  1. Whtewater and Whirlwind are two of my favourite tables of all time.  Won't be able to partake this week or next week as I'm travelling but will hopefully catch up when I'm back.

Did no one else take on GnR or Harry Potter?

  2. Nothing amazing, but something to shoot for and surpass at the very least:

    CURRENT SCORES (Harry Potter)

Sorry all, I suck at the moment. My vision is being a right prick. Will get the HP table details setup tomorrow.

Also going to change the format a bit. Rather than just a week per table I am going to have them run forever so anyone can submit a score to any table. I will just mark launch week scores on the post.

That sucks man.  Sorry to hear that.

I am travelling next week for around 10 days so will be out for a bit, but I'll try to catch up when I'm back.

I noticed Harry Potter and Stranger things are just zip files with no .vpx table file, any tips how to launch these?

There are definitely vpx files included.

I was super excited to see @Omizzay properly back at it and then I got struck down by Covid. Was feeling a bit better yesterday and then crappy again today so back to just watching footage of pinball tournament rounds :)

I’d like to freshen up the table though so will check that list.

Hopefully a speedy recovery for you mate.  And it looks like you will have another week to try and catch up on GnR :D  I haven't had a chance to change the roms on JR yet so will end up doing that tomorrow and try to put up a semi-decent score for you to beat.

But yeah, I recommend you check out the originals I linked - some amazing tables with serious work put into them.

And if you want to kill some time watching pinball, check out the new Weird Al table reveal by P3 Multimorphic - looks sick https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1430868216

  6. I just bought an Ender 3 S1 but still haven't received it yet.  The main reason I got this version is because of the simplified setup process as well as the self-leveling and (from what I can tell through watching some reviews) better quality prints.

Is there somewhere where I can get really nice detailed STLfiles for free, or do I have to join these Patreon groups?  I know that Thingiverse, Cults3D and MyMiniFactory sites have great free STL files, but most are pretty basic and I'm looking for more detailed figures along these lines:

Going to run both these tables for an extra week. Unless any issues with it from anyone?

Can we add another table for those that have had their fill of JP and GnR?

I was thinking to do the best original tables next:

    - Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire: https://mega.nz/file/XM0UGRIJ#ryzH-w2E321ww3SqJFTF_VMZbr-ESmGdOxC-rsXwTIs

    - Wrath of Olympus: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=16457

    - Stranger Things: https://mega.nz/file/6UEnSQyC#Wm57VL2YfCzi2Sr3bVEUBIc4KGwThQX3fVInnuhj8jM

    - Pokemon: https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/7696-jps-pokemon-fraesh-mod/

    - Friday 13th: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=16344

Try these our and let me know your thoughts.  They are all really fun and could be mistaken for being proper recreations of the real thing.  Harry Potter and Stranger Things being my favourite of the lot.

Hope your eyes are better @bradigor.

It might be the specific JP table versions, will try the others. It’s a shame as the CHAOS multiball seems to be what sets it off and that’s the main mode you’re after for points.

I changed the script, but it still messes up on Chaos multiball after you drain.  I had a 300M first ball too but then just got stuck and had to exit out. 😡

Just as heads up there seems to be an error with this table, at the end of a multiball I’ve had a few instances where I’ve got no balls in the playfield and there’s nothing I can do to proceed. Even if I tilt it won’t put another ball back in the launcher.

I’ve seen a few others talking about it on the vp  forums and this is apparently the fix so I’ll try it and report back, seems one of the kickers is trying to launch in the wrong direction.

In the table script I think line 566 should be:  vuk.kick 90,60,1.5

I had that with the CHAOS multiball.  Did the change in the script fix it?  And is it for Siggi or Bigus table?

  10. Having put a couple of games on it, I now like Jurassic Park quite a bit - never really gave it too much time before.  So I'm actually looking forward to this week.

I don't usually like the physics of Bigus tables too much.  For JP, the best two versions are Siggi's Mod (which changes the playfield to more cartoony graphics, and the 1.03 version of the table.  Strangely, they're not available on either VPF or VPU.

I'll take them off my machine and share them with you guys and then we can decide which version to go with.

I saw on that page they are asking for people to take a look at tables that haven’t been done yet, I’d like to contribute something to the community so had a look into how to do those colorised dmd designs. Nope, absolute nightmare :D so many forum threads of people trying it, it’s like setting up vpx x5 levels of nonsense. Painful.

Yeah, I really wanted to contribute something back as well.  Had a look at Deadflip's how to create a VPX table and gave up after about 2 days of trying to create an original Wu-Tang table.

  12. I'm not a big fan of Jurassic Park and there are loads of better tables IMO, but honestly I'm not fussed man.  Just happy others have caught the pinball bug.  Thought I was alone for a long while :D
