  1. I actually like Pandemonium. Would deserve a modern rerelease. Got a real soft spot for the 2.5D platformers of the 32bit era.
  2. Can’t see Kane leaving myself. Levy won’t let him go on the cheap and he’s worth much more to Tottenham than anyone is going to be willing to pay. With the wages and contract length Kane want on top of that, as well as his age and injury record, I can’t imagine even the likes of City offering more than £60m and Levy will demand twice that, minimum. Kane is a bit naive. Why sign such a long contact without a release cause in the first place? Why would anyone put their faith on a gentlemen’s agreement with Levy of all people? Why not hire a super agent with leverage at the club to negotiate an exit? The only way Kane is getting out is if he kicks up a real stink over the next couple of months and I just don’t think he’s got that in him.
  3. Gini is off, I think Keita will be gone too. Harvey Elliott is ready to step up but definitely would need someone to fill in too. A new centre back is a given, can’t see us signing Kabak and Klopp knows that Gomez and Matip are made of glass. I can’t see any new attackers unless one goes. I think if anyone would leave it would be Mane.
  4. Matip, Gomez, Jota, Allison, Thiago, Keita... I’ve never known anything like it. The whole season has been one big injury crisis. And you can tell around the new year the last couple of years caught up with them what with the paper thin squad and patched up first 11’s, the team just burned out and every have felt like a grind. Even Klopp looked tired, powerless to change things and visibly fed up. A lot of personal issues to deal with too. To turn it around from the abyss, you just have to give it to them. Not the campaign anyone wanted but given the circumstances definitely a success.
  5. Looks banging. Definitely hope they do a proper retail release for this as I don’t want to wait until 2023 to play it from whatever limited run company has the rights to release it.
  6. Yeah, like the look of the black model but I’m definitely holding back on this as I’m not too convinced yet on the Evercade. It definitely needs some big publishers on it, just to give it legitimacy. Also it should surely try to get some new indie releases on it, make it not just a retro comp console but the only place for physical releases of certain indie and home brew games. Does anyone know the specs of the thing? What can it potentially do?
  7. Cosmic Smash, I’ll never understand why that’s not had a sequel or rerelease. Power stone, virtual tennis (still the best tennis game ever), bangai-o (unfortunately not vga compatible so doesn’t work on the hdmi adapter). Lots of homebrew releases; Xenocider came out a couple of months back, definitely check that out. The texorcist is out soon too and Andros Dunos 2. Then check out Xeno crisis, Flea, Alice dreams tournament and Sturmwind.
  8. Developers will just have to be more better at compressing their file sizes. 100gb for a game is silly, they have to be mindful of the cost of space that their games take. Especially with SSDs being costly they can’t expect consumers to want to devote a large portion of their SSD space to a single game. I’m not sure about others but if I’m sitting on a fence with a game the size of the download is a factor that pushes me either way. Currently happy with the Series S space. I can’t have everything on there but there’s no point in keeping games installed that I have no desire to play any time soon. I do keep a constant curated selection of classics mostly from the 360/360 arcade era that I like to keep available to dive into at any time but the amount of space they take up is minimal. I do plan on getting the SDD expansion once it’s under the £100 mark, till then I’m content.
  9. I hope not. I’d be a middle aged man by the time Elder Scrolls 6 is out then! I was at uni when Skyrim hit. I was like can’t wait until the next one is out in 5ish years, even bought an Xbox One on expectation of playing a new Elder Scrolls on it. I mean why wouldn’t there be? Except at Bethesda “shall we start making a sequel to the cultural and gaming phenomenon thats Skyrim? You know our most successful game ever?”, “Nah mate, let’s just kick that can down the road until everyone has forgotten that it existed”.
  10. When was the last time that’s happened in a game? Amazeballs!
  11. It’s beyond parody. Has any Prem team ever suffered such a calamity of injuries?
  12. You’ve got your finals mixed up. Its the FA Cup final not the Champions League final.
  13. Glad Leicester is winning but that’s just bullshit. You can’t be offside by millimetres. And it’s a shame that if Leicester win it it won’t be about an awesome goal or a great save but VAR yet again.
  14. Cant have an FA Cup final without devoting time to Tory ministers.
  15. Way too inexperienced. Her be best hanging around the SPL for a few more seasons and maybe cutting his teeth in the championship or alternatively go abroad.
  16. Brilliant, enjoyed that. I’ve been wanting him to do another retro console round up for a while. Hopefully he’ll redo some of the ones he did in the early days like the CDI that needed to be fleshed out a bit more.
  17. A bit harsh, the season has been wrecked by a biblical injury crisis. People were putting City’s indifferent form last season down to the absence of one (currently third choice) defender. Liverpool’s whole defence and midfield have had holes blown through them for the whole season completely unbalancing the side and forcing those who remain fit to continuously adapt to new systems. I still believe that a full strength Liverpool team would have walked the season. Next season with the long term injured returning and some additions I’d have high expectations.
  18. I like both games. I’m no hardcore shmup fan, I do prefer the simpler systems and find the more complex ones difficult to engage with. If you’re looking for an easy going and very fun shmup then Ghost blade is recommend, an excellent game to get non shmup playing friends or kids into the genre too. Ghost blade is very impressive on the DC, same with Sturmwind so you would lose that feeling when playing on modern hardware. Sturmwind is a favourite of mine, I dig the Lovecraftian sci fi vibe, can be rock hard but is pretty fair. I’m sure both a pretty cheap so worth picking up.
  19. United have been pretty ‘meh’ all season, they definitely need to improve if they want to maintain this position next year, they definitely won’t get away with falling behind so often or relying upon a moment of individual magic from one of their standout performers. They’ve been a rather underwhelming runners up. Once City got their act together they just strolled it. A drab season altogether. Lack of preseason, scheduling, empty stadiums and VAR seemingly defining and even deciding way too many games just made it all too forgettable.
  20. I’m sure they are trolling with the company name ‘Ready to dispatch’.
  21. My main problem with these in my experience is that they rarely deliver on time, every game I’ve purchased has been delayed a fair few months at least from its initial projection. Ironically some have gone on to get general retail releases later making the whole process pointless. Case in point Cotton Reboot from Strictly Limited was supposed to be released in March, yet still no sign of when that’s coming, and no update either, now I see it’s getting a general physical release in June anyway. Looks like I’d be able to pick up a copy from Amazon before I even hear about what’s happening with my strictly limited copy I preordered last year. Ready to dispatch games, I’ve all but given up ever seeing that copy of Radirgy Swag I preordered a year ago ever materialising. Generally the whole concept is a good idea, giving physical releases to some classic indie games that are too niche to get general retail releases. I generally dip in when a game I really like gets a physical release, it’s not often I do and have only bought five games this way previously but I’m already disillusioned with the whole process. It’s a good idea but is handled very poorly in practice.
  22. Got Sturmwind through the post today and have loved it. The best side scrolling shmup I’ve played in years, and looks stunning! Absolutely adore the video capture backgrounds, you can sort of feel it’s Jaguar CD origins as it has that early CD Rom game vibe but working at far more technically proficient level. One of the best looking shmups in the Dreamcast. It’s hard but very fair. Any player at any level can chip away at it and complete it even if you’re pretty useless at shmups like me.
  23. Must win against United now. Win that and in for a good shot at top 4.
  24. Apologies for my ignorance but does that stuff age people then? Would explain why so many professional footballers look like middle aged men by their mid 20s.
