Yeah, it's a fair point I was surprised how much energy mine was using but also surprised no one else mentioned it either. When I got my first plasma it was just me in a flat, now I have kids and loads of xboxes etc and with energy prices as they are now it's something I've thought about more I guess. They still have a good picture, great motion and really black blacks. It's just a shame they use so much and heat up the house

How about if the old sets use way more power like my nuclear powered plasma? I haven’t replaced it yet and realised this evening that Amazons sale thing is coming up soon but surely an argument can me made for replacing old power hungry screens with newer more efficient ones?

It's solid which was my main concern - the bottom section is metal and quite sturdy, the top is some thickish plastic/acrylic. I didn't want to spend loads as it was a bit of a side project but was more than satisfied with the bits for the cost.

It can with a square gate but there was an octagonal one in the box too to swap if needed. The stick seems fine, I’ve had no issues with it, I got it in January.

We have a 1080p plasma in the playroom but I’m going to replace it as the spec says it’s 505w and it turns out the running costs are a bit high! For the OP, the plasma moved to the playroom to make way for the LG OLED and yeah, it’s amazing. I also got a 1440p monitor for a series s and I do notice a difference between that and the one that’s connected to the plasma. It has HDR too (not a brilliant implementation but still decent) and the refresh rate is great too. I do prefer playing on the monitor or oled because it looks and feels nicer

Yeah, this or nothing. Mame 2003 is great. I have loads of versions and for convenience the Switch version included with Bubble Bobble 4 is good but high scores don't persist. Bubble Bobble 4 itself is absolutely terrible though so only go this route if it's dirt cheap like I did or if you want the portability. Get to level 20 without dying and report back here pls.

I beat Malenia, Blade of Miquella in Elden Ring at Easter but got covid (not from her) so didn't feel like playing for a bit. Never gone back to it. Annoying. I'll definitely struggle with the controls if I go back now and won't have a clue what I'm meant to be doing.

I saw a bit of playthrough of this last night on Twitch, enough to grab my attention so when I saw the tile on the xbox dashboard clicked on it. And yeah, £65! No chance

I noticed I had £8 earlier and was trying to work out where it came from. Checked my payment history etc, checked messages and emails from MS in case it was promotional but nothing. Then about 10 mins back the message came through. Weird.
