  1. Sadly, I don’t have anything else with a 3.5 drive.
  2. Just bought an (original) copy of Sensible World of Soccer (the first version) for my 600. I’m getting a read error when I try and load it. I’m assuming it’s the disk (it was sold as untested), but it looks in good condition. Is there anyone out there who is willing to check it for me on their Amiga (no-one I know has an Amiga)? I’ll bung it in the post to you; if it works you’ve got a free game (and I know my drive is on the way out), if it doesn’t, you’ve got a couple of coasters and I’ll continue my search for the game.
  3. Cheers for the replies on this. It’s a composite cable, flipping the Hz switch just increases/decreases screen size. TV is a Samsung a T28D310EW. Update: PAL carts will play in colour at 50Hz. Assume this is a case of the TV not being able to handle the composite NTSC signal? Incidentally, was the frame rate on Starwing really as bad as that? First time in years I’ve played it...
  4. I’ve dug out some old consoles that haven’t been touched in years with a view to selling them at some point. My JPN N64 (no RGB mod) and GameCube both produce a colour picture on my HDTV using the scart socket and a standard unmodded scart cable. Using the same cable with my UK SNES (running a USA copy of SMW, via an enlarged cart slot and 60hz switch) I get a black and white picture. Anyone know why this might be the case? It runs in colour on my old CRTV. Appreciate that using a HDTV isn’t ideal, but if I DO sell the consoles, I assume that’s what most people would use.
  5. If anyone hasn’t heard it, this interview clip with Peter Serafinowicz sums things up pretty well (worth listening to the end for the Terrance Stamp anecdote):
  6. Cheapest I could find is 44.99 by collecting from Smyths. My local store has a decent click and collect system in place, although I guess the actual store will be open in a couple of weeks. Much happier collecting rather than relying on the post at the moment. Will probably sell it on after finishing (no doubt I’ll buy it again on the PS5), so don’t want to go digital.
  7. All eight episodes are now up on IPlayer.
  8. Worth mentioning the series 2 commentaries are on YouTube as a single video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbr6SDWOMec These work really well when listening on your phone/device and watching the relevant episode on IPlayer at the same time.
  9. Ah, I just assumed toxicology reports would be carried out as standard as part of any autopsy.
  10. Enjoyed this a lot, but can’t work out
  11. Is it possible to resume a saved game in the Switch demo? Played about 20 mins and had to switch off after saving. Loading it back up, there doesn’t seem any option to carry on with my saved game.
  12. Ah. Haven't bought a new release from Amazon in an age - only reason I'm looking now is because I have a gift card.
  13. This is £40.99 if collected instore from Smyths. As someone else mentioned above - isn't it a bit odd that the biggest game of the year (so far) isn't available to pre-order from Amazon 11 days from release?
