  1. I'd love to see a street fighter game with full hires graphics, but then just think of all those sprites poor Capcom wouldn't be able to reuse from the early 90's...
  2. Thats been out for months hasn't it? it was £19.99 in game last week and is meant to be really shit.
  3. emulation...though playing on the keyboard could be a bit shit
  4. Need For Speed Underground is alright and the graphics are proper 3D Mario Kart is the obvious choice though.
  5. Yeah but he really just wanted to benchmark not play it. There is some AI after the first Zombie and there is a patched version of the beta that seems to be far more stable, the main compatability problem was with Nvidia graphics cards and the patched beta includes the later drivers required by program.
  6. Just download the beta and try that, it'll give you some idea how well the game runs on your PC even if it is fairly early code, the final version should be a bit more optimised too.
  7. If anything does get started I'll pitch in with a bit of work if I'm wanted! I'm a reasonable C/C++ programmer comfortable with both the DX and GL API's + I can do some ok 3d modelling in Milkshape (well ok for 'programmer art' ). I'm actually working on a little game at the moment I was thinking about running a little forum challenge with...stay tuned for the hype machine!
  8. I played the Amiga version when I was a kid (I believe it's the same game as the Nes version) and it was the first game I ever finished!!!
  9. It is out, I saw it in Game earlier today, tempted...
  10. So there's only licence tests? Is there any races at all and whats the 'making of' like, worth a watch. From what I've been reading from GT4's E3 coverage the feel of the game has changed quite a lot since prologue.
  11. I have a copy preordered at Game but not sure if I'm going to pick it up next week or not yet - I need convicing or otherwise!. So who's played it, whats it like and is it worth the asking price?
  12. Last time I said something along those lines in a PGR2 thread I got called a nasty name and no one believed me
  13. But from the screenshots it looks like it's going to offer simultaneous multiplayer as opposed to the N64/GC's turn based nature. So I'm assuming you'll be able to wander round other peoples towns over the WiFi connection which would be pretty cool to be honest.
  14. Yeah I just had a look at the screenshots cheers, the site with free trailers posted in another thread has a folder ready for the game's video so I was wondering of it was available anywhere else. I humbly apologise for the typo
  15. I know the game's not that popular round here but anybody know if there's been any video's of the the sequel (Black Monday) shown yet? I just started playing the orgional a night or so ago and despite it being quite irritating in places I actually quite like it, though maybe I'm just still in awe of the scale of the thing! Anybody else actually care about the sequel? Edit: Corrected the game's name from "Blank" to "Black"
  16. Thats what I was thinking when I watched the conference!
  17. The guy said that Metroid DS will also be playable tomorrow. And where the fuck was Mario128?! (I'm too lazy too read through 40 odd previous pages so feel free to take the Delorean out of the garage)
  18. I was thinking he was going to announce his resignation when he started to talk like that! (Cheers Spong ) Zelda looked good though, not just the shift in graphical style but the more mature content seemed to make the game look far more 'epic'.
  19. There seemed to be plenty of copies in HMV, Dundee yesterday though I got an import copy during the drought anyway.
  20. I remember a month or so ago when a mate of mine (Freeman on the forum) got his e-card reader through the post. He took it out of the package pulled out his Gameboy and then realised it didn't fit the SP! To be honest from what I've seen they're not really worth owning, just seemed to be a cash generating scheme for Nintendo and they don't offer any real gameplay prospects or enhancements. Most of the Nes games will be available on Cart soon or can be downloaded from Animal Crossing anyway without the hassle of scanning loads of cards in.
  21. FFVII Mixed cuteness and 'cool' pretty well and is the the best FF in my opinion. I loved the whole mix of using realistic models and SD one's in different situations throughout the game (though it was probably done for technical reasons rather than artistic).
  22. Just making sure that the forumite's use their grey matter once in a while.
