I always think there’s loads of room for re-use of older stuff in different ways.
For example, Destiny has the best FPS gunplay out there, gorgeous artwork and creative mission design, especially for raids. Sadly I will only ever experience a fraction of that because it’s MMO systems are both impenetrable and unworkable for me. I know I’m hardly alone in this.
Solution? A single player open-world Destiny game that smooshes all of the environments and spaces they’ve made into one place that you explore in a free-form way. Basically like Elden Ring but as an awesome FPS, with legacy dungeon type areas that provide you with a taste of the puzzley inventive design that characterises the raids.
I wish they’d just package the surprisingly fun (and very shiny) single-player campaign elements of Destiny 2 into a standalone product without all the baffling MMOFPS nonsense attached to it. Some of it is now unavailable which is a shame.

But the RTX 4080 seems fine though? VRAM amount is dictated by the memory bus width (unless you do something stupid like Nvidia have a couple of times in the past *cough* GTX 970 lawsuit *cough). 16GB of VRAM is fine, unless you are doing something outside the usual. 10GB however, way more borderline for a decent card.
16gb is great; I meant the move from GDDR6X to GDDR6 in this case.

Been waiting on these, along with new Ryzens, for my first entirely new PC in a decade.
If Nvidia plays silly buggers with memory yet again, as suggested with the 4080 specs, then I’m not sure what I will do.

I get that it's annoying but I always wonder how people think the second economics of something like that work. It cannot have been selling many copies over the second year of its life and yet servers and new content are being created. Reading the Reddit is hilarious with so many entitled gamers. Yes, you paid for a thing and it's gone in some way. But the game still exists. If you actually enjoyed playing then nothing has changed..
I completely agree with you that the economics of modern online multiplayer games are terrible, exploitative and basically preclude modern online games from being worthwhile playing beyond the short-term. It’s a real shame.
It’s another thing popularised by Valve that they need to answer for. They even pioneered the paid-for-to-F2P bait-and-switch.

Nintendo are primarily in the business of selling software.
Will Nintendo start releasing software that needs new hardware that will justify them starting from zero user base, especially given the added risks involved? Probably not anytime soon.
I think Nintendo stepping off the performance/graphics treadmill makes generational transitions especially risky compared with MS/Sony. They’ll have to do it eventually but it makes sense for them to drag their heels as much as they can.

Aladdin was the best of the live-action remakes I’ve seen so I’m not surprised they’re bringing Richie back. Never seen the animated Hercules, though.

Why keep pretending anyone likes 76? Just kill it
Just like ESO, I believe it does surprisingly well and makes a lot of money

Ara is a Civ-like, I guess?
I forget ESO exists until they announce something every E3.

Forza looks really impressive. I just hope there's enough content, especially single-player content.

Redfall looks fun, but the voiceovers are extremely irritating and utterly unnecessary. I hope they are less prominent in the actual game.

Better without the voiceover.

Palworld looked really impressive and cute then the rifles appeared

Geez there's a lot of high production value indie games these days.

If you're going to shamelessly steal your art style from Jet Set Radio, don't make it look much worse.

I read this as Anneka Rice TV universe. I would have been up for that.

Red Bull with a looming team orders dilemma here. Max going to pop out of the pits with freshies and within striking distance of Perez.
If Max can catch Perez then they will do it. I can’t see them slowing Perez down, Russell is too close
edit: Looks like Verstappen will catch Perez pretty quickly which makes it a no brainer

Verstappen still needs to pit again, so it might get interesting near the end, particularly depending on what others need to do

I mentioned it a years ago…
A racing game based around using die-cast cars with NFC to make them playable in-game. Die-cast cars are already popular, it would be a natural fit and would provide a clear USP against Hot Wheels etc.
I guess the problem is that you would have to invest in making the game good and not some low-quality F2P mobile nonsense.
