Yeah both this week's tables (Spiderman and Metallica) have Magnets, in Metallica it's in front of the electric chair and I guess the real one triggers on and off quickly to jiggle the ball about like it's being electrified, similar to Tales of the Arabian Nights. In Spiderman there's a super annoying one that just stalls the ball before you go to shoot it from the top flipper to throw you off. Plus one that holds your ball and if you can hit it off the magnet it starts multiball. There's an amazing on on Dracula that makes a ball appear to magically float across the table.

I was going to mention the Dracula one.  It's amazing.  Also, can't forget the original - Addams Family!

Wow, that’s a nice line up of pins,,,would love to try a real IJ table.

Ok back to business, I’ve got spiderman downloaded and working (although the colour dmd has gone weird and is like garish purples, shame as it’s one of the best coloured dmd’s)

Just to clarify, we are always doing a 3 ball game ? (This version has defaulted to 5, so will need to look up how to change it)

They are some good spider scores you have got there though👍

Yes always 3 balls.  Weird that yours defaults to 5.  You can always open the options to the table with the End button I believe when your in game to access the options and you will be able to change languages, number of balls etc there.

I actually spent the most time on IJ, Addams Family and Twilight Zone.  And NBA Fastbreak was pretty sweet too.

It actually makes you appreciate virutal pinball tables, as you have them available to you all at once :)

  3. Managed to find this awesome place in Brussels and spent a few hours with my kids.  The great thing about virtual pinball is that it teaches you the rules and you can actually play pretty decent when you play on a real table.

Right, this is frustrating. I have managed to get the tables to display landscape, but my DMD is now showing as the default one, not my updated Freezy ones. What would I be doing wrong herE?

Not really sure what you mean.  Send a pic, but you should be able to right click on the DMD and save position wherever you want.

Here's what I managed to do with the two new tables so far.  Nothing great, but a start nonetheless.

  5. Think I'm done with Tales from the Crypt.  I can't even get a high score registered coz I can't get over 250M.  Best I've gotten is like 220M I think.

Anyways, I'm going on holiday end of next week so I'm going to be out for a while.  But until then I'm going to be playing Spiderman and Metallica so hopefully you guys will join in for some high scores.

Nah not DIY, I had a 24” job I bought from eBay, enjoyed it and wanted to go to the next level and found a guy on a pinball forum, who did pinball repairs & restorations and would do a vpin rather than scrap an original cab. He had one that was nearing completion, so traded my 24” against it, which he then sold on.

Its a real cab, with real pinball legs, backbox & plunger and I’m pretty happy with it. It also has headphone and USB port on the front ,which comes in handy and an accelerometer for nudge functionality p. Doesn’t have no solenoids or feedback though, which is a bit of a shame.

All in, I’m happy with it and really enjoyed it over the last couple of years.

Playing on a cab is amazing I agree.  One thing I wish I asked for was a headphone jack on the front.  But I do have tactile feedback and it's incredible - feels like the ball is really rolling around the table.  I didn't get solenoids either, as I think my wife would've divorced me if I did :)

The goalie is such a simple mechanic but oh man, there are games when you cannot get a shot in the goal. Got 3.4bn despite failing to beat Germany in the finals, ah man.

Still loving this table, I’d actually consider buying a real one if only it wasn’t a bloody football theme 😑 maybe another Popadiuk table will scratch that itch.

    I'm getting close...

  8. I just started playing again last night, but for some reason have been drawn to learning Tales from the Crypt so focused on that.

Gonna give World Cup a proper go tonight - wasn't really feeling Black Knight too much.

  9. Hey @Cheeko.  Really haven't had time to jump on my cab in a while so I haven't even touched BK I'm afraid.  World Cup Soccer is amazing, as is Simpsons.  Will check tonight whether I have a newer version of WCS.

  10. Haven't had a chance to Black Knight yet, but will do this weekend.

Just wanted to post this epicness, especially as we've already played the VPW version of LOTR (probably in my top 5 games of all time):

I was hoping to get an AtGames Legends Pinball machine at some point, however space looks to be an issue even though I got rid of my 4 player MAME cabinet.

However it looks like AtGames may have a solution (skip to the 3 min mark)…

If this comes to the UK I’ll be all over it!

I would go for this instead personally - https://gameroomsolutions.com/shop/24-table-top-virtual-pinball-cabinet/

It wasn't ghostbusters but I was watching a stream of another game that does that reverse the flippers gimmick and the dude just crossed his arms and kept racking up the jackpots. Was impressive

Voodoo's Carnival - great original table which I think we should take on at some point.  Was that it?

  13. I have no real clue what I'm doing on this table, but I'm trying my best just to shoot the lit arrows and Slimer whenever he starts up.  Even made it to the Stay Puft Marshmallow mode but I'm not sure if that's the wizard mode.  Got a pretty decent score but for some reason when I was hitting the right flipper to save my initials it just entered AB on its own :S

The main thing I can't stand on this table is the fact that the flippers are so far apart, so draining straight down the middle is a natural occurrence for me.

@CheekoIf you found a decent tutorial please share it on here.

I was about to post a picture of 127m to get us started, then this happened.

If you fire the ball off the middle point of the right flipper it goes up the top ramp. Apparently if you’re consistent with this you just get multiball after multiball and super jackpots, I think my super jackpots were 72m each by the end. Absolute chaos.

Holy smokes!!!  Need to get on this, but haven't had the time and won't have time till tomorrow.  That's a decent score for sure!  nice one.

@Shaky burndid you sort it out?  Otherwise will have to share the gb_100 rom with you whenever I can get to it.

The pc inside my cabinet doesn’t have wifi and i can’t get Ethernet to it, so when adding tables, I’ve used a laptop to download them onto a usb drive and then plug that into my cabinet and move them across. I am a bit of a muppet where anything  technical is concerned, so have kept away from messing with the software too much, in case I completely f*** it up😨

Is there an idiots guide anywhere, to do the update?  And it doesn’t adversely affect any of your 10.6 tables etc?

I transfer everything over USB to my cab as well.

    Download this - https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/download/v10.7.0-367-e242d7c/Main.Download.Minimal.-.VPinballX7_Minimal.zip

And then overwrite all the files into your Visual Pinball folder.  Create backups of all your existing files if you're worried.  It's very hard to mess it up don't worry.
