  1. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/meta-acquires-camouflaj-armature-studio-and-twisted-pixel And as a "bonus": https://devforum.roblox.com/t/welcoming-byfron-to-roblox/2018233 Apex Legends recently dropped Byfron's Hyperion anti-cheat software, so it now seems that was done because of this acquisition. Don't know what's happening to Fortnite and Overwatch 2, as those are also use Hyperion.
  2. I already have the 512GB Deck; I ordered a Dock. For me the Deck is my "dedicated gaming PC", mainly there to unlock the hundreds of games I (somehow) gathered on Steam and to have yet another portable version of Super Metroid with proper buttons/triggers available. The Dock is just icing on the cake.
  3. https://store.playstation.com/nl-nl/product/EP4415-CUSA00510_00-SHOOTERULTIMATE0 I mean, by all means, get it on Deck, but it's right there?
  4. Steam Dock has been sent! Should come in this week. Will be using it to plaster killer7 all over my tv.
  5. Both are fine; SD cards work very well for storage. Top one has some anti-glare coating on the screen though.
  6. Alyx would make sense if that means Sony would be porting their own PSVR2 titles to Index et al, just like they're doing with PS4/5 titles at the moment. VR is too small a market currently, so adding a couple of more users/games on both sides would be peachy for all.
  7. A blight upon fandom.
  8. This. Obviously. Still, I really hope they will leave the combat alone. FW’s combat was far less enjoyable to me than ZD’s.

    Disco Elysium

Disco Elysium 2: Electric Boogaloo is right there.
  10. So yeah. I'm officially not rubbish at the game any more as I just smashed through AIVIOLA's multistage Clod-infested fight. It's great, though I do think the game wants to mix things up just a tad too much at times. A few more vanilla explore and defeat sequences would've been welcome.

Oh, that is... not so good.
  12. Yes and no. You do lose a bit of the blank-canvas-ness of the original titles, only for it to replaced by Shinchan's puns and butt-only alien behavior. Not without its charms though! Definitely worth a look if you want to have an easily accessible option while you wait for the fan-translation to drop. Its summery cicada vibe is on point.
  13. I've only used it during the tutorial bit and promptly forgot about it. I'll see if I can make it work elsewhere.
  14. Ahw, that's a shame. Especially when that could've worked great had they projected it angled against the UI/vockpit view layer.
  15. "ARISE!" Gave this another spin after watching Brando's vid. My previous issues with the game were definitely me playing WAY TO DEFENSIVE. For instance, go aggressive and Vic Viper's a piece of cake. Play defensive and you'll be floating around for half an hour getting wrecked by Ripples. Looking forward to the AIVIOLA fight now. Regardless, the PS4 MARS edition looks amazing (this is PS2's Wind Waker, if anything) and the soundtrack is still superb. Just a shame the cutscenes are awkwardly upscaled for HD. Might even attempt the VR mode...
  16. Fair enough. It definitely has that filler energy. One note about the demo in that respect though: the tutorial seems to be tacked on, as the actual game that starts afterwards kind of seems to act like the tutorial never happened? That second part was a lot better as well.
  17. Apparently no topic yet (unless search is failing once more), but there's a demo for this on the PlayStation Store: https://store.playstation.com/en-uk/concept/10004428/ A prequel to the original Valkyrie Profile, this - in my mind - seems to pull an Automata: what if we took a dormant IP and approached it from a different action-RPG angle? Although in this case, that means getting rid of all the turn-based RPG battles. Playing through the demo, I do feel this very comfortably snapping into the Automata-shaped hole that Replicant couldn't fill. It's been ages since I've touched Profile, so I'm also not as uncomfortable with the changes. One thing I kind of dislike is that it does use Square Enix' "Stagger Battle System" again. Still it plays well, even if it's a bit mindless. Will have this on the playlist before long. Any other impressions?
  18. Just leave it charging for an hour or so. It’ll spring back to life. As for the click, it was more of a soft inaudible click for me.
  19. https://blog.playstation.com/2022/09/07/new-ps5-system-software-update-is-out-globally-today/ Folders are now implemented in the latest firmware and in typical Sony fashion, you can only select games, create a list with it and delete it. That's it. You want to reorder the games within the list? In this economy?
