  1. I got my Sheika Slate tracking ability updated last night so I could track items in my compendium and now it's constantly beeping everywhere I go. I've tried selecting an item that's pretty rare, so I don't get the beeping all the time, but it's still pretty annoying, so is there any way to deselect any item it's tracking? I'd read somewhere you select the item in the compendium and press Y, but that doesn't do anything.
  2. Ah right. I'd actually already spoke to him.
  3. Where would I pick that up? Sounds perfect.
  4. As much as I'm loving the adventuring, and I'm really trying my best not to advance the main story, where are people picking up any good side quests? I've only got a few and they're pretty tedious things like 'collect 10 of these for me', 'return my 10 chickens', etc. Stuff that's easily completed in the immediate vicinity you pick them up from. I'd really like some purpose to head out into the wilds a bit more, rather than just to see what's over the next hill, but the side quests seem very thin on the ground.

Nice! Just got to make sure I don't miss my stop now.

Does it have any charge straight out of the box? I'm just going picking mine up and quite fancy a blast on the train on the way home.
  7. For those who are playing it, and I don't expect anyone is anywhere near finishing it yet but, is it really shaping up to be the best game ever?

    Nintendo Switch

Sounds good. I might pick one up tomorrow now.
  9. According to Metacritic, it's not even as good as Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2.

Ah, ok. First time I'd noticed that. I think I would have preferred it to be opaque. How does it compare with the other two controllers? Seems very close to the Xbox pad in ergonomics.

No. That whole face panel where the sticks and buttons are.

Is the top section of the Pro controller translucent?
  13. This is a game changer.
  14. Weird. I'm sure I was in the top group before they changed it to the Insider Programme. I also do a few of those quests, but I've never had anything telling me they were moving me down a group, or even asking if I wanted to stay in the top group. I'll have a look around and see if I can find a way back in. Unless someone can invite me, if that's still a thing?
  15. It isn't the newest preview stuff you get in ring 3 then? How do I change it to get the latest dash?
  16. I was away last week, so couldn't check, but I've just had a look and I'm in Preview Ring 3. What does that mean exactly? It only give me the option to move to preview ring 4 or unenroll.
  17. I've never played it, unfortunately. It's good to know they learnt from their mistakes though. I'm ready for this slotting into my number 2 spot behind Halo though. Faith. o/
  18. Maybe, but that's one of the games which it's being compared to now. Not that I ever thought it should mirror Skyrim's approach, it's always been about having a huge world to play in for me and I'm glad they're taking that approach. Were you around during that conversation I remember then? What are your thoughts about this Zelda?
  19. Does anyone remember a few years ago we were having a discussion about Zelda, probably about Skyward Sword, I think around the time Skyrim had just launched, and a very small minority of us were saying how we hoped the next Zelda would be open world, but I'm pretty sure most people were against the idea? I'd like to remember who that was and what their thoughts are on it now, especially seeing as according to the previews Nintendo have smashed it. Have their minds been changed? Are they still against it? Are they getting it? Are they looking forward to it? I'd also like to know their impressions after playing it, if their minds have been changed and they're going to be giving it a go. It's a massive step in the right direction for me after being massively disappointed with Skyward Sword. I always remember ALTTP blowing me away at the time with how you had this massive world to traverse and adventure across, in, what seemed like at least, any order you wanted. OOT brought that even further to life by introducing 3D. It really fuelled my imagination about what the future would bring, but then after TP being a decent greatest hits, SS shrunk the concept in all the wrong ways for me. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this and would like to hear what people who were originally against the idea of an open world Zelda think.

It's pretty simple for me. My couch is over 16 feet away from my TV and where the Switch will sit, so I need to know the reality of this problem. Like I said last night though, I won't be cancelling because I've been waiting too long for Zelda, but if it is a genuine, widespread problem and not just a few early faulty units or something they can easily fix then they've got a serious problem on their hands. I hope Nintendo make a statement about it sooner rather than later, to put any doubts to bed.

Surely it can't have a range of only 10 feet? I'm still keeping my preorder because I can't believe they'd be that stupid.

    Xbox One X

Was it? I thought you were originally asking how MS are going to market Scorpio games when they're available on the standard Xbox as well, and I replied by saying the same way as Sony do with the Pro and standard PS4. Scorpio will have added stuff* over the One, just like the Pro does over the PS4. *stuff we'll undoubtedly find out about at E3.

    Xbox One X

Well, no. It's launching this 'holiday', but we all already know that. What's your point again? I didn't know that about the original Xbox One though, but it makes sense.

    Xbox One X

Well, won't MS do that exact same thing then? 'Love Xbox One, but fancy a slimmer version that handles HDR and 4K Bluray playback? Well, here's the Xbox One S.' 'Love Xbox One, but fancy a beast that'll do everything the S does, but adds [whatever they reveal at E3]? Well, here's Scorpio.' Ultimately I expect the S to phase out the original, then they'll have a two tier system. I can imagine Sony are probably planning to phase out the original PS4 and just leave the slim and Pro as well. Unless I'm missing something obvious, that seems a pretty sensible approach from both companies.

    Xbox One X

Honest question, is that any different for Sony (minus the PC bit obviously)? I didn't think they were going to allow any games to solely run on the Pro.
