So you think that games retail is unchanged from wenty years ago? Whatever. We aren't going to agree. Things will not change. When you are badly paid and given no motivation (other than from yourself) then you can't expect good things from staff. If staff were given a good wage, things would of course be totally different. At £5 an hour, I see their attitude as excuseable.

You also get paid £5 an hour to do the job well. You get paid £5 an hour to do the job adequately.

The industry has changed a lot in twenty years - you know that. Retial has also changed. I can see your standpoint on work ethic - but very few teenagers think the way you do. I do not see how you can possibly think that working in retail now is the same as 20 years ago.

If you were working in GAME five days a week for £5 an hour, I think your opinion would be very different. I also doubt that the game shop you worked in 20 years ago has any resemblance to the Game stores of today... I would never ever want to work in a shop like Game. If you can't enjoy what you do, then you shouldn't do it. As I wouldn't enjoy the job, I would never work to the best of my ability. Not that working in retial requires much of that.

They are just kids. If you know it, then you shouldn't have to ask. If they fuck up - big deal. Not the end of the world. Lets be realistic here. If you worked in Game, would you give a shit? I know I wouldn't.

I work in a mountain bike shop. I know most things, but far from all. If a customer brings me their broken wheel and I think the hub is shagged, I will tell them that, but get a second opinion as well. I could be wrong, it’s the customers money - may as well check. Just making something up isn't a good idea, it just leads to problems later when someone who does understand the issue sees that you have fucked up. It is though, totally idiotic for anyone to expect teenagers in retail to know everything about every single product in a store.

The main running problem with the DC is the power connectors and dry solder joints on some of the boards - both are easy enough to fix. I think you are taking out of your arse. But there you go.

Sega had a shit business model that would never generate any revenue. The console lacked third party support and games that could actually sell the machine to the masses. Nintendo has a profit making business model and does generate lots of cash from both the GameCube and the GameBoy. While lacking many third party titles, the big ones still seem to make it over, and Nintendo's games still generate high sales. Nintendo are not a force to "fight" Sony, but they are still however a profit making company with respectable hardware sales. Thats the long and short of it, really.

I would take an AES cart over any of those options, for the simple fact that it is an AES cart. If its just about playing games then why aren't you all downloading your Xbox and PS2 games, or popping down the market for them? You are afterall still playing them aren't you?

Cheapness doesn't make something better.

I have never paid £300 for an AES game, you should never need to spend over £180 unless you are going for something really special. Added to the fact that so many MVS games aren't the real deal, I know which format I would stick to.

Kawak on Xbox plays these games at full speed? Are you quite sure? I mean, I know that it can play most, but the heavy action ones are just a bit too much aren't they? If so, Xbox is a bunch of gay and you should get an AES anyway
