  1. It does look pretty good from what I have seen. It's definitely on my watch list. I was having issues with the camera in Yooka Laylee, but changing to "Classic" in the options has sorted it out. A very solid 8 from me now.
  2. Just playing Yooka Laylee. Although a bit floaty and rough around the edges, I am really enjoying it. Some very funny scripting. I love Trowser and the accompanying "voice"... A complete ode to Banjo and Kazooie which I adored. I love a collectathon too. "Trowsers Worldwide Incredible Traders"
  3. This sums up Balearic for me
  4. Just finished off Gannon. 125+ hours, 100 shrines, 171 koroks. On the map screen it shows 39.4% completion. What a tour de force of a game. I'm still going to wander about and mop stuff up. How the hell are they going to top this with the sequel?
  5. Thanks for the heads up. It's a steal at that price. Scramble, Nemesis/Gradius, Lifeforce and Vulcan Venture are all quality old school arcade shooters.
  6. Really? I haven't noticed any?
  7. All this talk of Mr Driller?? "Hail to the King" is now out, at a bargain price £3.99. Tremendous port too.
  8. Thanks for all your interests. I'll get back to you all as soon as.
  9. For those who were interested in my games. Here's an (incomplete) list of my games https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A5h64lEFmsCHzwaeimR_Lkn_5B8kfzJzPYDPM2QOvGo/edit?usp=drivesdk
  10. Sorry for the late reply chaps. Mixture of pal, JAP and US across all. I'll do a doc over the weekend and give you a link. Got several Jap Saturn (,Radiant Silvergun, Elevator Action Returns, battle garegga)... And they're all boxed with instructions save for a few
  11. I've got a collection of games starting from the SNES till modern days that I'm wanting to move on. Got Dreamcast, Saturn, N64, GameCube, stuff. I'm not a collector, but I never get rid of anything I've bought, mainly through laziness. But the cupboard is jammed and I need the room. I can assure you it's all genuine, but I'm not going to be opening carts to prove it. Would anybody be interested? Is it best to load these up to a Google Doc to see what I've got?
  12. Just started on ITV4 now.
  13. Agreed. Paul Kaye was excellent. This series however was nowhere as good as the first.
  14. Gutted. Probably the most influential band on my musical life. Planet Rock was the catalyst. But when I discovered Bambaata had ripped it from Kraftwerk, it opened up a whole new world. RIP Florian.
  15. Late to the party. Very funny. Great characters, a modern day farce. Got to love Martin.
  16. On the weekend before lockdown I was in some pretty swanky, pretentious bar in Shoreditch. However, two young lads had some turntables in the corner playing some cracking disco tracks. This was one of them. Such a great tune. Perhaps even wandering into Yacht Rock territory. Dreamy...
  17. I completed the main quest yesterday too. Can't wait to properly explore the world and hoover up the moons. Pure Nintendo magic. Loved it.
  18. Neither am I. But it only started working again once I had unplugged anything Switch related from the TV, Amp and the plug socket. I've since updated theJoycons from the settings menu and all appears to be OK.
  19. Is it just me, or is this a fiddly console to set up? I've had nothing but problems with the the Joycons/ Specifically the left one. I charged them both overnight by attaching to the Switch in the dock, but this morning, the left one warned me straight away about being low on charge. The right one was fine. The faff of un-pairing then pairing didn't seem to work. Then, the sky remote wouldn't work at all. In the end I unplugged all the Switch cables and left for a minute. Re-connected. Somehow paired the Joycons (what's all the stuff about re-ordering about?) and both Joycons show 100% and Sky remote now works. Googling seems to suggest that these issue have been occurring since day one. I think I am going to get the Pro Controller. I will hardly play handheld, so seems like a sensible option. I am not a fan of the Joycons if I am honest. I can't get on with playing with them detached at all. And, I was a fan of the Wii Mote and Nunchuck set-up. This sounds like nitpicking, but first impressions weren't typical Nintendo. The one thing however that remains unchallenged is the quality of the Nintendo games. Odyssey is utterly sublime. I got the yearly online for £13.99 from CDkeys and didn't realise you got ALL of the NES and SNES games as part of that package. I somehow thought you only got 2 of each. Was impressed with the games available. I am hoping N64 games are coming as well?
  20. It's arrived. It's very small. Super Mario Odyssey is utterly sublime! How long does the charge last on the joycons?
  21. Don't say things like that...
  22. Just managed to blag a console from Very, with Super Mario Odyssey. I've not been this excited about a new console since the N64. Nothing like a bit of Nintendo magic to brighten these strange times
  23. Getting hold of the actual console is like looking for a piece of straw in a stack of needles isn't it?
