  1. Considering PSP had a lot of support the games quickly dropped in price to sub £5 but the Vita doesn't seem to have this problem. I'm waiting to get loads of games but my days of waiting might be years as it still seems to be popular and even used the games hold their price well. The best deals for games seem to be when the psn sales are on. Problem is, i just love the little boxes and cartridges!
  2. Game Dev Story is currently 99p on iOS, usually £4.99. Supposed to be an addictive tycoon type of game. I'm going to give it a go.
  3. Preservation and convenience are both good points. I have heard some vinyl rips of music albums and although it will never be the same thing, it's not a bad option as it's digital the sound will never change or deteriorate. I don't have a record player but if i did i'm sure my opinion would change. The same thing applies to people who have had the original hardware or still have it.
  4. This has probably been discussed before but does it make a difference you to play, for example a PS1 game on a PS1 or PS2 or even a PSP/Vita? I'm no expert but as far as i know they're 100% accurate. PS1 games are better for me on a handheld as the graphics don't look as bad on the 3D games. The same argument for playing on emulators vs the real hardware. I mostly like the feel of the original hardware and having access to roms means you get overwhelmed and don't stick to a game for more than a few minutes. I played Sonic 1 on a Mega Drive and on one of the Mega Drive emulators on the Wii and apart from the controller i couldn't tell the difference. Is it a psychological thing where we have to play on the original hardware? I'm still after a Gameboy Player for the Gamecube but how does it feel to play Gameboy or Advance games on a Gamecube? I have a Super Gameboy but still prefer playing Gameboy games on a Gameboy. Gamecube games on a Wii. Wii games on a Wii U. Xbox games on a 360. PS2 games on a BC PS3. Gameboy on aGameboy Color. Gameboy/Color on a Advance/SP. Master System on a Megadrive. Would be interested to know what people prefer and if they can even tell a difference. I'm not against emulators at all as it makes old games accessible along with translations and fan hacks. I know lots of people have Retro Pi setups. Do you guys care you're playing on an emulator and not the original hardware?

I paid £27 for my SNES one (SFC30) but i have seen them for as low as £22 on Amazon. Different sellers and different prices so i don't know if they're different or all selling an identical product.
  6. Wasn't it around £18 before you get charged on something? I definitely remember seeing a charge for Shantae as it was more expensive. Either way, it's an awesome game and the instruction manual is such a nice touch. Great artwork and actual useful information! Still need to listen to the mini CD. Anyone else playing it?
  7. I dond't think so but that was the total charge. They add all that stuff on on the checkout/delivery screen from what i remember. Ordered Shantae from Amazon.com the same way and all the charges you pay for at the time of order as far as i am aware.
  8. I did the following and i have been playing it for the past few days. For people after Cave Story physical i just ordered from Amazon US for £23.33 delivered and here's how..... Step 1] Log into Amazon.com with your UK account. Step 2] Sign up for the Amazon Prime 30-day free trial. Step 3] Go to "Account" and cancel it, so you don't forget. Step 4] Add the game to your basket. Step 5] Select the cheapest delivery option [9-14 days, tracked]. Step 5] Pay with your card of choice [but beware some cards charge foreign transaction fees]. Step 6] Sit back, relax and know you got a great deal. I found the instructions on Hot UK deals and it works. I hope it gets released here too but at that price it's worth it.

We don't know what will happen with stock in the future but i would advise everyone to order asap. I'm not into scaremongering but even if they produce more the demand will be even higher and scalpers/fans will try and buy as soon as possible. Just had a look on eBay and NES Mini's are going for over £160! I'm pretty sure that the SNES will be hard to get, if not even more difficult than the NES because of the recent hype around Nintendo.

    SNES Mini

If i can get an extra one it will be going on the forum at cost price. The problem is by the time you have shared the link, unless you're constantly checking your phone/computer you will miss out so i don't mind getting an extra one that i know someone on here will appreciate. I hope stock becomes more regular but we will see

Took me and my sister about 2 years to finish the game when we were kids. Now i could probably complete it in 2 hours or so! (all exits). Such a great game.

Although my SNES is still hooked up it will be nice to play it on a HDTV without framemeisters and other things. Just plug in, turn on and play. I think the game selection is good enough and once it's inevitably hacked we will be able to add a few extras. I wonder what Starfox 1/2 will run like. If they somehow manage to make it run smoother than it did on the SNES i might wet myself.

Smyths guys! i don't know if my order glitched but it showed quantity as 2 (i want one to give to my nieces as a present) but i don't know what will happen when i go to collect. "Sorry, you can only have one type of BS".

If you live in Northern Ireland they still have stock. I, like most people, will be waiting for the next wave of pre orders.
  17. I have a Xbox 360 TE stick that I'm using on my PS4 with a 360 to PS4 converter. I wonder if it would work with my existing converter plugged into the PS3/4 to Wii U converter or is that too many converters!?
  18. Overcooked is good but i ended up trading it in as it gets difficult quickly. I tried playing with my cousin who is an active gamer and we struggled after the first few levels. Maybe we're just crap at games.
  19. Puyo Puyo Tetris for Nintendo Switch is on sale for £24.95 for the next 8 hours or until stock lasts. Never ordered from here before but the price is good. http://www.thegamecollection.net/puyo-puyo-tetris-switch/?tduid=2e33880b4c3ef3380976fedb62cc80b8 If you buy through Top Cash Back today you will get an extra £5 back as the're giving £5 for a £20 spend until midnight! Tetris for £20ish, sounds more tempting doesn't it?

  21. This game is crying out for online lobbies. As the matches finish really quickly I wouldn't mind waiting for a go.
  22. Mine has arrived today. Flat packed in an A4 sized carboard flat box. Poster is great
  23. WTF! Do we know exactly what has been balanced? Looks like normal ST to me.
  24. My order from the Nintendo store is estimated to be delivered on Monday Anyone got theirs yet?
