  1. The RP2 was an absolute ball ache to set up. Good when you get it going.
  2. You can get one shot kills with SMGs in Tier 1, which makes longshots a lot easier to achieve
  3. Is there a good headset option for the Deck. I think I’m testing my wife’s patience as I’m gaming from the sofa…
  4. Bought RRU thanks to this thread. Incredible value, great first impressions.
  5. There are plenty of steam games available cheaper at cd keys compared to the steam store. If I buy Elden ring on cd keys and enter the code, am I getting the same deck friendly version as if I’ve bought in the steam store?
  6. This really is a wonderful piece of kit. Played an hour of Doom Eternal and can’t believe what I’ve got on a handheld. And it kept me warm! Then a good session of Portal and Portal 2. I’ve never had a gaming PC, have always been a console player, but this has been a very easy transition so far.
  7. Got mine today, a few weeks early! Delighted so far. Can anybody recommend a good memory card, I expected to max out the storage quickly!
  8. Found a bug in multiplayer where I couldn’t launch the sad or stealth bomber, could move around and aim but not fire. So you’d have to wait 30 seconds for you to put the screen away
  9. Thank you. Not the most intuitive menu system ever!
  10. Where do I find ground war? edit to add, I’m enjoying this, it looks and sounds amazing, but where are the challenges? It doesn’t feel quite finished
  11. Not happy about the lack of hardcore. Are there any challenges apart from the daily ones?
  12. Mine has arrived, first impressions are great. Enjoying Sonic CD and Final Fight, Night Trap and Sewer Shark are showing their age and the resolution is shocking. They felt fairly groundbreaking 29 years ago, Night Trap especially like the six button controller
  13. When it’s currencies devaluing against the dollar driving the increase, you’d expect the US price to hold firm. Though they’re not immune to inflation at present either.
  14. Mine has been delivered - yay Wife has put it away until Christmas - FFS
  15. I’ve ordered mine tonight, though won’t get it until Christmas. I haven’t gamed on a computer since my Spectrum, I’ve been consoles all the way since then. Mini OTF has her own gaming laptop which has her Steam account on it, so we can do some family sharing. I’m pretty excited. Will get some emulators for it, also looking forward to plundering the PC back catalogue that’s never been available to me.
  16. Can’t ever remember a console price increase before. Prices cuts aplenty, some pretty rapid (I’m looking at you N64 and Xbox), but never an increase Sign of the times, the pound and euro are being creamed by the dollar
  17. Sad news. A great artist who gave an identity to the two most important magazines to me in childhood
  18. The Miyoo mini is great. not sure I’ll bother with Onion, I’ve got the 32x and Mega CD up and running in Retroarch, got to play Sonic CD for the first time in decades on Saturday night! I’ll spend a bit of time curating the games I want, get some GBC on there because I think they’ll look great on the screen and then take it from there.
  19. My Miyoo has arrived, it’s pretty awesome straight out of the box. Lost myself in GB Tetris for a bit. will set up a card with Onion tonight and compare, but first impressions are very good. that screen…
  20. Tracking says I’ll have my Miyoo tomorrow, can’t wait!
  21. The 2+ sounds better than mine. It was infuriating to set up, though performs well now. Can be hit and miss with some roms, especially mame. The built in N64 emulator is much better than retroarch. looked at the RG 351V, I’m hoping the Miyoo will keep me going until the next gen when we can get into Dreamcast properly and hopefully GC.
