  1. I’m saving the original trilogy for last. Managed to break my progress in the prequel trilogy for daring to quit out of a story mission as it looked like the camera was knackered (really tight focus on my character with everything else blurred to incomprehension). Leaving it in the hope a patch will allow me to finish it.
  2. All I need to know is how I get a 2x multiplier.
  3. ROVE from Button Shy is free on pnp arcade during the ROVE expansion Kickstarter. https://www.pnparcade.com/products/rove?_pos=1&_sid=0ccad9274&_ss=r
  4. As part of the Kickstarter, Yacht Club have released a file of all of the treasure trove graphic assets, which can be used under a Creative Commons license. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yachtclubgames/mina-the-hollower/posts/3442745
  5. My first go I use four words that cover 20 letters and then there’s just enough guesses left to mess up once. Daily #9 sedecordle.com
  6. After years of buying board games only for them to languish on the shelf due to lack of time and lack of willing players, my eight year old son has recently started asking to play Escape The Dark Castle every night. It’s like a dream come true. We cheat all the way through and have a great time. Tried a round of Escape The Dark Sector tonight but I’m not familiar with the rules and the combination of trying to read the rules while he demanded to know when the shooting would start meant we made some mistakes. He still enjoyed pew pewing and I’ve now read up on how to play, ready for tomorrow’s session. I hope he keeps this up - I think he’d like Castle Panic too and then it’s hardly any steps from there to Pandemic Legacy, isn’t it? No? What about Jaws Of The Lion? One step at a time, I guess.
  7. It’s ok. Just swap books one and three and the issue will be fixed.
  8. There are loads of print and play solo card games on pnp arcade. A couple of dollars per game, a few bob to get it printed (I use doxdirect). Lots of them are essentially logic puzzles.
  9. How silly is silly? You can get it from Tabletop Gaming magazine issue 54 for £6 plus £7 shipping: https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/Store/Back-Issues/tabletop-gaming/tabletop-gaming-issue-54
  10. Max width is about 20mm. Height is about 33mm, maybe 34mm.
  11. The starlight video with the headless translucent dancers is a nice touch.
  12. I’ve got tickets for Liverpool. So pleased I will get to see AP in the flesh. Maybe Sue Cook will make an appearance.
  13. And don’t forget there’s a pack of track decorations available in exchange for platinum points. I bought the mario pack last week for £70 and have now got a Luigi drifting its way here from Amazon. We’re lucky to have short carpet as we can transfer between rooms to have longer tracks.
  14. It was part of their most recent Kickstarter for Escape the Dark Sector expansions. This is the second or third one they’ve done with an option to get drawn into the game. I don’t think you can order it from them outside of Kickstarter.
  15. Yes it is. They’ve only sent a sample image so far. I get two cards when their latest Kickstarter is finished. You can get one done for the Castle or the Sector, and as any character. I was tempted by the robot from Sector, but that would be very creepy.
  16. My missus paid for me to get a personalised Escape the Dark Castle player card. I’m really pleased with it.

I want more Labo. I don’t know what is left to replicate with cardboard but I’m willing to buy it. Maybe more VR stuff with a strap on helmet and twin joy sticks and a new version of Star Fox.
  19. Have a look at Rhino Hero or Ice Cool. My kids love those, and so do I. Slide Quest interested them for a few days.
  20. I’ve got a spare unopened one in my wardrobe. I really love the 3D effect and would miss having one around. Managed to grab one from Argos before they stopped being sold.
  21. I’ve had an email from DPD/Smyths too, about delivering on Friday. I ordered an S on All Access. DPD don’t have the box yet, so it may be premature. I skipped the last Xbox, and only have a Switch as a TV console, so this will be quite a treat. I think I’ll buy Portal first as it’s been ages since I played that. Then there’s Lego Indiana Jones for free next week. I’ll be making the most of those flops, and no mistake. My decision to get an S was based on my TV being 32” and 1080 years old, and I can’t put the X or PS5 anywhere that would be safe from domestic terrors. The S will hide on a shelf behind some board games and with no need to put in a disc, it’s fine for it to be inaccessible.
  22. Smyths is working for Series S all access if anyone is interested. I’ve ordered one without any troubles.
