When I've been in clear 'untackleable' positions holding X, my players simply barged the other player off the ball, conceding a foul. Class. I agree with everything you said there - it just feels a shitload more real, and the lack of catchup is a godsend. Plus Rooney and Ronaldinho are both fuck ugly, which is another nice touch.

Well, I just got it and tested it out for a bit. Testing began at about 12 midnight. Jesus fucking crikey this game is fun. They seem to have tweaked it very, very well to make for a much more flowing experience. Scored a goal, started to celebrate, cut to linesman flagging for offside. Never seen that before. I was strangely happy.

I got a pirated Harvest Moon off Ebay. Annoyed the shit out of me. Negative feedback, complaint to Ebay, complaint(s) to seller, dobbed him in to ELSPA. Doubt they did anything though. Fuck them. I paid for a real version, not a poor copy. I got my money back though. And I didn't really care to send him back the game. Fucker.

Flood when you pick up some litter - "er er er er er.. goombah!" Any noise off UFO Enemy Unknown - probably on a par with Doom for most ripped off sound effects ever.

Ugh, don't remind me - I have 10+ on the go right now, but I do tend to focus on one when I get pissed off with it (most recently: Spiderman 2) so I can get it out of the way. Freelancer, Red Alert 2, Psi Ops, Silent Hill 4, Disgaea (oops..) and more. Oh, and god bless my brother for sending me Champ Manager 03/04. Like I have the sodding time!

The GOTY version adds the two expansion packs, as noted, so it is worth it even if you played the original to death - especially at that price.

Seriously- whythefuck they take that out? Turned it into a tiny little piddle of nothing. There's no satisfaction in killing someone if they're not going to bleed as if their name is Niagra McFalls! Vandal Hearts 2 - the fucked it up somehow and it just isn't a patch on the first. Lots of little things just make it a much poorer game. I'm still waiting for a number 3 to redress the balance!

Hehe - I had UFO on the PSOne, then Amiga, then PC from around 1995 onwards - I finished it for the first time January last year. Bar Champ Manager, it's the game I've played most ever. Come to think of it, I couldn't find my copy of it anywhere so I yarred a version a couple of weeks ago. I fackin laaarve it! Other than that it's been Vandal Hearts (avoid number 2, as it is - as the French say - a bag of wank), FFT/FFTA, Ring of Red and more recently Disgaea and La Pucelle Tactics. One of my favourite genres, but one that I seem to have missed shitloads in. Oh yeah, and Future Tactics is eating up a lot of my time. Are there any set in a sci-fiey universe? Turn based strategy jobbies, like the above mentioned. I mean, UFO/TFTD do get boring, Apocalypse is shite and my comp can't handle UFO The Aftermath. (Plus I can't be bothered to look )
