  1. I am but became really frustrated when trying to do a diagonal two-way slash thing with the sword using the stylus. It just won't recognise it and therefore I keep getting battered by spiders. Am I missing something obvious? When I touch that tiny button that shows how to do the best attack, I do it and nothing happens?!

    Fucking hard work that.
  3. Kernow - when's the next vinyl fair in Exeter? You going?
  4. As someone who's never played a Dark Souls game I'm intrigued. Does it play a bit like the Monster Hunter series? Is it something that is accessible to get into? Also, is it a game you can you dip in and out of, as I won't have long periods where I can play.

  6. Sounds a bit emo for Omar doesn't it?
  7. Ok, well I managed to put about 4 hours into this, this evening. To be honest I'm a bit underwhelmed. This thread made it sound like it was a terrifying game that constantly kept you on edge. So far I've basically seen a few enemies that disappear once I go round the corner, then when I got to Storage there was one guy that could hurt me if I moved around too much but generally as long as I crouched down and looked at a wall he passed me by. I'm supposed to be looking for elevator parts at the moment but I'm struggling to keep interested. Are there more enemies and different scenery other than castle walls?
  8. Right then, since I've just bought a new graphics card I've decided this will be the perfect way to test it out. This game sounds right up my street and for £12.99 it would be rude not to. Roll on tomorrow, when the wife is out of the house and I can experience this in the dark with the speakers up!! Right?
  9. My 6th year into this and I'm starting to get a grip on things. Quick question though- do more buildings, amenities etc open up after a certain amount of time? I can't help thinking it must be a bit dull once everything has been built?
  10. Finally got my new Project turntable set up this evening and whilst the wife is out I'm relaxing to Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me. One of my favourite albums <3
  11. Thanks, I will look out for a cheap copy and give it a go
  12. Has anyone got Harvest Moon: A New Beginning? Would they recommend it?
  13. Really pissed off at this Does RF3 compare or is it a lot worse? Might have to get HM:ANB then instead.
  14. When are we expecting Rune Factory 4 to be out in the UK?
  15. ..aaaaand done! What a wonderful charming Zelda that was. It's the first Zelda I've bothered to complete since OoT on the N64. Seriously - everytime I started one of the others I just lost interest. This one was just a nostalgia fest the whole way through with fantastic music, lots to do and everything felt so natural and smooth. Loved it. Even after completing Lorule Castle I went back and made sure to complete my gear screen. Every space filled on my gear screen, all 4 ores, 86 MaiMais and 18 heart containers. Should I bother to try and 100% it? I'm sad it's over
  16. Got my copy from Amazon this morning but don't want to settle down and play it until I get some sustained wife-free time. Need to soak it in properly!
  17. I was so close to pulling the trigger on this however having read the eurogamer review I'm a bit hesitant. Alttp for me was all about the exploration and excitement of discovering new areas, characters etc. Are most of these things in the same place?
  18. Thanks, I will have a look into those. It's my favourite book and is my reason for looking for similar!
  19. Not too sure of what I'm after but bear with me! I've always enjoyed books that have their foundations in simpler times (think Poirot, chesterfields and good manners) and generally settings that hint at opulence and extravagance. I'm probably being a bit too vague but would love recommendations of books that can indulge is side of me! Could be a crime thriller or focus on family relationships...whatever really!
