  1. Put a few hours in after I got back from midnight launch. Very impressed so far. I feared the frame rate wouldn't be able to cope but it's holding up well so far. I had too move closer to the TV at one point to read the text, doing so made me realise there is a sizeable amount of jaggies though. Fave character so far is Lamar, he's hillarious! Did a few quests then beat an old lady to death, stole a lovely red Infernus and drove down to the pier and rode on the Ferris wheel while the sun came up over the skyscrapers. Glorious. PS: while on foot L3 (PS3) activates sneak mode. I missed this the first time around Put a few hours in after I got back from midnight launch. Very impressed so far. 5. Crew request sent: Jim_835 on PSN I might have to unplug my wifi this weekend, the temptation to read reviews and check out vids is too much. I dont want this spoiled at all.
  6. Cheers syngar, left you some perfect pears and cash, had to make a quick exit as late for work! Animal crossing comes first
  7. There's a queue of bell hungry people knocking at the gates of Dunwich!
  8. I'm again up to date with front page list, except the last 10 or so. Haven't had a code back from 30 or so though and friend list full. Add me if you haven't already 4785-4889-4937 Had a visit from Sahara today who remodelled my house. Not sure i like what she did though!
  9. Really enjoyed my first trip to the island last night. The songs tortimer sings are brilliant and he fitted in an inappropriate comment about CheekyLee being 'buff' Planted my bananas on the beach on return and sold 2 giant Isopods, which I found diving, for 9900 each. Can't wait to go again today!
  10. I won with 81 points, 2nd and 3rd were in the 50's Gold trophy on display and butterfly wallpaper for my house when Nooky finishes it tomorrow Also if you didn't know, you can press up on dpad when in the museum and then left and right to rotate camera to get a better pic of your specimens. Not playing at the mo, so not sure if this is true in the 'field'

    The Last Of Us

Fair point Radish about next gen gfx, those screenies do indeed look lovely. I guess the streams I saw didnt look as good as that. Not having stuttering or any frame rate probs though like others have mentioned. Usually a poor frame rate spoils a game for me, but this seems silky smooth so far. Mine came in an email last night from Simply
  12. Had a quick go this morning, got stung by bees twice and filled my bags with shells and pears. Shop isn't open until 9am so can't clear them out yet. Saw Gulliver down at the beach, one crazy guy! Edit: I have no idea how the online works in this, so will be a few days before Venturing out
  13. Thanks for the heads up Meatball, code is indeed on club nintendo page. Really shouldn't play tonight, got to be up for job induction tomorrow...

    The Last Of Us

Intro: fucking hell is all I can say Wonderful game so far. I'm 2 hours in now, unbelievable atmosphere, graphics are outstanding - don't think anything at e3 looked this good. The sound effects deserve a special mention, you can hear so much background detail in surround sound, like feet scuffling (best word I could think of) on the ground when you strangle someone. Really taking my time with this, exploring and reading everything. Going to play an hour or two an evening rather than blitzing it like I do with most games.
  15. If anyone's planning on having cocks in their town please say now and I'll delete you, my 4 y/o wants to play this more than me! Edit, don't mind what people say, he can't read yet

    The Last Of Us

I'm literally camped out in my porch at the moment, have a coffee and a Belgian bun. Postie is almost always here between 9:30 and 9:45. I can't hear the post come from anywhere else in the house.
  18. I'm up to date with adding people from page 1. Missing a few to add me back though, code is 4785-4889-4937 if you want to!
  19. Was looking forward to a few hours on this on Friday, but just heard I was successful in a job interview and have an induction all day BOOO!!!
  20. Worthplaying said: As with most Nintendo first-party games, the use of the 3-D effect is top-notch. The added depth helps make the visuals "pop," although the simplistic art style prevents it from being as striking as some of the other 3DS games, like Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Game Revolution said: 3D effect is nice but doesn't add anything meaningful Joystiq said: Another addition, though it doesn't affect the gameplay, isNew Leaf's use of the 3D display. The effect is subtle, but it helps bring the world to life. Thanks to the return of the "rolling" environment camera angle, the extra sense of depth in New Leaf stands out just enough that I rarely played with the slider off
  21. IGN review: http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2013/06/04/animal-crossing-new-leaf-review Farewell real life, was great knowing you. See you in a year.
  22. Grabbed this off PS+ last night and must say I am quite impressed. Combat is actually fun and the world looks nice with a smooth frame rate. Currently enjoying doing the side quests in the first town, it's nice that they actually lead onto other quests rather than just killing 10 board and turning in. Restarted a few times to try other classes and then realised you can just change your destiny! Can you reset talent points too?
