  1. If you like Stath lets flats, Young offenders or Derry girls, these kind of stupid humour comedies then King Gary is a must watch. I found it hilarious.

I have to admit I wasn’t overly excited when I first heard we were linked to him but he’s an Arsenal player now, really wants to be at the club and has come across really determined and well up for it. We should get behind him. All this shit he’s getting on social media is embarrassing and the people posting all this bollocks are nothing but mugs. He’s been getting some real shit on various platforms and he’s done nothing wrong apart from wanting to play for us and to show what he can do.

Not sure what you mean. Are you saying the club said they had Covid to cover up something else? The club said they were ill last week. Just that. And they were. The press, and everyone else however, jumped on stories, made up stories about them having fallen out with Arteta, Auba wants to go, we want him to go, we want Laca to go but no one wants him etc etc...

Auba, Laca, Willian & Runarsson all tested positive and that was the reason they didn’t play last week. So much for them having fallen out with Arteta and there being more to it…..

So Ramsdale not starting tonight for Sheffield United surely means that deal is done too.

I feel a bit better now. Maybe that was done to give us some chance of getting a few quid for him if/when he's sold next summer.

Odegaard will be a good signing and I think it's looking like it's going to happen. I think we'll get Ramsdale too and that'll be it with the ins. Surely a couple will leave even though it should be at least 5. Odegaard was good last season for us and could potentially develop into an excellent player. I've kind of wanted Maddison instead though to play as an 8 next to Partey with ESR as the 10. I know having the luxury of sometimes resting players can't be a bad thing, as well as the inevitable injuries taken into account, so having both Odegaard and ESR in the same squad/team isn't bad of course even though that probably means ESR will be moved to the left or right like last season. Surely he's stronger through the middle? I wonder if Odegaard can play deeper in the 8 role and ESR as the 10 with Saka on one side and either Pepe, Martinelli or Auba on the other side? On the down side, if it's true that we turned down £12mill from Palace for Eddie then that's turned out pretty shit as he's now injured so how on earth do you sell a shit and injured player. If Roma gave us a few extra million Xhaka would have gone so how he ends up with a new 4 year contract and the captains armband is beyond me. I know the market is dead but I can't understand how we can't get rid of Bellerin who apparently wants to leave and is prepared to take a pay cut, can't give Kolasinac away, can't get rid of Torreira who's playing with Mickey Mouse somewhere, can't get even a few quid for AMN who Wolves wanted for £20mill a year ago apparently. As for Willian, I know his wages are a huge problem with moving him on but surely something just has to be arranged to get him out the door.

Willian isn’t even on the bench. Hope that means he’s off. Karl Hein is our sub keeper. 19 years old. Scary.

Could be Leno, Chambers, Mari, White, Tierney, Xhaka, Lokonga, Saka, ESR, Pepe, Martinelli or Balogun Still a decent 11 The bench is going to be horrendous though

Are there any news on the Partey injury and how long he'll be out? He was having a scan on Monday just gone wasn't he?
  11. Could Messi play for 'free' By that I mean he's off Barcelona's wage bill but a club sponsor pays him to play there and the sponsorship money Barca would get is just adjusted accordingly. Or is that just breaking all the rules?
  12. They’re all crazily good players but potentially he’s as good, if not better, than all of them. Foden might have something to say about that though.
  13. They would cost a bit more I think. £100 million for Grealish is about right.

I think I would like to keep only Willock out of this group. We should try and get as much as we can for AMN and Nketiah. Maybe a loan for Nelson wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. All that said, ideally it would be nice to get rid of Willian, Bellerin, Cedric, Kolasinac and Torreira first. All easier said than done of course. Then get Maddison in to play as an 8 next to Partey and leave ESR as the 10. Then either Lamptey from Brighton or Aarons from Norwich at RB. Desperately need a number 2 keeper too. Not convinced with Ramsdale, especially for £30+mill. If there’s still money floating around then sell Laca and bring in a replacement. Martinez would be great but very unlikely. Not Tammy Abraham please. No more Chelsea cast offs. Bissouma would have been good if Xhaka went to Roma. Better than Sander Berge. A Xhaka move would have been good for all concerned I think. I would have preferred that. That’s everything I know.
  15. PSG got to be favourites I suppose. Man City maybe in with a shout what with the Pep connection (and the billions of pounds floating around of course). USA maybe? Juventus would be fun if it meant Messi and Ronaldo in the same team.

I'm sure there's some truth in Villa making these bids for Smith-Rowe but can't believe we'd even consider it. £50 million shouldn't even be considered. Get him tied down to a new long term contract, like Saka & Tierney, and put an end this nonsense.

My point wasn't that we are playing 7 out of the other 19 teams, surely you get that yeah? My point was that 7 of these games, out of the first 14 games, are against the teams I've mentioned (all the 'top' teams) and they look pretty tricky on paper of course. 5 out of these 7 are away too. And what I meant about Christmas, is if we find ourselves adrift in mid table or even worse by this time I can't see Arteta surviving. Hope that's cleared it up for you.
  20. Got everyone talking about Coca Cola so I'm not sure they mind so much. Also, I see Pogba has got in on the act and made sure we all know Heineken are the beer sponsors of the Euro's.

Even more ridiculous, Sky are also reporting that we've rejected a Villa bid for Smith-Rowe I know his contract runs out in two years but if we don't tie him down to a long term deal we might as well pack up and call it a day.

In our first 14 games, until 4th December, we've got Chelsea at home, City away, Sp*rs at home, Leicester away, Liverpool away, Utd away & Everton away. It's going to take some performances, and even more so results, if Arteta is still going to be in charge at Christmas.
  23. I agree with France being the favourites. I think they've got the best squad & team. Belgium could finally actually win a tournament however I've got a feeling for Italy.
  24. I think Foden has been handled perfectly at City by Pep. Everyone was on at Pep about why Foden was only playing a few minutes here and there, then disappearing for a month, then playing a game or two before disappearing again. Once he was 'ready' and Pep let him off the leash he's looked like the best youngster/player in the league. In Europe even. I just wish Saka and Smith-Rowe could have been protected in the same way instead of already being the main players everyone looks to at Arsenal. I suppose City having the squad they have helps of course.

@Gotters The 3rd episode is good too. A lot about Jimmy White who was nuts too by the way. I thought a young Steve Davis looked like a young Rodney Trotter. This 69 break from Higgins they spoke about in Episode 1 is just insane. Some terrible positional shots followed by the most amazing pots. Shots that players nowadays certainly wouldn't take on. One missed pot would have been game over.
