  1. Went to a late night showing if this yesterday, me and the gf loved it. Great cast, cinematography, soundtrack and felt the story was gripping with a few jumps along the way. Not much in the cinema atm so would highly recommend for anyone wanting to catch a movie. Easily 4/5
  2. Best to describe Mourinho as ‘was’ successful. Which he clearly was, but he’s not progressed his methods with the changing times and has been left behind. Pep by contrast has changed and evolved his sides in the current world of high pressing and quick counter attacking teams. Mourinho hasn’t and his methods for building successful sides was dated by the time he took the Spurs job. He’s yesterday’s man, seeking that won’t bring any success.
  3. Don’t understand the manager hate when the problem at Spurs is the ageing team which has desperately been needing rebuilding for the past few years and which Levy refuses to open the purse strings to achieve. A new manager isn’t going to change anything, maybe the hate should be directed at Levy rather than a decent manager who is trying his best? You had Poch and a team that was inches away from challenging for top honours. Levy blew the hole in all that not Nuno.
  4. The crafting in animal crossing… fuck right off. Most crafting really, hugely in fashion but few games have made it enjoyable, I think I only liked it in Skyrim and Stardew as they fit the game well and are rewarding. Animal crossing’s designers must have been deliberately looking at how to make crafting an annoying and painfully tedious affair. Too many cut scenes, I want a game not a movie thanks. Long tutorials, if a game is this complex then it’s broken. A good game should be able to drop a player in with the basics and then let them discover more as they play. Skyrim and Stardew again do this perfectly. Overly complicated controls. Basically every Rockstar game. Feels like being able to play the game well requires a lot of muscle memory. No thanks.
  5. There’s an alternative universe somewhere where we sold Henderson for Clint Dempsey…
  6. I’m now one of the mugs who ordered the limited run Mushihimesama Standard edition. Couldn’t see any signs of a general release even in Japan so will look forward to waiting 8 months by which they’ll be selling an EU edition in Argos for £30.
  7. Is this not getting a physical release in Japan at least? Really don’t want to buy a limited run. And these limited run ‘collectors editions’ who buys this trash? It’s just tat, cheap plastic tat they throw in a box to rip off collectors. When this got released on the PS2 the limited edition was a cool statuette. Limited run companies just shot out the cheapest and effortless collectors editions.
  8. One thing I’ve got from that Squire’s is that I never knew that Beckham has taken £150m worth of blood money to be the face of Qatar 2022. Never rated the man as a player but certainly don’t rate him as a person either now. Also didn’t know that Scholes gets very intimate with his daughter’s feet.
  9. Disappointed that that try I didn’t go on to make it six or seven
  10. Had some friends over the other night and this game is an absolute blast with four players offline. Works very well on the Switch’s split joycons too. Definitely now an essential party game next to Mario Kart.
  11. 2000? That’s ridiculous. Basically under that rule back in 2000 anything after 1980 isn’t retro. Retro is anything that’s not currently being officially supported, PS3/360/Wii would be the newest retro consoles. People who are getting long in the tooth might think that those were only released yesterday but many who are today old enough to drink and drive would have been barely out of nappies when they were released.
  12. Actually a decent looking remaster if the trailer is anything to go by. Hopefully the radio stations have remained uncompromised. Gone from not interested to kind of intrigued about having this on the Switch. Will wait to see if there’s a physical release.
  13. Strictly limited is reliable. Picked up a few games from them in the past no issues other than the usual long waiting time you get with these limited run companies.
  14. Who buys this shit? Could do a complete but literally selling each 30yr old game singularly and at full priced to boot.
  15. Good video but all the things he criticises Shenmue for is all the same reasons why I adore the game. I think if you don’t like the mundanity of Shenmue then Shenmue just isn’t the game for you. It’s the pace which makes Shenmue what it is. That Edge quote is bullshit too. To top it off there’s a bizarre comparison to GTA3, the games are completely different, even still GTA3 isn’t fit to scrub Shenmue’s boots. At least that suffered an even worse Edge review.
  16. Now a sequel to Alice: Madness returns would be awesome
  17. Qatar World Cup can fuck right off. I can’t even try to think about it without being awfully sad and burning with rage at the same time. Your national team will be walking out onto a stadium built on the bodies of slave labour as the world applauds. There’s things in the world that is just pure evil, there’s nothing else you can describe them as, the human suffering that’s happening purely for a sporting event, for greed, money and so a small oil state can willy wave to the world. Are we truly okay with the lives being crushed for games of football? I haven’t looked at the qualifiers and the tournament doesn’t exist to me. I wish the national team would refuse to play or at least one player make a stand to highlight the inhumanity that they are complicit in by taking part in it. Football sold out long ago, it sold its soul, it sold its morals its now capitalism in its most inhumane and evil incarnation. It’s hard as a supporter, because we love our clubs, but truly just fuck football.
  18. Its rather grotesque to consider football fans victims in a case of their club being taken over by a deplorable regime, when there exists actual victims of said regime. Many of whom have suffered torture and murder. The inflated sense of entitlement in football fandom is far from victimisation. Having to evaluate your sense of morals is not comparable to actual persecution. The fanbase has to make a simple decision, to vocally and financially support Newcastle under this ownership is to legitimise the new owners and by extension their human rights abuses. Giving up a season ticket is not comparable to the suffering of real victims. It’s reprehensible that this take over is even allowed. Another sad day for English football that flushed its moral compass down the toilet in pursuit of greed many years ago. It would be so amazing if the support united against this take over and showed that football fans at least are not in thrall to money but I have a sinking feeling that a large portion at least don’t care what atrocities their owners commit as long as it brings their club success.
  19. Love the Shenmue games yet because I’ve never owned a PS4 I’ve yet to try the long awaited third. No chance of this ever appearing on Switch or a box? Thought it would have eventually but still no sign
  20. I’m looking at the goal over and over again and can’t make out how he did it. I need a close up in slow motion to see how he managed to leave five of City’s players for dead. If that was produced by Messi in his prime people would be exploding over replays of it. You’d say it was impossible to score from that situation but not only did he do it he made it look so simple.
  21. Man likes the Dreamcast too so you know that it’s banging. Electronica spliced with tracks from the likes of Street fighter 2 and Shenmue? Fuck yeah. https://av-0.bandcamp.com/album/dreamtime-reset The mash up of hip hop and Radiohead you never thought that you needed until now. https://handsolorecords.bandcamp.com/album/chadiohead
  22. The issue of Sega Saturn Magazine which had a free copy of Christmas Nights on the front of course. That was awesome!
