  1. If I wanted to buy exodus (PS5) do I want exodus @ 34.99 or exodus gold edition @ £15ish pound? Do both get the PS5 patch?
  2. Really comes alive if you can find someone to play co-op with
  3. May not have been the same delivery firm, but when asked my driver from Northampton told me they had issues with the equipment that they scan parcels onto vans with.
  4. Sweet, my order sorted itself out and it’s now on the other side of the city with the driver. Watching it make its way around Leicester in semi-real-time is kind of fun
  5. Frustratingly mine arrived at my local Amazon depot (Coalville about 15 minutes away) but was then transported to Northampton for onward delivery. It’s there that tracking implies is the problem
  6. Same here (Leicester) @Flub and @p1nseeker. Got the email, no password, order showing as ‘May be delayed’. Whilst I want it to arrive today I can’t set it up today as I have my kids here (they return to their mother tomorrow) - figured my middley (the most excited about getting a PS5) would be broken by watching a PS5 update itself and not get a significant amount of time to actually play with it. They all return to me next week for 5 days so he can discover a set up Ps5 then
  7. Goldeneye wasn’t it?
  8. It’s tough watch when you’ve a link to dementia. My best friend’s dad (more or less my second dad) succumbed to dementia in 2018, it put a lot of his behaviour in the final year into perspective. Made me bawl to the extent my kids woke up to come find me and see what was wrong.
  9. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger is my go to these days, but it’s too obvious a choice isn’t it? I have a lot of time for Rollin’ & Scratchin’ I lived with a DJ when homework was released, spent far too many hours getting high listening to him weave the tunes from that album over obscure french pop and balls to the wall disco from the 70s, so much love for the first couple of albums.
  10. Whilst I agree with most of your points, I could have sworn I heard Frankie - Relax as I sat not particularly enjoying it
  11. I was going to hold off until I got my hands I a PS5 also but then the game arrived ... whatcha gonna do? im playing ona PS4 pro and whilst it makes it sound like a jumbo jet taking off in some areas I’ve not seen a glitch or poor performance yet
  12. Sorry not sorry I mean, I’m very early on, but it just feels like my memories of what Deus Ex felt like on my first run through...but even stuff down to the character models, and as a Corpo, my initial environments, the things I’m seeing and being asked to do, so very reminiscent. I hope it continues in this vein
  13. From the first couple of hours with it, it feels like the game Deus Ex would have been if it was made today.
  14. As the game loads and you’re left at Press to continue, that tune playing is a banger
  15. So anyone playing this weekends beta and care to share some thoughts
  16. 1997 Judge Reinhold vehicle (pun intended) Runaway Car has a glorious sequence toward the end where a baby is first tried to be passed between speeding vehicles, and later When that fails airlifted out of the sun roof. Easily the worst movie I’ve ever watched, but had me howling at the faux tension of the baby lift and the ensuing near miss with a bridge @ about 2m 45 in the summary video below
  17. Am with you on Ben Wheatley (I wish I could recapture the numbness I felt as the credits rolled on Kill List, my intro to his art). Also adore Wes Anderson whimsy
  18. Agreed (EDIT with Mogster's post) I sit and watch it with my 8, 6 and 4 year olds and they adore it. It’s more for them these days than it is for me. As much as I see the faults I just go with it and enjoy it because I can see how much my kids are living every story. I have really strong memories of hiding behind the sofa and peeking out to see Tom Baker era Who, despite the changes in recent modern Who i can see that now with my own kids. I feel a head nuzzle into my armpit, a grip tighten on my forearm or catch glimpse of eyes through fingers as the kids do what they need to do to get t
  19. 1917 enjoyed it, gaze hardly shifted from the screen, impressive feat of film making but no desire to see it again 3/5
  20. Last year Davros told my kids they should stay in school and learn else they’ll never be a match for his intellect. It was a really nice touch, had me and my buddy chuckling like idiots...then we noticed his dalek guard had surrounded us and raised their plungers in our direction.
  21. “If you build it they will come” Normallyhas me bawling like a baby you the time ‘they come’, but then so does Marley and Me. Go figure
  22. Where's the love for Wes Anderson? When I'm feeling down I put on The Royal Tenenbaums and it picks me right up, without fail.
  23. Saw this yesterday. Fun, maybe not as much fun as the first (new) Jumanji. Awkwafina knocks it out of the park in the latter half of the movie. Most definitely MVP.
