  1. If one could scientifically distil the question "does voting with your wallet work" to one answer I bet the answer would be no.
  2. Strictly personal and not in any way an attack towards you @thesnwmn, I vote with my wallet in this/these cases. Activision/Blizzard sees no money from me (and I'm sure I'll love Diablo 4), Ubi sees no money from me. I can not with a good conscience be repulsed by their behaviour yet buy their products.
  3. It's one of those "daily log in bonus" games (or weekly, can't remember. There's some sort of login bonus thingie right). Also Seasons which I do not like, it makes me feel like I need to play to get that "I completed it" rush. Maybe that says more about me than about the game. For what it is worth, I loved my dozens of hours with it. Cracking game.
  4. I had a blast but as per usual gave up when it felt like a daily/weekly/season job and the difficulty reached a point where you kind of needed to know what you were doing. I went for engineer, it feels like a support class with its ability to create platforms to reach resources/safe places. Also, turrets.
  5. All I know for sure is Sony definitely has bigger plans. They bought Nixxes Software in 2021 whom are famous for their excellent PC ports of the latest Tomb Raider trilogy and very recently delivered Spider-man PC port. More great PC ports incoming is a 100% guarantee. Nixxes is just one studio though. As good as they are, I doubt they can handle several high profile projects at once. Who was responsible for the Horizon port, was that Guerrilla themselves?
  6. I'm also a Peeping Tom/Curious George in games such as The Last of Us or that zombie game from Telltale, wondering what is happening at the end of that alleyway that's blocked off, who/what is behind those windows on the seventh storey of an apartment complex, what neat little story this vacated house has to tell and what other survivors are doing at the exact same time. Surely I can't be the only one alive.
  7. Difficult to grab a good screen capture of this but functional cities in racing games that feel lived in. Any of the Ridge Racer games is a great example where the cites/environments feel like they came first and the race just takes place there and not the other way around. During any non-racing day I picture holiday traffic heading to the beach, arriving at the airport. Local people driving to their job at the harbour, food delivery trucks on overpasses going who-knows-where. White road markers on the tarmac, blocked off side streets that are not made for racing etc.
  8. Hmm, I can see where you come from. I honestly can't remember Ellie's proverbial breaking point apart from that scene but as you pointed out Ellie's rather cool during the whole snowball fight etc. That said, I don't think she ever had vengeance not on her mind.
  9. I think you give Ellie's mental health too much credit. Where in TLOU2 does she come across like rational and sane? She's hellbent on revenge. There's moments where she's taken back a little by what she did - killing an unbeknownst to her pregnant woman - but before you know it she's back on that rollercoaster to hell.

    (PS5/PC) Forspoken

She said the silent part out loud.
  11. Since YT is a spoiler minefield, find below a spoiler free Top 8.
  12. I am disappointed nobody built you a freighter base in the form on a penis 🙁
  13. 😟 That's unusual. Not sure how Twitch works, did you by chance follow someone on Twitch and gave them access to your freighter?
  14. With 350 million credits burning a hole in my pocket I need something to spend it on. Already have a fleet of starship (yet I only use one). Am hoping for a proper good S-tier Freighter, no luck so far.
  15. Tis funny because it'd be true. I am completely out. There have been moments where I was tempted to reinstall OW thinking "it can't be as bad (for me) as I remember" before realising I've been down this road before. Several times. Great game that infuriates me.
  16. My hometown lacked a proper gaming store, all we had was equivalents to Smyths. Good for most generic gaming stuff, not very fun though. A nearby town had a proper gaming store so almost every other weekend I was there just to be there. Got to know the main clerk there who after several years started his own independent gaming store and that while time was a blast. He started aiming for the import crowd, the crowd who would not shy away from paying like 300 quid some rare version of a Japanese bullet heel nobody had ever even heard of. The Netherlands was and is not very credit card friendly so purchasing stuff from for example NCSX was a hassle. So his store became a central hub for many of surrounding cities, like a gathering ground for gamers. Great fun. Many years later he changed his approach to cater much more to the generic crowd while providing accurate information instead of the "64 bit is better than 32 bit" nonsense you'd hear else where. The store is still going strong. Another story, my hometown eventually got its own gaming store. It was right across from my barber so while the store was under construction I met the owner. Long story short: he was going to do it completely different from everybody else. To save storage space he'd not stock games, instead he'd place an order for a customer who could pick up the order two days later. The store did not last long. edit: maybe unrelated, I'll never go to GameStop again. Too many lame experiences: - very talkative clerk (not shaming. I just wanted to buy a game instead of being stuck in a monologue by someone clearly on the spectrum). - question after question about pre ordering or extending the warranty or wanting advice. Just let me buy this so I can go home.
  17. Hmm, can't remember that happening to me. Maybe I am misremembering 🤷‍♂️
  18. Doubt it. As far as I know you have to manually set a base to "modifiable by everybody" to allow for that, and even then I am not sure a freighter is technically a base. Do know that all objectives are active all the time, which is why it's a very good thing to read then all and keep chipping away at em. Kill pirates, expand your squadron, expand your fleet, scan flora etc. Usually the moest bothersome one is the "collect storm crystal" so if you ever encounter them, pick em up.
  19. Anyone wanna team up to do the “visit each other’s freighter” expedition step? Tis by far the hardest one 😒
  20. Saw this on Reddit. https://platprices.com/psplus/premium/ Fast search, browse by Tier. No platform filter yet.
  21. Wasn't LN part of PS+ before? I have it in my library, so does my friend and I am certain he'd never buy a game like that.

I've not seen the Doom Eternal one, but the Doom 2016 speedrun was rather poor. I'm sure there's skill involved but being out of bounds 75% of the run balancing on pixels to avoid a soft-lock does not make for exciting viewing.
  23. Finished it, had a fantastic time with it. Laser focused, nothing outstays its welcome.
  24. Haven't finished yet but I doubt there's NG+. It's very linear story driven with no customisation to anything. Only reason I could think of is replaying for achievements if that's your thing. edit: also, it's very much a game like Gone Home, Edith Finch etc. Short, sweet, interactive and charming. There's an actual game to play that must click with you. I can fully understand people not clicking with this at all as it is rather bare bones.
