Just feeling a bit maudlin about no E3 - I think my fondest memories of RLLMUK are the E3 threads, didn't really know anyone into games enough to watch E3 but religiously followed the threads. I just saw 2004 Nintendo being recommended and indeed Reggie is just.. it's amazing! So I thought I'd do this thread for people's, general reminiscences. I remember finding this video funny, a quite watchable 30 minute gif collection, how was this nearly a decade ago.. it both seems like yesterday but another time entirely in terms of the what the internet now is..? I have this memory of getting E3 trailers from someone on here on CD? So yeah, share?

How did PC gaming get to here? -
Thanks for everything Nathan! P.s. Gouging bastards! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EDGE-Magazine-345-Jun-20-FEEL-BETTER-Subscriber-Edition-Cover-Zelda-Mario/254579740719?hash=item3b4622902f:g:qAgAAOSw51xeocqf Would have liked a physical copy of this, seems to be sold out.

I remember thinking this was just about the coolest thing I ever had encountered in my life, on release.

Decent switch charging cables, I've always used my generic usb-c, but apparently not a good long time plan?

Tim Key seems incredibly underused in this. The "files not found" thing is lame, especially the second time around

Do violent, realistic video games ever make sense narratively?

It was that mission early on with the jail break - where his mate "needs to go and settle a score", so they both kill what , 50 people? And it's all played off as "oh you rascal, always dragging me into scrapes".. it's not proper writing. -

Amongst everything this put me off playing more than a couple of hours, I have no will to pick the disk back up. It's the same old "lol loadsa story" - but then kill 50 people in cold blood thing that gaming is weighed down by, which is made worse by the faux intellectualizing of what's going on. Does he have to kill 50 people every-time? It makes "no russian" seem clever. -
I need to stop playing computer games

I have my memory card, I might bloody get back into it! Aside (or maybe this is the answer) from wii+wavebird and original disk, is there a better version of the original MP out there?
