  1. Set Always Sprint to on. Never stop moving. Run and jump around everywhere like a hyperactive 3-year old. Don’t play it like a cover shooter. And most importantly, when you die, get back up and start running again.
  2. I think this was a lucky draw for us. Plymouth should have been 2 or 3 up at half-time. Our second-half was better, but if I’m honest I think the last-minute penalty was a bit soft and I’m not sure the draw was deserved. On the plus side, it was great to meet @filecore in the flesh, my first real-life mukker encounter!
  3. We were there too. After scraping a draw against Rotherham it was quite a disappointing game. Second half was more enjoyable. Despite having a goal disallowed for a dubious offside Lincoln never really looked like scoring in my opinion (which sounds ridiculous). Ipswich fans were loud I thought, they’ve obviously got good travelling support. it’s our first time as season ticket holders and we’re enjoying it immensely. Could definitely do with seeing a win against Plymouth, however unlikely that might be.

I also found the gunplay quite hard to start with, but now that I’ve got a few powers and upgrades and have got used to the controls a little better it’s working ok. I think on a controller gratuitous use of aim-down-sights is acceptable. My current fun thing to do is to collect all the gun turrets and bring them with me like a conveyer belt so I’ve always got cover wherever I go and sometimes barely need to do any shooting at all.
  5. I completely agree with your points on the pacing. I think the epilogue would have sat better if it was released later as a separate DLC (for free obvs).

    The Witness

The Witness is to this day the only game I have the Platinum on. I’ve got close with a couple of others but my time is more valuable than the grind. The Witness doesn’t require you to do all the trophies to get the Platinum, only to complete “The Challenge”. The beauty is, because of it’s impossible to cheat at this. You can only do it if you’ve properly learned all the systems the game has taught you. The game is a masterpiece in designing a language, teaching it to you, and then saying “show me”. And for that reason, irrespective of whatever Jonathan Blow says, or the subtext behind the game, it will always be special to me, because it’s about the journey.
  7. That’s a bit like saying your new Ferrari isn’t any faster than the old one.
  8. For your own sake, please please please do everything you can to avoid spoilers before you play. The story is a video game great in my opinion. I tried replaying this on iPad a few years back and found it a bit clunky and bland despite loving it on Xbox. I’m definitely up for the remake if it is more than just an upscale and polish.
  9. All fair points. My comment is really just about how poor England’s batting has been this summer.
  10. England don’t deserve to level the series by default. If the ECB had any integrity they would call this one off completely and give India the well-deserved series win.
  11. It’s the Blue Monday from the WW84 trailer!
  12. England getting their highest ever successful run chase after the batting summer they’ve had would certainly be a turn up for the books.
  13. Don’t forget that Phil Foden is out injured at the moment who was a starter in the first couple of Euro games so that’s one less person competing for that attacking slot. And no Sancho. I don’t see Mount or Sterling being ousted from the starting line up any time soon. For today obviously Lingard played well but I was impressed with Bellingham’s touch. I wonder how long before he is regularly in the starting line-up.
  14. Can’t be, that picture appears to have a working train system.
  15. I’d never played any before the collection came out. Irrespective of how they play, going through all three before 4 came out really made the emotional beats of the story hit harder for me. I know the story might not be why you play these games but I thought Nate and Elena’s journey was great. Lost Legacy is a perfectly paced love letter to the whole saga and is a wonderful way to see off the series.
  16. I originally thought the first few episodes of the second series were a bit mawkish but I now think the Ted and Nate storylines are putting a bit more bite in which has really helped bring it back to the standard of the first series for me.
  17. I read it last year for the first time in preparation for the film and loved it. I have posted my thoughts about that and the 1984 film already in this thread, I’ll have forgotten all that by the time the film actually comes out. Denis Villeneuve gave me Arrival and BR2049 so I have complete and utter faith that this is going to be brilliant, I just hope it does well enough to allow the second part to be made.
  18. Spoilers for a film series I don’t care about (honest guv).
  19. I’m sure I was made to see the first part of the third movie at the Cinema (Allegiant I think it was called) and it ended on a cliffhanger for the 4th part that never came. It was proper bobbins but there was some interesting imagery in there. My wife loved them all and was really disappointed they never made the last one.
  20. Seems to be gone now. I’ve been trying to get one for my son’s birthday for the last month or so and haven’t seen any even though there have been 2 or 3 PS5 drops in that time. I’m following all the stock checkers but it just seems quiet. Wonder if they’ve been hit by the same supply issues as everyone else?
  21. My wife (who knows nothing about gaming or youtubers) immediately identified Dan TDM just from having heard his voice a million times before. I thought this was enjoyable, with the closest touchstone for me being The Truman Show. I do think it will date incredibly quickly.
  22. Sorry for shameless self-quote. But, yeah......
  23. Looks like they are going for my plan, but just by getting the openers in and out first before the one-day specialists come in.
  24. I’m sure you’re right, but at this point it’s looking pretty academic.
  25. If England have any guts they should open with 2 of Bairstow, Butler and Ali and treat it like a one-day game. At least then if they do lose early wickets Burns and Sibley could come in and bore India into a draw. Obviously got to bowl them out first.
