What preset are you using on the gold headset sammy? I've got it on generic shooter and although it sounds good, I think the weapon noises are a bit flat sounding

I'm no fan of Rosberg and thought the boos at Spa were somewhat justified, but booing today was a but lame I think.

Wow surprised this is only £3.69 on PS4, is that a sale price or something? Thought it was £13 or so on PS4

I thought it was pretty meh, apart from the bit where he shouts PENIS - that was gold

Was thinking about getting this for my 8 y/o daughter who loves the Sims 3.
Then I read a list of all the stuff she won't be able to do in The Sims 4 and I just can't see the point at all. You can't build swimming pools for example and she loves that.

Shameless copy/paste from Gaf:
In Friday's Bungie Weekly Update, Design Lead Luke Smith gave out some new info regarding Destiny's Raids and clarified some rumors that was going on about it (i.e took 45 minutes just to open the door, etc..).
Here we go:
About the whole ''It took 45 minutes just to open the door'' rumor:
Q: I read somewhere that it took 45 minutes just to open the door to the Raid, what's the deal with that?
Luke: Sounds like that group (it was DeeJs!) had some communication issues.
For the majority of Raid encounters, you're going to need to work as a group. That group of six is trying to form a metaphorical key which opens a given encounter's lock.
By design, we dont provide much in the way of information to groups in Raids. There arent waypoints to follow, or objectives explaining what to do in a given situation.
Realistically, for many players, theyll be turning to the Internet for help on how to do a bunch of the Raid.
There's an old Bungie quote about not wanting players to go to the Internet to figure out solutions. That quote certainly wasn't about Raiding in Destiny.
We fully expect players to either publish strategy guides on the Internet or keep their group's secrets guarded close to the vest in an effort to keep their rewards even more exclusive.
Once your group understands how to open the Vault, it's not going to take anywhere near 45 minutes.
Regarding the rumor about a ''clan'' that took 16+ hours and didn't beat the Raid:
Q: What about the rumor that some clan spent 16+ hours playing the Raid and didn't beat it, what's the deal with that?
Luke: There's a whole bunch of missing information in that sentence. So let's just talk about that particular weekend.
In March 2014, we brought an organized clan of folks in to playtest the Raid. This would be one of the only times the Vault of Glass would be played by external participants.
These folks are shooter players, not -- for the most part -- Raiders from other games. They are a group of people used to working together primarily in competitive multiplayer games, and hadn't been exposed to an experience like this before.
We arranged the 24 visitors into four teams.
We put them through a pretty lengthy UR study, filmed them, datamined their adventures, and watched them play it live. Later, the Raid team spent a bunch of time watching player perspective films we captured during the day.
We did not offer them help, tips or tricks during their time here. We didn't clarify mechanics for them. We watched, listened and learned.
In two days of playing - where they broke for meals and had some ramp up time with the game on day 1, here's what happened:
Two groups made it to the final encounter. Neither group defeated it.
One group made it to the final encounter, but had to be skipped through an earlier encounter.
One group washed out and elected to go back to playing Strikes, Missions and Patrols.
With the goal of as many players beating the Normal Raid as were willing to organize, cooperate and communicate, we made a bunch of tuning changes through the rest of the Spring.
How difficulties modes work in Raids:
Q: A Normal Raid? What is that? How does difficulty work in Destiny Raids?
Luke: There are two difficulties for Raiding: Normal and Hard. Upon finishing a Raid on Normal, players can attempt the Hard-mode version of the Raid.
Normal mode is about learning the mechanics, working together as a team and building strategies to overcome the encounters.
For instance: Ive gotten a handful of Bungie groups through the Raid on Normal, and you guys (the playerbase) are inevitably better at the game, smarter tacticians, and more clever than we are.
Hard modes demand execution.
In addition to deadlier combatants, tighter tuning windows for encounter mechanics and a handful of targeted differences, Hard-mode encounters leverage an even harsher death penalty than the Normal modes.
Were we to track things like World Firsts, we'd be verifying Hard-mode kills instead of completing the Raid on Normal.
Don't have the time to finish the Raid in one go? Luke Smith got that covered:
Q: Seriously, how long will it take, I have a life.
Luke: Because we store your progress in a given week, you don't need to clear the activity in one-go. Your group could simply make your way into the Vault and call it an evening, reconvene later in the week and pick up where you left off.
However, your progress for the week is reset each Tuesday at the Weekly Reset.
The loot that we'll get in the Raid:
Luke: Each class has an entire set of gear to chase across the two difficulties.
And of course, there are Raid weapons. Each of Destinys nine weapon archetypes (Auto Rifle, Hand Cannon, Pulse Rifle, Fusion Rifle, HMG, Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun and Scout Rifle) has a Legendary version that has been created specifically for the Raid.
The armor and weapons are completely unique to the Raid activity. They are visually and thematically connected to the combatants you'll fight in the Vault of Glass.
And of course, there are more rewards behind the Vaults door that we wont detail today.
And how looting works in Destiny's Raid:
Q: How does looting work in Destiny Raids?
Luke: The loot you get is private to you - just like the rest of the game.
Obtaining loot from a given encounter means that character is not eligible to receive loot from the same encounter again in a given calendar week. This is often referred to as a "Lockout."
I italicized character above, because if you have multiple Raid-ready characters, you can run the Raid again on a different character - and the Lockout isn't applied to it.
Each encounter has a fixed inventory of items it can award to players, e.g., certain pieces of gear or weapons can only drop from certain encounters.
Lockouts are cleared at the Weekly Reset.
And no, they'll not tell you what kind of mechanics and stuff in the Raid as of now:
Q: Would you give an example of a mechanic that we'd face in a Destiny Raid?
Luke: Absolutely not.
To summarize about Raids will have in Destiny:
- Mechanics that require teamwork/strategy
- Weekly Lockout per character than per account
- Specific Loot table for each Boss
- Hard mode

