  1. It's a bit of both, he lifted it from an RPG he bought which he threw the packaging of in the trash when he got home, and wound up digging through his bin at 2 in the morning to find some vital piece of information that was on the box.
  2. Yes, I think that was about Chapter 4 or whatever.
  3. Oh yeah and if the next season doesn’t include
  4. I feel this season tried a lot of stuff that it didn’t completely nail, like keeping the gang apart and the long episode runtimes, but the fact they landed it at all is a testament to the craft involved. Doesn’t hurt that it had two absolute moment-of-the-year musical bits either. How the fuck they wrap this up I dunno, but I’m a bit disappointed that we are once again having to deal with
  5. The Munsters and The Munsters Today were really pretty bog standard multi camera sitcoms, from what I remember from when I watched them. It feels a bit like Zombie liked The Munsters as a concept but given he's never done anything approximating a comedy before I can see why this feels kinda naive and amateurish.
  6. It looks absolutely nothing like The Munsters. I'm not sure how someone could look at this and go, "yes, this is what The Munsters looked like". It doesn't even look like The Munsters Today, which I'd sort of give a pass to on account of it being temporally adjacent to the sort of 80s grindhouse Zombie sometimes draws on, but no, it looks like an early 2000s film-scool-cum-straight-to-video horror movie.
  7. Or until (book spoiler)
  8. Blame Jeff Bezos. I do.
  9. This has extremely powerful "I found this at Blockbuster in the bargain bin next to the Horror section circa 2003, let's watch it while stoned and laugh" energy. I'm not sure if that's a style he's trying to replicate with ironic detachment or he slipped on an empty Jack Daniels bottle and bonked his head on a countertop on the way down.
  10. It's essentially the setup for (not a book spoiler)
  11. I didn’t realise Sauron was fired into Middle Earth like a fucking lawn dart.
  12. Wildly off topic, but when I was 14, me and my mates marched off three and a half miles into the uninhabited woodland outside my hometown. There could be found a ruined 13th century castle, and within, a branch of supple birch, into which the following legend was inscribed in harsh, black ink: "TECHU IS NOT A 7/10 EDGE"
  13. I don't recall that myself, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone misinterpreted what they were saying.
  14. Not really, they just said they got the code in advance but they didn't feel comfortable trying to rush through it to get a review out in time for the game's release window, on account of it being so absurdly expansive. I'm glad they did, many of the early reviews seemed to be from people who tried to breathlessly charge through the main storyline. I think a six or maybe a seven is fine for DS. I love it to bits but it's also at turns obtuse and bloated.
  15. I don’t think any game in recent memory, maybe ever, has captured the sensation of moving through a natural environment quite like this. Kojima is a man of singular obsessions and I wonder if he’s got hooked on Wier’s Way or something.
  16. What a pity. Oh well, here’s an excuse to post the extended interview about the magic they used to make the game.
  17. Nothing will top a sweaty Rock pausing his workout briefly to shill cola and talk about his film that has nothing to do with videogames.
  18. Man, I think I may be making a Bleed build.
  19. I think the Control co-op shooter is in production at one of their smaller teams, but I might be wrong.
  20. The much-delayed MGS remake will be revealed, possibly as part of the PSVR showcase.
  21. I thought it was a reprise of
  22. This looks stupid as fuck. Day 1.
