  2. Bought this after reading the Eurogamer review and it's probably my favorite DS game ever. I really enjoy learning the ins and outs of the airports and optimizing my strategy for each shift. Every level is fully scripted (sequence of arriving planes are always the same, weather is always the same) which makes it possible to work towards a perfect run. Of course, minor changes in your strategy will result in completely different challenges further down the line always requiring you to stay sharp and be inventive with your solutions. Marvelous game and a 10/10 as far as I'm concerned. Only thing to make it better would be a score-attack mode where the shift doesn't end and you play until you make a mistake or max out the stress.
  3. Well, the reviews for Bioshock that I've seen were mostly positive. The Assasin's Creed review on Eurogamer is pretty damning. Sounds like a 5/10 at a push. They basically say it has good graphics but it's annoying, frustrating and extremely boring.
  4. They must have a lot of 360s in stock that they can't shift if they're starting to offer deals like that.
  5. Why is this getting such high scores? I've rarely read a more negative review than that and then they slap a 7/10 at the end of it. Weird.
  6. Why not use a credit card? My location is set to Kentucky and I use my Austrian credit card without any problems.
  7. What ever happened to the Impossible Mission remake? Wasn't that supposed to come out for Wii Ware?
  8. It’s crazy. If you buy a 60GB PS3 now you’ll feel gutted because you’re stuck with two out-of-date controllers come next spring. On the other hand, if you wait until the Dual Shock 3 makes it to Europe, you’ll most definitely miss out on backward compatibility because the 60GB one will have sold out by then. The conclusion for me: don’t buy a PS3 until they come to their senses and offer a fully backward compatible PS3 with Dual Shock 3 for a reasonable price.
  9. Famitsu counts the two Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games as one, Media Create lists them separately. That's why Halo 3 is #1 in one chart and #2 in the other.
  10. I have a question for all of you who are already playing it: do snipers and boss battles feature in Halo 3 and are they as annoying as in Halo 2?
  11. What a shame. I was looking forward to this game.
  12. Nonsense. US figures: PlayStation2 39.050.765 Xbox 14.500.480 Gamecube 11.769.728 How does that constitute a two-way fight between PS2 and Xbox? Edit: Europe seems to be similar, PS2 40+ vs Xbox 7 vs GC 4
  13. The list of the Top 30 best selling PS2 games in Japan according to vgcharz tells a different story: 1 Dragon Quest VIII PS2 Enix 3,609,295 2 Final Fantasy X PS2 Square 2,734,784 3 Final Fantasy XII PS2 Square 2,326,608 4 Final Fantasy X-2 PS2 Square 2,111,206 5 Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec PS2 Sony 1,868,963 6 Dragon Quest V (Remake) PS2 Enix 1,645,661 7 World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 PS2 Konami 1,610,420 8 Everybodys Golf 3 PS2 Sony 1,382,698 9 World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 PS2 Konami 1,157,452 10 Dynasty Warriors 4 PS2 Koei 1,132,227 11 World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 PS2 Konami 1,128,178 12 Kingdom Hearts II PS2 Square 1,116,782 13 World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 PS2 Konami 1,115,586 14 Gran Turismo 4 PS2 Sony 1,096,575 15 Onimusha PS2 Capcom 1,085,272 16 Dynasty Warriors 3 PS2 Koei 1,071,230 17 Samaurai Warriors PS2 Koei 1,062,910 18 Onimusha 2 PS2 Capcom 1,058,142 19 World Soccer Winning Eleven 10 PS2 Konami 1,049,727 20 Kingdom Hearts PS2 Square 942,882 21 Dynasty Warriors 5 PS2 Koei 905,934 22 Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs Zion DX PS2 Bandai 883,565 23 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty PS2 Konami 844,165 24 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater PS2 Konami 815,507 25 Tales of Destiny 2 PS2 Namco 796,014 26 Gran Turismo 4 Prologue PS2 Sony 770,728 27 Taikou Drum Master PS2 Namco 759,946 28 Ridge Racer V PS2 Namco 752,675 29 Yakuza PS2 Sega 739,086 30 Dynasty Warriors 3 Mushoden PS2 Koei 735,250 That's an incredibly conservative list of titles. PS3 needs big hits and they are not coming this year.
  14. Is this game any good? It's play asia's weekly special and can be had for US$ 30. Worth it?
  15. I'd be willing to give it another try if a Wii version materializes especially if they improve the text speed of the unskippable cut scenes. I've started the PS2 version a week ago and gave up after a few hours. The beginning is just so mindbogglingly boring I couldn't bring myself to continue. When I got Twilight Princess at the Wii's launch I played it for 60 hours straight and wasn't bored for a minute. I'm not ruling out that Okami might be better than Zelda, but from what I've seen so far (not much, admittedly) it's highly unlikely.
  16. I think I'm getting too old for videogames. It seems like developers continue to make the same stupid mistakes again and again and I'm just fed up with it. WHY in this day and age do I have to sit through 30 minutes of unskippable inane ramblings about some incredibly boring fantasy story? WHY? And why, after 10 minutes of letting me play the game, do they insist on putting me through more boring dialogue that I can neither skip nor speed up. Life's too short for that kind of shit. And why do I have to bring sake to that 'warrior' dude to make him tackle the big rock if I am the one who cuts it in half in the end? Why wasn't I allowed to do that myself in the first place? I hope this gets much better real quick
  17. Hmm I seem to remember playing that for a bit back in the winter of 92\93. My memory is a bit hazy but I don't think I ever got anywhere with that game, seemed a bit pointless really. Didn't all the planets wear cowboy hats or something? Bizarre. Don't know if it's worth 25 bucks to be honest. My favourite space exploration / resource management game of that era is Millennium 2.2 (for Amiga? or C64? can't remember?). Damn I'm getting old
  18. Fuck. Wii Fit the big game of the show? Well, I guess it kinda makes sense - in an 'expanding the audience' kind of way. They don't care that much about 'core gamers' anymore I guess.
  19. Mario looks good. Out this year too
  20. I wonder what happened to that music conductor game
