Bosch is quite good. Goliath is excellent.

I just usually end up cutting a larger box down, and it works OK.
-
To that I would also add that it’s worth using bit of bubblewrap inside the game box itself, to avoid bits rattling around and possibly getting damaged.

Also went into Geek Retreat with my son, which is just across the road from Travelling Man. I've never been to a gaming cafe before so didn't know what to expect. It was pretty good actually – the board games are free to play as long as you've bought food or drink, and they had a reasonable selection. We gave Unlock: Mystery Adventures a try, and had an enjoyable hour playing through the House on the Hill scenario, with coffee and cake.

The new Leeds store is a vast improvement on the old one. It's not new as such, it's that they've bought the shop next door and knocked the wall down, so it's now luxuriously spacious.

It's a much better film than the trailer would indicate.

Stuff that appears on your main page is based on what you’ve watched previously.

Steam weekend sale is board games, although most are just “board game-ish” titles. There are some proper ones on there, though.

Latest Humble Book Bundle includes several board game-related titles, including volumes 1 and 2 of Ignacy Trzewiczek's 'Board Games That Tell Stories': https://www.humblebundle.com/books/puzzlecraft-books

Chaos Cards Summer sale Some pretty hefty reductions in there.

I knew the sale was on, so I deliberately avoided going into York at the weekend. I still have far too many games I haven't even got to the table yet. Was there anything else of note that I'd be kicking myself for not snapping up?

Yeah, but death threats because of a game? -
I taught my lad Puerto Rico when he was nine, and he won against Mrs Professor Rob and me on his second game. I must admit though, teaching a five-year-old Fire In The Lake boggles the mind.

I wouldn’t have thought so.

It's been nominated for the Spiel Des Jahres, so I would imagine it's going to be pretty easy to get hold of in the near future.

You got a mention on the latest Heavy Cardboard podcast.

It's certainly better than Munchkin

Anybody know what the schtick is with minis?

Emulation now with less input latency than the real thing.

So more like a “many worlds” interpretation? -
Presumably the rest of the cast and all of the crew were too scared as well. It ruins the scene, because it's a pivotal moment where he's tricking Sean Bean into admitting he was never at Hereford, but shows that his character can't claim to have been there either.

And why does it pronounce it Hear-ford?
