  1. I’m not saying they’re wrong. Must I really add “In my opinion” to anything I think or have we all been using the internet long enough for it to be implicit? But more than that, what I really don’t get is why people feel the need to make the effort to make a post to say how little interest they have in something. What’s the point? Maybe I should start working my way through every thread on Rllmuk that’s about something I have no interest in and make sure everyone is aware of the fact. My post count would go through the roof.
  2. I’ll be there midnight on day 1. I’m really not sure why some people have got such a downer on it when they’ve seen the same couple of minutes that I have so far. Those two minutes looked perfectly enjoyable and a lot of fun. It seems to me that there’s a lot of people out there who are wanting it to be failure. At worst it’s a waste of a tenner and 2 hours of your time so why not go into it with a positive outlook?
  3. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but would you really see no difference then between a 90 minute long drama that’s made for cinema and another that’s made for showing on BBC one evening? I think there’s a difference but I’m struggling to articulate why. Do you think that all the TV dramas made throughout the world in the last 12 months should eligible to win the Palm D’or? That’s surely impractical and so there’s got to be arbitrary limits placed on what’s considered.
  4. There’s got to be a quality fishy / Bresson / Star Wars related pun in there somewhere but it’s just not coming to me at this early hour. Eau Hasard Balthazar is the best I can come up with.
  5. Just a handful as cargo and the rare gin they sell too. Would love one for the dashboard of my ship though.
  6. Making the trip to Hutton Orbital at the moment for the first time. 0.22ly in Super Cruise! They better have some mugs in stock.
  7. Ooh all sorts. Off the top of my head... ...and probably a load more that I've not thought of :-)
  8. Ooh I like a list... Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Return of the Jedi The Force Awakens | Rogue One (I prefer The Force Awakens in general but Rogue One gets a massive boost for feeling like a film for Star Wars nerds so they're neck and neck to me) The Last Jedi Revenge of the Sith The Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones I do love them all to be honest. I'm not daft and I know that the prequels aren't great films at best, but I love the story they tell and can see past that. I wouldn't be without any of them.
  9. Have just finished the finale episode of Season 1 and I’ve loved it from beginning to end. As as I said earlier, I never thought I wasn’t going to like it, but it’s been far better than I’d anticipated. Roll on the beginning of Season 2 tomorrow evening with any luck. :-)
  10. I saw it was from a site called “themarysue.com” and decided not to read it properly. I did read the first few sentences of the third paragraph though and: Rey herself has no major role in the final battle other than rescuing the Resistance. - Yeah I guess rescuing the Resistance from the pursuit of the First Order, which is one of the two main story lines of the film isn’t really a major role in the final battle is it? The end product leaves all the female characters and characters of color without any meaningful impact on the story. - Well apart from Rey that is who has already been mentioned above and who also went some way to winning Luke around to make his return for the final battle. Oh and Admiral Holdo, without whom the Resistance wouldn’t have even made it to Crait in the first place. Before I forget there’s also Paige Tico, who if she’d not managed to get the bombs to drop from her ship in the opening 10 minutes would have probably resulted in the shortest Star Wars film ever made.
  11. Are Grainger Games actually any good in general then? I've only ever been in the Doncaster branch a couple of times and it just felt like a combination of Game Station and CEX. Certainly not the kind of place I'd want to rush back to. I can appreciate that may have been the Doncaster influence though.
  12. That looks great but from what I can see there’s no iOS option? Don’t have a PC or Mac I can run it on. iPad only at the moment.
  13. Can anyone recommend me an iPad compatible map design tool for use in RPG games? Battle Map 2 looks pretty good but it’s been a few years since it was updated and all the reviews are from ages ago which I find slightly concerning. Is there a modern day go to App that I should be using?
  14. If you’re pronouncing the of then it’s a lah di dah posh Yorkshire accent. Around here they’re known as... Lord ert Rings and Game er Thrones.
  15. I’ve spent 25 hours+ in the last week roleplaying a courier who aimed to get the ‘package’ delivered no matter what in order to make his name in the business. If that sounds appealing then 100% yes.
