Just listened all the way though, I really like it. It's a nice change of pace but still with that scuba touch. Good shit!

Only just got round to listening to this, I'm well impressed! I'm not one for full on stuff that much any more but this really knocked my socks off, the sheer number of tracks mixed too is very impressive; mad skills.
  3. Change of plan from Glade by the looks of it, think I'll be going to Boom festival in Portugal.. it looks so chilled out! Has anyone been before?
  4. Glade, if Bash pulls his finger out of his arse and decides if he want's to go with me

Just a quick heads up about the new ASC EP (TMA-1), it's really deep and pretty techy; right up my street! ::This contains previews of all the tracks, but the first one TMA-1 is my favourite:: http://soundcloud.com/spacecadets/sets/nasa003-asc/

Some sick releases form Design and Bass recently!
  9. Not bad abb, I like Through Your Eyes quite a bit too.. it doesnt strike me as a hugely memorable EP but a nice listen non the less. The Flashbulb's new album "Opus At The End Of Everything" is out on the 10th of Feb, I'm very excited indeed as he's my all time favourite artist He's already released two tracks off the album, they sound very interesting. I love the fact all of Benn's albums vary in style so much but you can still tell that the music is his. http://theflashbulb.bandcamp.com/track/precisely-wrong http://theflashbulb.bandcamp.com/track/terra-firma-album-version
  10. Just a quick heads up that I've posted up my camera gear in the for sale folder HERE, in case any of you miss it. There is an 8GB CF flash card, Canon 50mm f1.8 and a 20D bundle up for sale
  11. Well I did it, I bought a GF-2 with the 14mm lens for £279.. I'll play around with it for a bit and look out for a 14-45mm on the cheap in the mean time. I'm sure it will cater for all my needs, will let you know how I get on. I'll be putting my 20D with kit lens, carry case, and 8GB card up for sale tomorrow and I'll also have a 50mm f1.8 for sale too.. just need to figure out prices.
  12. The GF-1 is a hell of a lot cheaper (at a glance), but I quite like the idea of a touch screen and a warranty if I buy a new one.. I'm going to ponder over it for a bit and see if I find any prices that really grab me. I could probably sell my SLR and lens and make money on it if I buy a GF1, I'm just really unsure what lens to get as it'll be used for a lot of portrait photos on nights out and wide angle shots in the countryside.. I want to try and keep it compact though.. blah. Might go for a GF-1 with 20mm lens and get an extra 14-45 for when I go out and about.. hmm hmmm hmmmmmm!
  13. That's interesting to know! Really I need to hold one and use it a bit before I go buying anything, I might see it and instantly not like it.. I just need something more compact as my Canon isn't getting used as much as my shitty Kodak point and click, so there is something quite obviously wrong
  14. Well after looking about a bit since my last post and reading reviews I think I'm going to go for a GF2 with the 14mm lens, unless anyone has anything else to input? They are going for £298.99 in Currys so I'm going to go and have a look at one tomorrow morning I reckon Just one thing I'm not crystal on is what lenses fit these cameras, I'm not sure what fitting to search for!
  15. Hello folks, I've kind of been absent from the photography part of the forum since starting at uni. I've not really had the time to use the SLR and I'm kinda thinking of getting rid of it for something more compact as I don't use my SLR due to bulkiness. I'm currently using a Canon 20D with various lenses, but what I'm looking for is something more compact that also does video. It will mainly used for nights out, gigs and the odd landscape photo/climbing photo, is there anything that springs to mind in the £350 bracket (I'm ok with second-hand and cheaper the better tbh). I still want decent photos so I'm not really prepared to go down the £100 point and click route basically. I hope that makes sense and that someone can help me, or at least point me in the right direction! Thanks
  16. I didn't really feel this belonged in the Dubstep topic so thought I would bung it here.. Has anyone listened to much Balam Acab? I've been following his music for quite some time now and it appears to me he's getting quite popular! I really dig his emotional pitched up vocals and swishy-underwater-bass, he's fast becoming one of my top 5 artists of the year (last year, whatever!!) Balam Acab - Under (does have 720p) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXQcz-wwfTg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ysq6ikJhDdg If you like what you hear grab his album "Wander,Wonder", it's quite magical. On a more ambient/electronica note I'd also like to express my love of Secede, I've been a lover of electronic music for quite some time now but this guy managed to slip the net for some reason. I'm massively into Kettel, The Flashbulb, Emancipator, Wisp and the likes and to hear Secede has just been a breath of fresh air for me even though his last album was released 7 years ago! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmdEsp9fBD4 Yeah yeah, it's all old news I know but if someone happens to of not heard of these guys before and they like them then my work here is done!

Fantastic track, although hearing stuff by Ruckspin just gives me flashbacks of when I saw him on my birthday a few years ago, christ I was fucked up that night

Does anyone know if the Arrietty UK release will feature the English Audio? I quite like the English audio when it is done well, Saoirse Ronan is supposed to be featured in this one which I'm quite keen to hear. When I look at the features on the DvD it doesn't mention English only Japanese with English subs

I wouldn't of said that would make you a hipster, more of an elitist.. I try not to think like this but it is hard when a genre you love gets buggered sideways. I think that's why I get on with IDM so much as it'll never get too mainstream, for example I was listening to Secede in the kitchen the other week and my flat mates called it whale music which suits me fine to be honest hah

I am suffering the same problem, I started uni this year and when people ask what music I like I just say "electronic" it's much easier than explaining everything

I just follow my fave DJs on soundcloud and usually new sets pop up now and again!
  22. this week I cooked a Christmas dinner with a friend for a table of 8, we're all going back to our home towns tomorrow so decided we would have a fake Christmas day! We provided beers and mulled wine for everyone, the food was as follows: Starter: Prawn cocktail Main: Turkey Pigs in blankets Pork stuffing Roast parsips, carrots and potatoes Boiled sprouts Candied sweet potatoes (first time we tried them and they are amazing) Yorkshire puds Gravy made with the Turkey stock Afters: Homemade trifle Cheese board Pretty standard I guess barring the candied sweet potatoes which turned out to be a winner, the mulled wine was a new thing for me too didn't realise we drank 4 bottles worth of mulled wine - yummy!I feel like I've achieved something cooking all that, shame I wont get to do it again on Christmas day there is no way my mother and nan will let me in the kitchen If my friend puts his pictures up any time soon I'll post one as I'm pretty proud of it. I hope you all have fun cooking and enjoying the results!

You see the problem with that DJ Spin track is that all of it sounds like an intro to me, I'm waiting for a drop of some kind and it just doesn't happen. Still can't get into this footwork stuff other than that Kuedo album.
  25. I've always enjoyed cooking so I've started to try my hand at baking. Nothing too adventurous yet, baked various cookies and flapjacks. Also made quite a few super nice baked blueberry cheesecakes and today I made a nice marble sponge cake, god I love baking I highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake (or any baked cheesecakes) they are the tits.
