Ended up resetting the console (keep settings and games) and it worked fine. Quite bloody annoying as first game time I had all weekend (tho the Xbox has been on and in use at weekend- kids playing fortnite / minecraft as normal)
  13. What’s the map for? My kids are on their first season of fortnite and have finished Neymar and mid level 60s so I guess don’t know what to do next. I’ve half heartedly said just keep doing quests but I think they’ve done a lot
  14. I've just tried a quick test on BF1 and it felt nicer with the TV at 1080p/120htz. well to be honest it wasnt a proper test all i did was change the settings mid game back to 4k/60 so i dont even know if it made a difference lol, it takes that long to load i cant be arsed changing!
  15. Following the EA announcement about 120 support, I’m wondering am I better to play in 1080p - as FPS boost option is available when I set the TV to that. if I set to 4K the options get greyed out
  16. I think so, they are still using One S's in the racks until they can make enough series X's
  17. Any sign of full list? I'm wondering if minecraft is on there as i know its paid for game. Nephew plays minecraft, roblox and fortnite so his mum could let his gold expire
  18. We've had some great late evenings playing this. I had dismissed this after the trailers and middling reviews, coming to it now when its been updated and it plays really well. Effortless co-op, spooky atmosphere and mental fights with big bastard robots.
  19. I’ve opted for a 2nd account on Kid B’s switch also, allowed him to connect to the Xbox/epic account ok and can see his battle pass etc. Couldn’t see an easy way to clear any cache on the switch to get it to re-run that setup screen, even after a full delete/download. No biggy it’s a simple solution that will do well.
  20. Connect button fails with the error above when you login with switch account, it tries to create an epic account, asking for user/name etc. I've just removed connected accounts from kid a's nintendo account created a new family member on switch launched fortnite connected account to his epic account went to browser and activated working! going to try kid b's but just delete any save info on the switch and see if i can use his proper nintendo account.
  21. Account originally created on xbox, then login on laptop to epic games using xbox credentials. Rest of account completed at that stage and I see the xbox connection Ok. Both xbox and epic games account shows same epic ID. the switch has a different ID. I wonder did they create some basic epic account when they played rocket leagues after christmas?
  22. yes, 2 separate Microsoft and Nintendo accounts. when i click on Connect on the page youve show me, it goes thru the whole progess until the end where it spits out the already associated error
  23. Need a bit of help sadly. Decided it was time to let the kids start playing fortnite as they've been well behaved in lockdown and some of their mates play it We setup on the xbox first, went online to epic and created the epic account and its 'connected' ok to xbox, then the bought the battle pass each. All good. Then downloaded it on the switch and I guess we didn't fully connect the accounts properly, we thought we did. So i guess they've had an headless epic account created based on their nintendo details. Kid A - we've went to epic website and tried to connect the nintendo account, get message 'sorry this nintendo account has already been associated with another epic games account' Kid B (separate switch) same error when i login to epic and try and associate. When i try and login to epic site with the nintendo credentials, it asks for details like name etc as if setting up account from scratch I see something about unlinking accounts on Nintendo website but also something 'ONCE YOUVE LINKED NINTENDO ACCOUNT YOU WILL NOT BE ABL TO LINK A DIFFERENT NINTENDO ACCOUNT' which is a bit full on scary. do i try and unlink / add? Any advice? All i can think of now is create a new nintendo account on the switch and try and add that via epic site - any digital purchases are done via me anyway. They just want their battlepass stuff to be there. I somehow managed to do it properly form my own xbox/nintendo account of course!!
