Man this could be so good, if only EA got its shit together and managed to release a demo or launch a game that actually works. First BFV, now this. I want to love it, I really do, but when you spend hours faffing about with invites, loading screens, crashes, I have better ways to spend my time.

Well yes, I am aware of that, hence my confusion at seeing some posts saying the controller details aren't in the game.
-
Is this stuff about missing controls just on console or? I had no problem finding them on PC, anyway, playing with a pad.

Aaaaaaaaaaand the waterworks are back.

I really like this so far! Didn't have time to play this yesterday so luckily didn't encounter any of those connection issues. Menu is pretty bugged though, especially when you want to invite a friend to your squad. Needs fixin'!

I just find the entire thing really stupid! Just like that fight Finished now, and agree that Bernthal makes the show. Heck, he made season 2 of Daredevil. I'm really gonna miss his Punisher!

End of episode 10: On to episode 11! Edit: so yeah the writing on this storyline is so incredibly bad it makes me angry because if you are gonna suddenly completely change a character's motivations, sense of self, etc., you better make it damn well believable and don't pull crap like this. Goddamnit.

Actually I've no idea why I thought that! Sorry

Yeah I don't understand that either. It's one of the things that is incredibly silly about this season. Why is he even wearing a mask. Why does everyone act like he has this horrible face that makes him almost unrecognizable lol. The way they talk he should be fuckin RUINED. (And after season 1, he SHOULD be)

It's what Benny does! I'm 6 episodes in and enjoying it so far, not bored at all. Not sure any show can keep the pace that the first 2 episodes had set. It's still really stupid in places, though.

I'm loving this as well, am 8 episodes in but currently taking a short break for The Punisher, then gonna go straight back to this! It looks beautiful, the acting is good (I was worried I wouldn't be able to buy Smith as Philip, now I can't imagine anyone else doing it! Will be interesting once season 3 comes along...)

I enjoyed the game overall, its atmosphere etc, but it was also pretty daft (and that's from me the Stephen King fan!) and imo overstayed its welcome a bit as it felt very repetitive down the line. I think it probably just hasn't aged that well, and so it will mean very different things to those who played it when it first came out than to those who play it years after release.

This is not something I did. But until this day I wonder which friend of mine borrowed my Sims 1 collection (main game and quite a number of add-ons) and never returned it. I have a sneaking suspicion it's the same one who never returned my Caspar VHS tape. We are not friends anymore. I'm 100% I also must've pulled some sneaky things but atm I can't remember anything!

The Game of Life! ~so deep~

I haven't watched this in a few months, I think I have 6 episodes left. I just can't stand the voice actor, especially Morty is slowly grinding down my nerves. I have to be in a very specific mood to be able to watch it. Jerry's fun!

Oh I've seen that one as well. It was interesting, but I still don't know whether I think the ending is smart, or stupid.

I don't get around to a lot of personal reading at the moment because I read so much other non-fiction for my thesis. I never set myself a challenge either. This weekend I took a little research break and read Stephen King's Elevation. It's a very short little book, a novella really. It's about a man who starts losing weight for no reason, but keeps looking the same. It's a very absurd story and due to it's shortness and lack of horror or gore, as well as little drawings above new chapters and a bigger font it almost felt like a children's book! The story serves as a backdrop for King's pleading for a progressive America. It's set in Castle Rock, which King states voted for Trump in 2016 and is very conservative. It felt a bit strange, knowing how much King tweets about US politics these days, to feel that seeping into this story. But on the other hand, it's his voice and he can do with that as he pleases. I think he wanted to create a little light and hope in the current darkness.

I'm generally really terrible at games. But Ori I've tried twice, and never finished. Don't laugh. I won't even go near Bloodborne or Dark Souls.

None these days, no. The most I will do is if I am really stuck somewhere, check a walkthrough. When we were kids we used cheats on Tomb Raider for extra ammo and stuff like that I think, once or twice. I remember you had to perform a certain chain of movements with Lara. And I used 2 cheats on The Sims back in the day, one to get tons of money and one so my Sims could build up to the very edge of their property and even change the pavement etc, I think. Multiplayer cheaters are scum!

Right now I am really glad Netflix always offers a summary of the previous season when releasing a new one, this time I really need it!

How is it possible I remember so little about season 1. Was Billy the villain his former military buddy gone contractor?

I'm terrible at finishing games but have done 2 so far this year: Blackwell: Epiphany (2014) PC The fifth and final game in the Blackwell series. I finished the first four games over the last few months in 2018 and really enjoyed the entire series. A cozy point-and-click adventure with an interesting story, chilled soundtrack and not-so-great voice acting. Never Alone (2014) Xbox One This was an Xbox Gold game this month and I took advantage of the 1 month for 1€ offer over Christmas so I could play this. Finished it in one sitting and really greatly enjoyed it. It's got a lovely art style and despite a couple of bugs I enjoyed the gameplay as well, for me it was neither too tricky nor too easy. I don't play a lot of platformers and give up quickly when it's too hard (never finished Ori for example, which is a shame) so this one really hit the spot for me. I also really enjoyed the little videos that you unlock as you play where you learn about the culture from which the game's narrative came.

I'd agree but I feel like I can't be objective about that. GG is very close to my heart and I've known it for such a long time, it's hard for any new effort to compete. But it definitely took me a lot longer to get into Maisel than it did with GG.

Fully agree, it's what annoys me most about the entire show
