  1. Found a bug in multiplayer where I couldn’t launch the sad or stealth bomber, could move around and aim but not fire. So you’d have to wait 30 seconds for you to put the screen away
  2. Thank you. Not the most intuitive menu system ever!
  3. Where do I find ground war? edit to add, I’m enjoying this, it looks and sounds amazing, but where are the challenges? It doesn’t feel quite finished
  4. Not happy about the lack of hardcore. Are there any challenges apart from the daily ones?
  5. Mine has arrived, first impressions are great. Enjoying Sonic CD and Final Fight, Night Trap and Sewer Shark are showing their age and the resolution is shocking. They felt fairly groundbreaking 29 years ago, Night Trap especially like the six button controller
  6. When it’s currencies devaluing against the dollar driving the increase, you’d expect the US price to hold firm. Though they’re not immune to inflation at present either.
  7. Mine has been delivered - yay Wife has put it away until Christmas - FFS
  8. I’ve ordered mine tonight, though won’t get it until Christmas. I haven’t gamed on a computer since my Spectrum, I’ve been consoles all the way since then. Mini OTF has her own gaming laptop which has her Steam account on it, so we can do some family sharing. I’m pretty excited. Will get some emulators for it, also looking forward to plundering the PC back catalogue that’s never been available to me.
  9. Can’t ever remember a console price increase before. Prices cuts aplenty, some pretty rapid (I’m looking at you N64 and Xbox), but never an increase Sign of the times, the pound and euro are being creamed by the dollar
  10. Sad news. A great artist who gave an identity to the two most important magazines to me in childhood
  11. The Miyoo mini is great. not sure I’ll bother with Onion, I’ve got the 32x and Mega CD up and running in Retroarch, got to play Sonic CD for the first time in decades on Saturday night! I’ll spend a bit of time curating the games I want, get some GBC on there because I think they’ll look great on the screen and then take it from there.
  12. My Miyoo has arrived, it’s pretty awesome straight out of the box. Lost myself in GB Tetris for a bit. will set up a card with Onion tonight and compare, but first impressions are very good. that screen…
  13. Tracking says I’ll have my Miyoo tomorrow, can’t wait!
  14. The 2+ sounds better than mine. It was infuriating to set up, though performs well now. Can be hit and miss with some roms, especially mame. The built in N64 emulator is much better than retroarch. looked at the RG 351V, I’m hoping the Miyoo will keep me going until the next gen when we can get into Dreamcast properly and hopefully GC.
  15. Just ordered a white one! I’ve got the Retroid Pocket 2, which is good but a bit of a faff, hoping this is a bit more straightforward
  16. I went to buy a Miyoo from the official store and they don’t appear to be selling anything. Droix are out of stock too
  17. I went digital within about a year of getting my Xbox one and haven’t looked back. I can’t imagine buying another Xbox or PS disc. I buy, largely, Nintendo carts as we’ve three switches in the house and we share games between us.
  18. I remember the Streethawk debacle where Ocean had to put a game out to satisfy the orders placed with catalogues. There may have been another tie in they did similar with. Its fair to say in the 8bit days some licensed games were great, and ocean in particular built an empire on them, and some where incredibly cynical rushed out efforts.
  19. Oh my days, I forgot Space Harrier earlier. Every time I get a new drive to run roms on, a Pi or an Retro Pocket, it’s always amongst the first I play, just for the music and the memories it triggers.
  20. Nothing will ever beat the experience of days at the seaside and playing the full deluxe cabinets of outrun, hang on and afterburner
  21. Keep COD as it is, put MW2 multiplayer for series x on GP, 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos and they’ll have me forever
