  1. Early access ready for everyone tomorrow from 10:30am:

I'm fucking hype! Media Molecule are limiting the number of people who can get it (EDIT: on a first-come, first-served basis) so they can manage the infrastructure better. £25.

  2. I got my VR a few weeks back during the sales. Astro Bot is crazy good! I am such a dork playing it, it's so impressive. One little disappointment is the music - it's really good, but as there's only so many tracks, some levels have tunes which don't really fit. But still very lovely.

I've also been on Star Trek: Bridge Crew with friends. We all barely know anything about the show (sorry) but it's a blast. Not likely to cause sickness since you're just sat in chairs. You don't even need VR and it's crossplay with PC as well! Buy.

I like Iain Dowie but he does talk shit. Sturridge has been nothing but shit tonight, the entire team were playing at about 1/3 speed. The only bright spark before the changes was Keita.

I didn't think Studge was completely awful. He played some really decent inventive balls. Shades of his old form but still some distance away.

  4. I'm really tempted to jump in but I'm absolutely garbage with motion sickness. Should I just leave it? I really wanna play Astro Bot!

Edit: Fully Aspel's write-up scares me a little

A few additional details from Toby:

Aw jeez, that's complicated. It's like he's got half an idea of what he wants, but wants to create everything in his vision. I wonder if he'll end up knocking out extremely short chapters, if any more.

Having not watched a single episode yet I reserve the right to change my opinion on this, but it's not exactly like The Simpsons and Futurama had stellar first seasons is it? I guess times are different now with so much choice available but imagine giving up on either of those shows because of a few dodgy season 1 episodes. Or look at Parks and Rec for a non Groening example.

Just checked the writing cast out of curiosity and there's no reason why this shouldn't be good. Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein showran Seasons 7 and 8 of The Simpsons. David X Cohen co-created Futurama and worked on classic Simpsons. There's definitely talent there besides Groening.

Can't wait to inevitably come back in a few hours and declare it shit.

There's an familiarity about Disenchanted, but nearly every joke I saw had been done in the Simpsons or Futurama before. It immediately felt stale for me.

At least BT sport got an even balanced team to tak about things with gerrard and macmanaman - what a surprise gerrard thinking vvd was fouled and graciously admitting a wrong offside call once ref not given it.

Professional scousers, eh? What rascals. ;)

  8. What happened with Zlatan with Man Utd in the end, anyway? I thought his injuries meant he was done and dusted, then he scores that stupid thing 5 minutes into his LA Galaxy debut! Did he even play in the Prem this season?

  9. Dunno where this would fit, but the new Andrew WK album... is not good. It's really disappointing, to be honest.

The album struggles to generate many catchy hooks or riffs. The life advice stuff is as shallow as his fence-sitting columns, there's nearly nothing there. There are 3 solid tracks, as the opener, the next track, and Total Freedom.

Close Calls is one of my favourite albums. It is complex, layered, concise, provoking and fun. We're Not Alone barely hits these heights and plods along. The tracks are not tightly packed like previous efforts and are often poorly derivative of other artists.

    A shame out of 10.

The new BtBaM is great though!

    Hey @smithstock didn't @Kelthink win as I didn't beat him by 5 strokes?

I'd like to suggest we stop using custom clubs going forward? Only use the standard ones we've leveled up through playing. The gold clubs can throw the balance off a bit, but it's a fair win for Kelthink as club type allowed was "any".

I'm still confused but I'm fine saying you won!

Sorry I was dead dry last night, I kept thinking I'd put you off or something. I might just treat it like a podcast or commentary or something next time.

    What?

Poor attempt at a joke! About the very sudden trend of children appearing at various games holding signs asking for players' shirts, which lead me to think there would be imposters, like the opposite of a child sitting on the shoulders of another child wearing a long coat in an attempt to impersonate an adult.

  12. That was a fab result. Began the day thinking we would have lost it, so to nick it at the end was crazy.

I've no issue with rotation, because it's exactly what we need. Any team we put out would have struggled today. Just...why is Solanke starting? He's adding nothing. Ings would work so much better, Solanke is a substitute at the moment. I can't remember much that he did today.

  13. I'm not impressed with Klopp's tactics. And I haven't been for a while. They're the same every week. Great when they work, but otherwise predictable. 4-3-3, same players, yeah.

On the bench we have Sturbridge, Solanke, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Robinson, Grujic, Ings and will soon have Lallana. Why not be starting with any of them? They might not be better but could spice things up. Different formations as well.

I'd kill if we rotated like we did under Rafa. And made far more tactical substitutions before 75 minutes.