Do the Sky Now deal which bags you £10 free PSN credit. Add another £2 yourself and you've got three months Plus, for basically two quid.
Thanks for the reminder about getting the £10 psn with the Now TV trial. It runs out tomorrow, so did it just in time!
Seems like this Now TV is pretty good actually. Made a list of 15 recent films which I have been meaning to see but haven't got round to.
Thanks!

Finished Left Behind last night for the first time. What an absolutely incredible complement to the main story. The writing and acting are just so far ahead of any other game it's unreal, the music and graphics are sublime and playing this with surround sound headphones was one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've ever had.
All this and TLoU having an excellent multiplayer mode (which doesn't rely on having the reactions of a 14 year old) leads me to the conclusion that this is the best game I have ever played. Naughty Gods indeed!

Looks like the problems with the brightness in the underground sections are widespread and looking at this http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/Technical-Questions/Wrong-gamma-in-story-after-applying-patch-1-01-Screens/td-p/44193358 it looks like it could of been caused by the day 1 patch. Those pics look just like mine.

It has distinct profiles for Infamous, Watch Dogs and TLOU. Also has a generic Shooter and Fighting (lol?) profiles and custom ones. Think there is some music and movie profiles too.
You can download the app on the PS4 before you get the headphones by the way.

Yes they are both the same. IIRC it was called 'Gold' in the US release, there is no difference except for the packaging.
I bought mine from that ebay seller (gameseek) and it came 2 days later. Well recommended.
Excellent headset, comfortable and great sound quality. I downloaded the TLOU setting via the headset app and it sounds incredible.

You do realise it's supposed to look like that? The air is full of spores.
No, it's not that. It's difficult to explain but certainly didn't look like this on PS3.

Had a really bad problem with crushed blacks on the dark underground section of this last night. Like everything was covered in a shiny film. Had I not of played through this before I honestly don't think I would of got past it - underwater was fine but pop you head out of the water and it looked terrible almost like every texture had disappeared.
I tried everything from changing the PS4's RGB settings, recalibrating the TVs black levels and nothing worked. I know people will probably say it's the TV settings but I have not had this problem with any other game/film.
As soon as I came outside the picture looks crystal clear and beautiful again.

Just did the strike on the moon, was amazing. Took 56 minutes, died an unbelievable amount of times! Glad they made this pretty hard, great sense of achievement,
