  1. This thread is the only reason I still watch this. I Though I have a bizarre urge to watch Wedlock again for some reason.

Sorry to hear yours went pop. Honestly, stay away from Pi PSU's. I'm using the charger that came with a 8th Gen Kindle Fire 8 and so far touch wood it's not gone wrong. At least Amazon are good with returns, they replaced my first one free of charge and covered the postage. Second one was a full refund. I eventually bought the UK one, but it also gets kid gloves PSU wise! You think someone might have found a fix/solution, but a quick google suggests not
  3. Day 1 for me. I ordered this way before I considered if I wanted a new Xbox or Playstation. Helps it comes out on my actual birthday. Thanks Nintendo!
  4. I hate this show. I hate everything about it. I can't stop watching... I reckon 'The Burn' is short for 'The Burnham' literally destroying Star Trek. The future used to be bright and hopeful.
  5. Spent some more time with this on PS4 tonight. Controls starting to click especially yaw and roll at the same time. I'll be shooting womp rats in Beggars Canyon yet at this rate. I hope there are some bonus missions with Trench runs and the like. Or just sell it me as DLC, they've done a good job, I'll cough up. Not sure I like the TIE support ship, first one I've struggled to find the cockpit elements on. But then I guess it's the first 'new' ship I've flown so far. When I was a boy this was all 2D art and flat shaded polygons
  6. Ah go on then. I'll see if I can find a copy cheap somewhere for PS4.
  7. Is the second much better than the first? I found the handling kind of floaty. I played it a bit before a visit to the real thing and it helped me memorise the course, but in real life you aren't gonna be doing high speeds as it's chock full of traffic! I actually preferred Ride 3, but more for the supermoto stuff. That actually feels closer to riding a bike to me. It has the North West races on it (I think) which I liked. It annoys me that all of these games don't have a chill out mode where you can free roam the course at more sedate speeds. I don't thin
  8. Agree, I've not used the PSVR much since I've had the Quest, but it's much easier to set up and far more comfortable to wear. The Quest and PC have the better models and lighting, but the PS4 version is certainly no poor alternative. If anything I enjoyed it more as I set the controls how I wanted from the off and knew what was coming. Plus started to experiment a bit, I was supposed to be going to hyperspace but I wanted to see if I could take out one of those Imp Cruisers by myself... (I almost did!).
  9. As my works PC sounds like a F14 during play with the fans going full blast, I went and picked up the PS4 version to play on PSVR. Plus people don't creep up on me upstairs unlike last night when I was interrupted from dogfighting with cold hands on the back of my neck... I'm surprised how close it is! The detail is lower but it's nice and nippy and perfectly playable. I'll likely play more on PS4 as the headset is way more comfy than the Quest, plus I'm finding the PS4 pad not quite as twitchy as the (third party) Xbox pad I have plugged into my PC. Actually really imp
  10. Yeah, Elite is fine on a pad. I'd have taken the same controls here where appropriate. I guess they've played so much Battlefront II that they're used to it. At least there are a ton of options so I'll find something that works. It's just a bit, I dunno, twitchy and brainwrong by default. Shame you're having perf issues, maybe turn it off from auto settings in case it's doing something mad with frame limiting? I'm assuming it's Oculus native if it's picking the app up. Saw they're suggesting to run it borderless windowed VS actual fullscreen. I left it at de
  11. Surprised at the stick this is getting in here. I've just dropped out from it after doing the prologue and first story mission and I was loving every minute of it. It's pretty much a modern X-Wing/TIE Fighter, they even have modern versions of the old mission briefings! Gameplay follows that series too, scan enemies, dogfight, take out large ships bit by bit, there are missiles and countermeasures and power management. Even the scanner works the same. The story doesn't seem phoned in, in fact I'm impressed with the production values given the price. Clearly it's had a lot of love poured into i
  12. I picked this up based on the enthusiasm offered here. It's bloody brilliant! I'm a convert. If you are sitting on the fence, don't, this is great videogame fun. Only wish it had co-op play ala Diablo. But that's a minor complaint.
  13. Managed to snag one from Microsoft's site. I folded and went with the X instead of the S in the end. See, they suckered me in and like buying a PC, I just couldn't help myself by 'Oh I'll just upgrade that bit'. Well played MS, I went from being ambivalent to jamming F5 every 5 seconds from 7.30AM.
  14. Can I just say thanks to Darren and all the folks that have replied on buying/stacking Gold and upgrading for a quid. I was debating All Access vs just buying the console out right and seeing if I could find a cheap Gamepass Ultimate Deal. Don't have to ponder that now. I've got three years worth of GPU thanks to the tips. I suppose I can now try Flight Sim out on PC Now all I've got to do is work out if I want the Series S or Series X tomorrow....
  15. For sure, same with Nintendo with the Russian eShop. But just as you can now, as they're not in first place, doesn't mean they won't close this loophole down the line if this changes. I don't want to use the phrase legitimate concern, but... In reality I don't think it's likely, as I say, it'll just push people to their competitors, but we have all seen what happens when one of the platforms holders think that are unassailable.
