  1. So, yesterday I bought myself Bayonetta for the third time, just to be able to play it handheld on the best console ever.
  2. Even if it was a launch day console how could @Len possibly be done with Zelda! I'm at 155+ hours and still have LOADS to do, sounds like some are over 200 hours and feel the same. Having not bought any games for the past 5 years (since having kids) aside from getting the odd 3DS game for Christmas (The Zelda's, Luigi's Mansion...) I've managed to pile over 12 games onto my Switch so far and I don't regret a single purchase (although I don't remember Wonder Boy being so fucking hard!) First party games alone have accumulated well over 200 hours of play, pr
  3. I downloaded it tethered yesterday on 4G in about 20 minutes after finding myself with a ridiculous connection... After saying I wasn't going to buy it as Zelda and ARMS were taking up enough of my time Glad I did though, played for an hour last night losing my first 4 or 5 games before things clicked - once I figured that getting deeper into enemy territory was more important than covering every last inch in ink I managed to come top in quite a few matches (changing to the 2nd weapon helped as well, the starting gun is balls and using the test range helped me get my head around th
  4. My son just beat Hedlock on level 4 (as Kid Cobra if anyone is interested) and has now unlocked ranked match. He's 5. Beyond proud of the little guy! (I've not ventured above level 4 yet as wanted to learn more characters at that level first, and so know how bloody tough getting that far is!) <3
  5. @dood re: Dragons The DLC has got me right back into this, I've got most of the new clothing bar the teleport medallion, and made it to room 11 in the trials (I think) before dying by accident (right before it sounds like you can save? FFS) After that just went wandering where I had gaps in the map - I now have about 40 more Koroks (close to 320 now) and, according to the map, I'm now over 50% complete (... after 150+ hours)
  6. I reckon you're doing what I did, running around the very edge of the cliffs trying to find where the fuck the shrine that's causing the beeping is (did you come from the South?)
  7. I'm certain that it can be done because I'm sure that I linked the child account I set up for my son to the Switch to play ARMS. I'll try to have a look later and see if I can figure out what I did (or realise that I just imagined completing the process...)
  8. Absolutely love this - I felt the same when @Shimmyhillsaid he used stasis on them. THIS FUCKING GAME. I'd love nothing more than to sit in a pub and swap Zelda stories, hearing all the weird and diverse ways people found to approach different situations.
  9. I've always used Octorok balloons to shift those - I seldom use stasis, just seems a bit unpredictable to me
  10. I saw some on the Nintendo website the other day (marked one set per customer), they might still have some. I really want a second set to play 2 player ARMS properly, but don't think I can justify paying £70 for them...
  11. I had such a great time playing with my boy (he's 5) - he loved the Divine Beasts (he draws them all the time now :p) and once I was crazy tough I'd find Guardians and let him hammer the Y button to take them out (and feel epic!). When facing Ganon at the end I handed the controller to him a few times to let him get a few hits in. Have I mentioned that I love this game?
  12. I'm loving being back in Hyrule - have collected quite a bit of the DLC stuff so far (full Tingle costume, Midna's helmet, the Korok mask and Majora's Mask) - Path of the Hero combined with the Korok mask is brilliant, I've found loads more, some in areas I'd never visited (after 145 hours...) and others that I'd just missed! Giving the trials a quick run now (I had a very brief try earlier, but I'd started with half health and was just fucking about so didn't get far!) Love that the whole thing is just a big Eventide (one of the best parts of the game IMO)
  13. There was only one thing that I wanted to do once I had the Tingle outfit... Of course I absolutely shat it and forgot that the Switch has a screenshot button...
  14. Haha, I didn't even notice that, was too distracted by the "SWTICH" on the video still
  15. Looks great (a but better than that Nyko one)... But I'm totally put off by their inability to spell "Switch"
  16. Or whilst strafing in a different direction...
  17. I backed this on KickStarter tonight - can't actually remember how I came across the link (it'll be a bit embarrassing if it was this thread...). I've been getting pretty bad cramp in my right hand since getting the Switch and it only recently dawned on me that it might be the console bringing it on. Tried buying some rubbish gel skins from Amazon with a little extra bulk but they're no real use. I think this looks fantastic though (although the huge carry case looks shit...)
  18. It was probably better because I could use two hands
  19. I only ever did one of the motion control shrines in handheld mode, whilst I was in my parked car waiting for something. I knew I'd struggle with the screen (given hehe steering wheel right in front of me) so I popped the right Joy-Con off, held the screen in one hand and did the motion with the other. Took me fucking ages to finish it! Did all the rest at home with the pro controller - so much better!
  20. That would be amazing! But swap that image out for one of Ikaruga Edit: I so wish that I could pos you twice for the same post
  21. I'm sure I read an interview with Reggie where he said they'd be considering more down the line, but only where they felt they could add improvements to the originals to make them the "definitive versions" (Like they've done with MK 8 Deluxe and Pokken DX). I'd be all over some updates, whilst I had a Wii U I didn't get as much time to play as I'd have liked (being a responsible grown up and all), but the portable nature of the Switch totally changes that.
  22. Interesting read - while I'm sure MP4 will be excellent (like Echoes and Corruption before it) it really jumps out from that interview that we'll never get another true masterpiece like Prime - the focus on story is what jumps out at me, and the absolute beauty of Prime, that's never been repeated (and in fact became more and more diluted as the games went on) was that the entire story was told purely through the scanner, reading notes and historic records. The more NPCs they added to the games the worse they got IMO, so any focus on expanding the history of the Galactic Federatio
  23. I saw headlines that the hard mode will be a separate save to the normal one... But haven't read any detail on it, so not sure if that save needs to begin from the start or if it can branch from the original one (although my guess would be that it'd need to start again)
