  1. Happy XC3 release day all. For those thrilled with my rip roaring adventure of ‘which bricks and mortar’ shop will be able to sell it to.me this morning… It seems sainsburys / Argos DOES have it in where i live, Curry’s (closer) was listing it as ‘stock sent to shop’ but this morning their website doesn’t seem to show them having anything of anything (this or any other games)… Ahh the excitement of which to pick* *tremendous annoyance. P.S. The film rights to this story ARE staggeringly still available.
  2. @Stanley normally yes but typically when i logged on i saw delivery has been changed to Saturday the swines. Thanks for the Argos tip ill take a look for that. Ditto thanks @Alan Stock
  3. Utterly beyond excited now thanks to the reviews. I’d say 1&2 sit alongside Dragon Quest 11 as my favourite JRPG’s of the modern age. Even though with 2 the combat system took me about 3 YouTube tutorials to fully master. This is going to be a glorious weekend’s gaming. Although thanks Amazon so glad I preordered months ago for you to now bother delivering on Saturday. I think I’ll have to go digital then. Does anywhere actually sell physical games any more? Like would an Argos have this? The Game near where I live shut down forever a go. And ideally I;d want to buy this physically to complete the set.
  4. What an odd experience I’ve had with this. Until this year I’d never have thought about picking up something that I knew was ‘git gud’ but after taking a punt on Souls on PS5 I got the bug and went through Nioh 2 and Sekiro, finished all and loved them. A whole world of learning the game opened up to me, and I finally got the appeal. So figured this would be for me. On my third ‘go’ I smashed through the first biome and with a spaceman killed Shrike first time. Died a bit of the way through Biome 2. Great stuff thought I, ’not that hard’ This is brilliant. I now realise I must have on my 3rd attempt got a god roll RNG on everything. Because I cannot for the life of me even get to the 2nd biome boss. And 30 odd deaths later I’m not sure I’ve in anyway learned anything. I just end up being overwhelmed normally by jumping sword git inside the building. And I just find the amount of time it takes to get back there just joy sapping for me. Sekiro is hard as hell (or at least it was for me) but I felt I was learning how to beat it. Whereas I just don’t get that same vibe from this. I guess the other soulsbourne games don’t require twitch reflexes rather just learning attack patterns, and I guess placement of mobs. With this the random factor it seems my feeble brain can’t cope with nor my fingers and thumbs. And the time spent in Biome 1 to level up just feels like work to me now as I know I'll likely meet a sticky end after 30 odd mins. Shame as I loved it to begin with… adore the setting and totally get how others are loving it. But progressively the novelty has worn off for me, and the thought of endlessly going through the same 1 and 3/4 locations (albeit slightly moved around) just isn't for me. Maybe I'll be inspired to return(al) one day but not I think for a while.
  5. Well this is as joyful as I’d hoped. I’ve done nothing but Sekiro (love the post above) Demon Souls and Nioh 2 this year to this is a nice change of tone!! Albeit just as git gud. Had a lovely few hours with Randoms yesterday evening mopping up 2* quests. Are there clubs / guilds in this for rllmuk play? Would love to do it with a gang.

    NIOH 2

Not terrific per se (Celeste for example annoys the hell out of me because I’m rubbish at it) but my issue was normally impatience. With Souls I learned to learn if that makes sense and not just try and bum rush everything ending in disaster.

