I can't decide if I want Lego Dimensions, I've seen the starter set at Smyths (with Supergirl) for £30 and it's tempting me. Is it worth getting? As someone who has enjoyed the other Lego games is this likely to be worth it?

I pre-ordered this mainly because I wanted to play the remaster of MW. After playing an hour on the beta I think I'm out. It really didn't click with me, I've always preferred the Warfare series over BLOPS but IW just feels to be veering towards the (bad bits of) BLOPS. I might go over to Battlefield for the first time

It's digital, not a DVD

I actually have the DVDs that are free to a good home. I've got S1 on region 2 the rest are region 1. My sister in law bought me the complete region 2 box set last Christmas so I've had the region 1 bits kicking around doing nothing if anyone can play them/wants them?

Must be a different version in Canada

I'm presenting this work at HCI International today, for those that are interested you can have a look at the accompanying paper here: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=0ROfDAAAQBAJ&pg=PA3&lpg=PA3&dq=user+identification+using+games+buckley&source=bl&ots=VYCs9fPeIO&sig=nKtHwoTF0k4Eu2pDzrGPQnV26EY&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjfhaCzuofOAhVE94MKHSgFCM4Q6AEILDAC#v=onepage&q=user identification using games buckley&f=false Again thanks to everyone who pitched in. I may do some follow up work in the future...

I've just noticed Sky Atlantic are showing Things to do in Denver When You're Dead, tonight. I've not seen or thought about that in ages. Buckwheats

Yeah I just saw that. I'm not holding much hope for getting into any panels. The closing panel is the one I really wanted to see but at least they're doing a video stream into a couple of other rooms so I'm hoping I can get in there.

Game of Thrones - No Book Chat. NONE. The Books don't exist.

This is like the GoT equivalent of 'Messi is great, but could he do it on a wet Wednesday at Stoke?' -
Garfield was a great Spider-man let down by a shoddy script, he seemed to nail the tone perfectly. The chemistry between Garfield and Emma Stone was very good, much more convincing than Tobey Macguire and Kirsten Dunst.

I liked it a lot, incredibly tense and well acted by the three leads. -

I really enjoyed it on the strength of Ralph Fiennes and Channing Tatum alone. Is there anything that Tatum can't do? -
No it doesn't

I think I may have read a paper on that when I was kicking the idea around. Were you involved with that at all?
-
Yes, this is all academic research. I think I've got it somewhere on the information/sign up form, but it's fairly hidden away, I'm with Cranfield University.

Just a reminder that this is still active, and you are more than welcome to submit multiple games to the study.

I've started playing (and enjoying) Heroes vs Villains mode recently, it's given me a good chance to have a bash at being all of the different characters although I can't help feeling that the villains are stronger than the heroes for the most part.

I'd have liked Leia to stroke my tortoise like that.

I can't say too much because I don't want to bias the study while I'm still collecting data. The elevator pitch is that I'm looking to determine identifying behaviours in the way people play games and Tetris is a good start point because the board and states are fairly easy to codify. Once I've closed the experiment I'll come and update with abut more detail on the specifics I'm looking at and where it my go in the future.
-
A cheque? You get to play Tetris that's a reward in itself. Thanks for all of the people who've had a go so far, very much appreciated. I'm running the data collection until the 24th January so there's still plenty of time to have a go, also if you have friends/work colleagues/family who might be interested pleased pass them the link. I'll try and get a rllmuk phrase into the final paper as a reward.

Thank you everyone, sorry it's a bit rough and ready it's pretty much a proof of concept at present but hopefully I'll be able to expand it in the future. I'll be sure to post a copy of the research when it's done.

What's hold? I don't remember that from the Gameboy
