After a shaky start, I'm about evens on wins. Made Ruler+1 for the first time. No 100x matches, just one 10x so far. Edit: yeah, now I'm done, the recent games stats show 23 wins to 24 defeats, all Splatfest matches.

Yeah, I like the level - the shoulders of the pyramid allow for some sneaky 'special coming at you over the ridge' play. A long range heavy weapon can also dominate one side, but you don't have much protection when flanked. Just got a gold badge, for 100 tri-colour defence wins (I think defence; either way I have both golds now). Also just got a four-splat. It must be possible to get a six-splat in tri-colour, when attacking, right? Anyone managed that?

I play enough to stay OK-ish, but I'm about minus 600 points in S Rank at the moment. Some of that is disconnect, but it's mostly because I'm a bit rubbish, really.

Mate had an Apple II, and I first played Tetris on a green-screen IBM XT. At work. Earliest 'home' computer games I played were on a CBM Pet, the business PC of choice before IBM weighed in. Also played games on a TRS-80, Ti 99/4A, Dragon 32, ZX80, ZX81, Amstrad CPC (and PCW), and Apple Mac.

Yup, I thought it was you, looking around the lobby later. Splatana has good range - and high velocity shots, too. I've seriously considered it as another option. I've basically swapped back to Aerospray and Sploosh-o-Matic for this fest, but I feel I should mix it up a bit more. I have a Splattershot Pro that's almost at 5*, but after that I think I'll try mastering a weapon class other than shooter. I've been playing the same basic two for all three iterations now.

Just had a teammate disconnect early on, but we still won 59 to 34% with 3 players. Doesn't happen too often these days, teams are usually too good to lose with a full person advantage. Plus a 10x win at last - and I saw someone else in here got a 10x for Team Wisdom straight after. Good show, everyone.

Hah, I went out to do some gardening after that one. I'm running 11 defeats to 9 wins so far.

Yeah, I think that was me for sure; I recall playing against '8 year [old] kid'. That was a terrible game - I usually get gold for best splatter and there I got only 1 splat to 8.

I love the light in the lobby area in the week leading up to the splat fest. But I'm getting my arse handed to me in Turf War today, in the SplatFest. Some of these teams are well-versed in defending turf once they have the advantage.