    NIOH 2

How hard / controller wall throwing is this? I’ve just beaten Dark Souls on PS5 and am very keen to try something else, and always fancied the look of this but had originally bounced off the PS3 version of Dark Souls so wrote Nioh off as being too tricky. Now I’ve beaten Souls I wonder if this could be for me but not if it’s staggeringly tricky!
  8. And finished last night. Finally clicked with a Soulsborne game! I imported this back in the day on PS3 but never got on with it (I think I had approximately zero idea what the hell was going on not sure I even got past Phalanx. BB I bought, bounced off then picked back up some years later but got suck on a boss and never went back. This however just finally clicked for me. I'm now barreling through NG+ and think this may be up with Mario 64 and Halo as my favourite launch game ever.
  9. Hello all can I ask a question. I've fallen down a reddit shaped rabbit hole about my new PC build (first one in a decade). I've got the parts ready for a new build with 5600x processor all I lack is a graphics card (insert your discord tales of woe here). IF any of them were / are ever in stock again in our lifetimes, Is the 3080 worth it over the 3060? I've luckily just snagged myself a PS5, so this is really for what I'd crudely term 'proper' PC games (your classic lovely strategy / RPG's etc) that a console can't do. And while I'd love to play Cyberpunk at ALL THE RESOLUTION (and I really, really would) I've got a shiny ray tracing console that can do a fair whack of that. My aspiration for machine would be to play in lovely 2k. What say you rllmuk? Is it worth the massive price increase?
  10. Well that was a one of the great poo's off all times! Just sat down phone in hand discord alert came up somehow snagged one off Amazon. I've tried to get one via discord for so long (both on PS5 and the Nvidia GFX cards) so many times, but always just missed out. Today however my bowels won it. And THAT wife, is why it always pays to bring your mobile into the toilet with you (she won't be impressed with either of these pieces of information).
  11. Oh buggering hell. of COURSE work had to call a (pointless) zoom meeting at 2pm... of course they did. Much as I tried to order the 5600x it had all gone by the time tedious people who like the sound of their own voice had finished. GAH!!!! oh well hope they'll get more in soon. Please....
  12. Where does Muk recommend for PC components these days? I failed miserably getting a 3070 but I want to try my luck tomorrow
  13. Ha!! Done and with a pad and two left fingers... highly unlikely!
  14. Hello All, added the people that were on the page 1 google list but seems not to have lots of the people still involved in the thread if there are people not on there, just picked this up and would love / really appreciate some time trial friends! name : AphexTim
  15. Somewhere between Zelda, Animal Crossing and World of Warcraft.
  16. Seconded. It's utterly great and been criminally overlooked IMHO.
  17. Granted i got my Kinect 'free' when i bought a day one console, but it is quite cool for the TV. You can just walk into the room say 'xbox on' and boom the TV's turned on, and playing TV channels. Not sure i'd necessarily buy one on its own for that privilege, but it is pretty sweet. You can also change volume and channels pretty easily from the sofa just by calling it out. Novelty still hasn't worn off for me. Although saying that the media remote is of course much more useful for actually changing channels!
  18. It's really good the TV tuner. Works flawlessly, nice UI and you can set the XBone to play TV by default when you switch it on, which is a nice feature if it's in the living room and you have others who might not be as shall we say technologically minded. Turn it on and there's telly there. Only downer is you can't record anything, but you can pause. And of course you've got all the catch up apps (besides ITV's bizarre omission on most platforms) to view anything you missed.
  19. Picked one of these up yesterday in a moment of madness. God it's lovely. Isn't it? Lovely. Extremely. Mario Kart's sublime, picked up Mario 3D and Skyward sword as well. I have nothing to add to this other than it's put a big silly grin on my face all of yesterday and today. Have slowly been through and added some people. If anyone fancies adding me for MK fun NNID is SuperTimtendo64. Also - Smash Bros. Is it good? Should I buy? I've never played one before but from what i've seen it gives off a slight Powerstone vibe which I used to love.
  20. Just to say cheers to Yoshimax for the HDD recommendation - arrived today. Works flawlessly, tons of space now i've copied everything across, and it's silent. It's gone up now by a tenner on Amazon, but I hearitly recommend if you're struggling for space as I was. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ILALU9G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
  21. The wood vendor right below the workshop building sells it.
  22. Not tried the 598's, but rally cannot say enough good things about the X1's. Also they're great as a gaming set because you can easily replace the 3.5mm lead for a shorter one (rather than the 3m it comes with. I got a 1m (for about £8) so there's no extra lead hanging around. And more importantly the sound is just the more i've used them the more my ears love them. Was playing The Evil Within last night, and it was like being in a cinema!
  23. It's in Crestwood if memory serves correctly.
  24. Gah! How did I forget Rime from my list. Looks utterly utterly glorious.
  25. Bone for me. More comfortable, a little more solid, and the rumble triggers in particular have made a big difference, playing a racer on anything else seems weird. Oh and it doesn't have that stupid bloody light (a great friend for those with reflective TV screens) What's that? I can change the colour? WHY WOULD I POSSIBLY CARE??? Only element PS4's wins IMHO is the on board headphone jack as standard which was a touch of genius.
