There was a Dutchman on your throne once, you know.

Surely that should be: Koppensneller: verlossing - vijf

Power maybe, but the xbox will have a more workable online component and customizable soundtracks. So if you have the choice I would go for the xbox version.

Star Wars Dvd Trilogy Clean-up Shots...
taiAtari replied to Old Dear's Menu's topic in Film, TV & Radio
Some of the scenes in Star Wars were put on film as a mirror image. There are shots were decorations, damage etc switch from left to right and vice versa. I guess this is an attempt to restore such continuity errors. -
I have started playing this again. It's very weird, no longer using my boomslang, having a different keyboard and not having my mousespeed set correctly etc. Did crap first round, managed to take the lead and get a 13-1 score the next simply by playing very offensively (people are playing very carefully these days). My aim is all over the place but I noticed some synapses firing up again after a very long time. I started when the colt still had a scope (I think it was beta 5) and stopped at 1.4 when me, my team and server stopped out of boredom with the game. It was fun to play it again though, but you really need some people you know to shoot and play with to really enjoy it. I will see if I can get my old mate to play it again. He started with the first beta release and used to carry the awp offensively while I protected him from ambushes with an assualt rifle or smg. Worked like a charm.

The Most Underated Cartoon Character?
taiAtari replied to Scottish Psycho's topic in Film, TV & Radio
I loved him too, he was just so nice. -
Thank god, I was worried you were gone because I inadvertently 'nudged' you for 10 seconds or so in that corner I don't even have the skill to do that on purpose. Had a lot of fun, despite being even worse than I feared.

You can , but you can only have your account associated with one xbox at a time. So when you're home you will have to retrieve your details again.. Shouldn't be a problem really. Oh and put me down too please 'gamertag=Atarian', has been ages since I raced on PGR2.

After a years absence I think I might be ready for some cs again. Where is the cfg file when you use steam? I hope I still have my old one somewhere.. I used to be pretty good, started with beta 5, but I'm probably terrible now. anyway, please add me: noordho|at|hotmail.com

That might be very cool. I got the distinct impression he has played a lot of Soul Calibur from Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Space Invader mosaic graffiti
taiAtari replied to pretentious_helvetica's topic in Retro & Arcade Gaming
He seems to encourage people to make them theirselves, but the ones in Manchester are his. There is a complete map with every location here and some more details about the work in Manchester here. The fact that it is very subtle makes it great. I also like that you sometimes spot them on vacation. -

Sometimes I wonder if my posts are invisible. A (quite famous for doing this) French artist makes those invaders. Every design is different (although inspired by the game) and on his site (link in my previous post) you can view city maps from all over the world with every invader he made. It is pretty cool and has nothing to do with marketing or Namco. -

A French artist makes them, he does this all over the world and no invader is the same. You can find his website here. There are quite a few invaders over here in Rotterdam too. -
I'm sure that's mainly in the dressing, as with any salad.

Spine card on Japanese DC games
taiAtari replied to Salsa Party Animal's topic in Retro & Arcade Gaming
Weird as it sounds I actually have a few DC games on the shelf like that. Because it's a lot easier to use selfbooting, 60 hz enabled, cdr-copies of my Japanese and American imports...(not as relevant if you own an NTSC DC ofcourse). -

Didn't someone (Kevin Smith?) do this to The Phantom Menace. I recall there being a Phantom Edit about, that cut a lot of the whiney kid stuff and JarJar.
