For me, i’d say it’s the Atari 5200 controller. Awkward button placements make it uncomfortable even after a short amount of gaming time, unreliable, and the non self-centring stick makes a number of games a chore to play.

This x 1000!!! If you’ve never used one, you have zero idea of how truly awful and unreliable they were/are. Everything else just pales in to insignificance in comparison.

Yeah the box is classy af, although a little bit plastic hell inside.

Yeah, inside it was a bit layer upon layer of black plastic trays, but overall some thought had gone into the box itself, which was a classy touch.

A warning for those getting the VS.

To turn it on you have to hold the power button for a second for some reason.

Thought mine was broken for a second!

EDIT : Oh yeah, mine also turned up.

Mine just turned up via DPD!

    Nice packaging 😉

Does anyone know how long it takes for Curry's to receive in store for a VIP code order?

The one I got for my daughter in October, via a Curry’s code, took 7 days from going to the shop with the code till it arrived. 2 weeks seems to be a more common timescale though.

  5. I absolutely loved this, it was right up my street! I enjoyed it so much, that upon completion I bought both the previous 2 instalments and played them through back to back on Series X.

Think I’d put House of Ashes top of the pile, then Little Hope, and finally Medan…. Although it’s a close call for me between the top 2.

Really looking forward to the next instalment.

Redeemed my code and paid on 17 October. No news from Currys yet. Thank you to @Jonny5 for the code, very much appreciated.

I redeemed my code and paid on the 17th and the console arrived for pick up yesterday, so fingers crossed that it’s pretty imminent for yours also 🤞🏻

  7. The Dead Zone (1983): Christopher Walken, in the role he was born to play as a crippled psychic, leads a wonderful all star cast (Herbert Lom, Martin Sheen, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt), in a super natural tale of lost love, right wing psychopaths and a world in turmoil.

In my opinion, the best Stephen King adaptation and it is helped

immeasurably by the practical effects of the time. I saw an interview with Walken, in which he confirm that the scene with him lying in bed and surrounded by a raging fire, was literally just that!

If you haven’t seen this, go watch it! The book is good, but the movie (with its subtle, understated acting and wonderful direction by David Cronenberg) is better.

Hmm. Nothing through yet. We'll see. I've still got the 512gb one on my cart on Chrome and the 256gb in my cart on the Steam app, but I can't process either.

Did people pay with PayPal or card? PP didn't work at all for me.

I used credit card, my deposit for a 512gb just (finally) went through. It’s a total pain though, even when in it’s in the cart and then even when you get the all clear to pay…. You have to keep trying

Yes good point, I should have mentioned that.  I'm in anyway, and was using Argos vouchers to purchase so have already paid for the vouchers regardless.

Also, I'd imagine they aren't as easy to cancel as Amazon etc. perhaps in part due to the payment up front.

Rather surprisingly, Argos preorders aren’t that hard to cancel. They’re a bit more long winded than Amazon (obviously), but all you need to do is select the chat option on the website, give them your order number and details etc, and the order will be cancelled and your money refunded.
