The PowerA charging docks have separate battery covers for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S controllers. The batteries and docks are the same as far as I can tell. Might be something to do with that.

That's weird. X|S games just install on the external for me. I have to move them on first launch, but it still does the download at least.

Going by what I'm seeing on stock alerts, Xbox Series X is the hardest to get a hold of. Then the PS5, then the Xbox Series S. Microsoft have two different chips to produce, and they've obviously been using Series X chips to upgrade their cloud gaming infrastructure as well. It would probably be fine in normal times, but I can't imagine that it's doing them any favours just now.

Did you buy it direct from Sony? You should return it to the retailer.

There have been a few weird glitches like that. Ace Combat 5 and 7 are/were treated as the same game, meaning you had to use the version drop-down thing. And Mortal Kombat 11 lists all the X DLC as well as the 11 DLC.
